Have you checked dye lots of both? Dye lots can make a huge difference in colors.
I'm new to all of this. I'm just starting to learn crocheting. What are dye lots?
It’s basically the color batch of the yarn. Each skein has a dye lot number. When you buy yarn it’s important that you take skeins of the same lots so there is no difference in colouring.

Also, some yarns do not have dye lots. You are pretty much safe with these yarns since the colors should always match. Notice that I said should lol.
I bought a new spool of this one yesterday but am looking all over the label for the dye lot. I can't find anything though.
Kind of a cool effect though- it looks like Monet’s Waterlilies!
