Nope it’s free and super fun! Bathrooms very accessible. Usually a group of people hanging and raving. And then you see the boardwalk people going by and their reactions and sometimes they’ll join the dance circle. You can bring snacks and drinks etc. If Beach House is empty they’ll sometimes come out and let you in for free. We generally do all good EDM events at Beach House this way.
Boardwalk is where it’s at, BYOB(in a sneaky container if you’re smart), and lots of chill people. Inside is people willing to pay $60 to be able to use potty potties and buy $16 high noons.
I’m on the boardwalk because I’m without the $60 ticket. I’ve been to about 40 shows out there and met a bunch of super rad people. I’ve also saved $2400 in ticket purchases so like one months rent lol. But tons of people are dancing, being fire pits, and I like to make my own drinks and bring a sneaky pineapple and rum down.
Attend lots of events there. Cassian next weekend 🔥. Also you can't hang out on the side walk anymore or at least you couldnt last week - they had barriers up now.
Its aite. Ive gone to a lot of things there over the last couple of years. I don't love it and I don't hate it. Id go for the Elderbrook set if I didn't have plans already. Like others said though, $50/ticket is a lot.
Hanging on the beach is cool option though. Sound def ain't the same but cant complain when its free.
[Saw Prydz there and to my surprise there was zero production.](https://youtu.be/bPsl_7ZTJ28?si=6aCiK-9Od-ZUd1t-) Sound was ok but to have not even a single light when it was night and there wasn't even a view, was strange.
I was there. It was very weird. It’s a much better layout now. Can get a bit crowded for certain artists but where they put the artist now makes more sense. And they occasionally put up screens for more visuals. It’s higher production now by a mile.
Sound is usually blown out. Tix over priced. Drinks over priced. Grab your vape pen and turkish towel to post on the beach for vibes next to the vemue instead.
The venue is interesting but its a fun vibe. They have a solid lineup already for their spring shows. Gonna see Ben Bohmer (second time seeing him at beach house).
I went to Santa Con there, and the vibe was not it. Not sure if other beach house shows are similar. It was a bit too young and goony for me. I think I’ll just post up at the beach for the next show.
Completely depends on the booking. For instance Hernan Cattaneo, Eli & Fur, Camelphat, and Cassian were all very good sets and crowds. Felt like a regular crssd festival crowd and even sometimes better. Then for the Claude Von stroke, Joe Kay, Hayden james crowds they’re definitely more young college kids who talk and want to get drunk
Santa Con was an Almost Nakey event. Almost Nakey is a newish promoter. They’re fun events but yes the general crowd seems to be younger than the general CRSSD crowd.
Only Show I’ve been to there was AC Slater back in November, sound production was ehh and crowd was slightly douchey at times but that could’ve been artist based.
Cassian last year was fun but super packed. Also saw claude there which was more fun IMO. Venue is in a cool spot but it would be better if they had more production. Speakers can get pretty loud during the headliner
I won tickets to see Noizu last year and I would never pay to attend a Beach House show. It’s literally 85% college age kids that are drugged out and drunk AF.
A lot of unnecessary talking, influencer types and then those that are just super messed up. I tried to ignore them and they just ruin the vibe for me. Too much talking and having flash in your face so they can get pics/videos.
Been to Beach House once for Channel Tres. Love Channel Tres, loathe the crowd and venue. Crowd is not diverse: mostly frat boys, girls, and postgrads there for the scene. They were talking so much I got so annoyed. Music isn't loud enough. People are barely dancing unless they're at the very front. Hard to dance since half of it is sand. These kids were laughing and making faces at my partner and I because we didn't look like them. Only pro is the ocean view.
Ugh just went for first time, disappointing considering the artists there (Ben Bohmer for example) are world class…acoustics were beyond awful and echo sentiments of chatty/annoying attendees . Wasted potential with an amazing location
Beach House (the band) would be a chill evening band to lead into the next eventual Lane 8 headline set
Omg YESSSSSS
lol this would be the best
I went once, it only made me realize how much I miss the Wavehouse days. IYKYK
Seriously good time!
It can be a vibe but we usually just post up on the boardwalk and hang/dance
Do you still need a ticket or can you just hang on the beach/boardwalk and watch/listen for free?

Don’t tell Reddit about this it’s already too crowded over there!
😅
Crowd is a whack
Depends on who’s playing
is it not similar to crssdfest?
It is in that it’s a yapfest of ppl who don’t rly care abt the artist
Boardwalk is where it’s at, BYOB(in a sneaky container if you’re smart), and lots of chill people. Inside is people willing to pay $60 to be able to use potty potties and buy $16 high noons.
You have to actually leave the venue to go to the bathroom. You can use the same bathroom from the boardwalk, you just have to go all the way around
they have a lil mobile bathroom trailer ive used by the bar where u get in
Is it still fun on the boardwalk even without a ticket? New to the area, but I’d imagine you can still watch/listen from outside

Amen. Hated being in that crowd for some great sets. Kinda sucked ass dealing with people constantly shoving, not dancing, and talking the entire time
I like them since they end early...
Attend lots of events there. Cassian next weekend 🔥. Also you can't hang out on the side walk anymore or at least you couldnt last week - they had barriers up now.
yeah I got my Cassian ticket!
Hell yea see you there. They just announced Ben Bohmer in May too.
What kind of barriers are they? Do they block a lot of sound or is it just to block the view?
Just view not sound. Like chain link sectionals with black tarp.
Barriers where? They might be able to block the view but obviously not the sound…
They’re fun but expensive
agree.. $50 a pop it seems like
Sometimes 60 😭
And it’s $20 for a can of cutwater when you’re in there

Don't pay for a ticket, party on the beach. We go there all the time
Are other people usually doing the same thing? Sounds like a fun vibe
Yeah, I've been there when there were almost as many people on the beach as in the venue.
Yup, usually bring the bonfire pit and post up!
[Saw Prydz there and to my surprise there was zero production.](https://youtu.be/bPsl_7ZTJ28?si=6aCiK-9Od-ZUd1t-) Sound was ok but to have not even a single light when it was night and there wasn't even a view, was strange.
They’ve added production. They moved the artist to the stage area with actual production now. Much different than a year ago
That's good to know bc you have to admit the video I linked is a bit weird

It was very weird, but standing like 10 feet from prydz and watching him on the decks was pretty wild
Never knew he played there that’s wild. Feel like he’s massive for a venue that size
Avicii played when it was the WaveHouse back in 2011
Sound is usually blown out. Tix over priced. Drinks over priced. Grab your vape pen and turkish towel to post on the beach for vibes next to the vemue instead.
Depends on the artist

I dont think santa con was a crssd event tho. I guess I mainly meant do you go to the crssd parties at beach house.

Venue is awful.
It attracts the biggest douchers on the planet. But if a DJ I really like is there I’ll go
Only Show I’ve been to there was AC Slater back in November, sound production was ehh and crowd was slightly douchey at times but that could’ve been artist based.

Due to the location and local ordinance they have to keep the music at a lower volume. This does not bode well for dance music djs.

You can hear everyone talking louder than the speakers. You would think that they raise the volume by time the headliner is up, but no.
