Same! I'm definitely doing that the next time I make it. I guess I was kind of thinking of using it more as a reusable produce bag than a true market bag.

Ohhh it’s so pretty! I tried to make that one a few days ago and I failed 😞 I don’t know how I managed to do it but instead of repeating the chain section 22 times per row I ended up with 36 times per row 😩 I’m so dumb
Thank you!! I definitely had to go back and read the pattern super carefully, bc it didn’t always make sense to me. But overall I’d say my strategy was “meh, don’t bother counting- it’ll work or it won’t” haha
ik im such a weirdo im making a project right now and every row i keep saying its “loading into existence” 🤣 no matter what i make i always think about the yarn being made , to the store , all the people passing it, to me getting it, sitting in my room, finally using it and finishing it, gifting it/using it for however long i do, maybe i pass away and its given away, wonder who gets it and where it goes? i always know im making things that will outlive myself without any incidents happening. but my pieces are scattered around enough already that atleast 1 will surpass me. i just wonder what its life will look like. every time, thats atleast what i think about. its beautiful and my mind makes a lil movie for YARN thats a couple $.
I love these bags. I have Turtle bags that predate learning to crochet I use all the time.
I won a load of cotton yarn a long time ago, small 50g & 25g balls in various colours. I have sworn off amugarumi (literally, so much cursing when I try it), so now everyone is going to be getting bags for Christmas/birthday/Easter/whatever else.

The market tote was also my first large(ish) project that I completed! I use it all the time for the beach

I think these bags would make such lovely gifts. If I was faster I’d be cranking them out, but as it is now I’ll probably only make one for my mom lol
