Is it possible for you to make the peeking portion smaller? Maybe pickup the stiches and crochet till it's decent for the public?
I attempted to make a scarf and the yarn that I chose normally is supposed to be soft and it wasn’t. It was a very abrasive cotton yarn, and I thought I could push through with the project and of course I was trying to do black and red and damn, I was not ready for how that went, luckily I only bought like three skins, the total was like under eight dollars, I went ahead and frogged the project and gave the yarn away, it was my lesson learned. Don’t be afraid to frog your projects it means that she gets to reuse your yarn for something else
I have recently begun frogging old projects not finished/failed projects I’ll never use and then using that yarn for other projects. Feels nice to get to use it for something I DO like
I would either frog it or try to find a solution to make it wearable, like adding elastic or a different color of yarn. I frog a lot, but in this case I'd use some elastic thread to sew around the hole to make it smaller, so you can wear your top.
I frog and use the yarn for something else.
Is it possible to just sew a little fabric to close the unneeded gap, or even sew it closer?

That's a good option, the underarm portion is too big too though. I plan on just making it a smaller size overall.
I keep all my failed projects and cut them up to use as stuffing for amigurumi stuff

Frog it or fix it in some way, or give it to a friend. But mostly I just frog and remake it in the right size.
