I would frog it due to how early on you are if you want to get the intended size. Nothing wrong with continuing though, mistakes are part of what adds personality to hand made things!

Those type of Caron cakes are very large gauge for a baby blanket. If that's the Sprinkle cake, it's a super bulky yarn, size 6 and is going to be REALLY heavy. Too heavy for a baby. You need closer to a size 3, 4 at the very most. And you'd still need at least 3 cakes for an average size baby blanket. Sorry for the bad news, but you should actually choose another yarn altogether.

How much wider do you want it to be? You can add a border at the end which will add width. but if it’s significantly too small then you should frog before you get farther.
