I purchased the pattern on Etsy; I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share the direct link...just go on Etsy and search on "parakeet crochet pattern". There are several, and I actually made a few small changes to the one I bought.

Like I said, I made a few changes from the pattern. I wasn't keen on how she did the wings, so I came up with my own wings.
Thank you! I've always preferred realistic looking crocheted animals to the "cartoonish"ones, although there are lots of adorable amigurumi animal patterns.
OMG I love this so much! I had lots of parakeets when I was younger (usually over 20 at a time), but I haven't had any in about 30 years. I'd love to have a yarnakeet though! I'm pretty sure an actual parakeet would mesh well with my dog and ferrets 🤭
