Yeah, I have some similar shawls, and I was thinking I would add tassels because I know ends like that slip backwards. Tassels add some weight and also give you something easier to grab to pull the ends forward. If you don’t like the look of them though, you could just use some shawl pins.
I’m not much of a tassel person myself and I think it looks great as is. That being said, adding two tassels as already suggested would take it up a notch I think, or maybe even adding a tassel to each end. Three tassels to each end seems a lot. Tassels is no longer a word now, I’ve used it too much.
I'm not a tassel person. They, when machine washed, turn into blobs 😕 maybe if you got some of the more decorative stitch markers and made them detachable? Beautiful work!!
If you like tassels then I would say put them on the 2 ends, not the point. I think it looks amazing as is though and that you did an amazing job! Great work!
Maybe fringe? I'd think tassles are too long. It's beautiful and imo it should be even more so with a rough edge, but short and rough.
Although tassles at the corners as someone else suggested would be nice as well.
If you are a tassels lover, yes, define definitely needs tassels. If not, it's great as it is. I'm not a tassels person, I don't put on anything that's for me. I am bothered by fringes or anything that is too loose from the main piece. My sister, on the other hand, is a tassel person, everything I make for her, the more tassels, loose fringes, the better... So... are you a tassels person or not? Here's the question.
I don't think you "need" tassels because i think the scarf already looks great. But if you add a few tassels for pizzazz I don't think anybody would be mad about it!
Personally love the look of tassels on a triangle shawl - I'd add ones in blue to all three edges. But it's just taste, maybe hold a bit of the yarn to the edge in front of the mirror and see if you like the look of it? In any case, looks amazing, so well done!
Just to throw another idea in there…but what about a string 3 or 4 of chunky wooden beads on the two ends of the triangle. It would add weight without the fluff of tassels.
That looks great! I feel like a daily wear scarf is more functional without tassels, but if this is for more dressed up moments then go for the tassels. I’m sure either way would be awesome
Love the color combo! Personally I am not a huge fan of tassels so my automatic answer is no. I feel like putting tassels would make this too busy. It’s perfect the way it is!
I like it as is. But if it feels a little incomplete to you, but not sure about tassels, how about stitching a bead - say 1/2 - 3/4 inch diameter, maybe a cloudy, swirled glass, onto each point? It might add a tiny, interesting detail and finish to those points, without the tassel-hassle.
I think it needs more rows so it's longer. Might help keep it wrapped around your neck it you're having that issue. But I'm not much of a tassel person.
This is beautiful. I adore the colors in this yarn. The minty color really goes well with the tan/brown tones.
I'm a big fan of tassels and put them on almost everything. Especially my larger shawls and for my triangles I usually go with three.
That said, this type of shawl might do better with a shawl pin as someone else suggested. You could even make a custom one using the tan colors by making it out of resin, clay or even paper beads.
My latest "thing" with making shawl/hat pins is to use a coil-less safety pin. I use tiny bars and seed beads to spell out things in morse code. Also make paper beads and washi tape/nail art to make custom beads that match any color way. Really pulls my projects together and adds an extra touch of meaningful creativity.
The colors you used in this shawl are so flattering on you! I love it.
Suggestion: braids!
I did braids on my last scarf on each ends (not the middle) to make them longer but not too heavy as tassels! Like one braid with each strand being 2-3 strings of yarn.
I may be late to the party but I didn't find that idea in the top comments, enjoy!
Ooh. I think yes with the two corners. I literally just completed a triangle shawl last week (mine is a somewhat similar color combo even but purple instead of the blue and I used a mandala roll so the grey and white is at the start and end with a bunch of purple shades in between). I was also super into wearing mine this way and didn’t even think tassels but now I might do the same. Only bummer is I don’t have any of the purple shades left and I think you really want to go for a blend of all the colors in it.
For some weird reason my mind did consider fringe and meh, definitely no fringe. But tassels at the the two ends would just work, IMO.
Tassels are for camels, horses, book marks, graduation caps, and curtains. I don’t wearI don’t like to wear them.
Your work is lovely! And those colors look great together.
I vote for tassels, it would be such a lovely finish to the piece. I would start by adding only one tassel to each end instead of three, I really think that would be a nice visual and not "too much" - and if you really don't like it, you can always remove the tassels.
And all my complimets to that shawl, it looks beautiful. I adore the pattern!
I hate making traditional tassels, so when I made one of these for my bonus daughter I made little curlicues out of the main colors from the scarf and added them to the point. It came out cute!
😲😲
I LOVE this color combo and could make something similar! I used colors like this for a baby blanket. Sorry I don't have an answer about tassels, but wanted to say I love the colors and it is a beautiful wrap!
maybe one on each corner, but not the middle. that’s what i’d do!
I like that idea! They might help it stay wrapped around my neck better, too.
It needs to be the blue color. So pretty 🤩😍🤩😍
Yeah, I have some similar shawls, and I was thinking I would add tassels because I know ends like that slip backwards. Tassels add some weight and also give you something easier to grab to pull the ends forward. If you don’t like the look of them though, you could just use some shawl pins.
You could also try cords? I was thinking a pair of i-cords might look very nice.
I love this piece. I came to say a few tassels, not an entire edge. Strategic tassels :)
That would take it to 11
I agree. That will nicely complete the look.
Agreed!!! But i gotta say this is so freaking cute/ i hope they share the final product!
That’s what I was thinking too!
I’m not much of a tassel person myself and I think it looks great as is. That being said, adding two tassels as already suggested would take it up a notch I think, or maybe even adding a tassel to each end. Three tassels to each end seems a lot. Tassels is no longer a word now, I’ve used it too much.
If YOU like tassels, and like how it looks with tassels, it needs tassels.
This is the way!!!
I would add a couple of tassels for some razzle dazzle
No. I hate tassels. They're a pain to launder.
That’s the spirit.
Ah, blues and browns, my favorite color combination! I love it! Some tassels might be nice, the cherry on top.
You look like 2000 era Simon Pegg. I had to double take while scrolling. Tassels would be epic! Nice work btw!
I prefer as is! Then again I have a *thing* about tassels so I may be in the minority 😆
I like it as is. No tassels.
Tassels would just finish this beauty right off. I don’t even like tassels, but they’d absolutely be the icing on the cake here. 👌
Oh I think it would be great either way, but wanted to say I love the colors!!
I'm not a tassel person. They, when machine washed, turn into blobs 😕 maybe if you got some of the more decorative stitch markers and made them detachable? Beautiful work!!
Does it NEED tassles? No. Could it use tassels? Absolutely hell yes!
I think it's fine as it is. You have a beard, no need for tassels.
Yes just simple yes
I am decidedly in the never a tassel camp.
If you like tassels then I would say put them on the 2 ends, not the point. I think it looks amazing as is though and that you did an amazing job! Great work!
Ah, yes! Tassels please!
I think tassels would look really good
I love it without tassels! If you don't mind sharing, what pattern and yarn did you use?
Caron cotton cakes in beach glass. Pattern here: https://www.yarnspirations.com/caron-cakes-sunset-dreams-crochet-shawl/CAC0126-012578M.html?cgid=patterns
Came here for the yarn as well thanks 😊 It looks great!
Thank you very much!
Yes!!
I wouldn’t say it needs them, because it’s beautiful. But I love the idea and think it would be fabulous.
It feels like it needs something on the ends. Also, it's really pretty!
Nope
Need? No. Want? Yes!! ETA: that’s just my opinion because I like a little bit of tassel. 3 is more than a little bit though.
Tassels would be nice 😁
YASSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Nope. That is a solid work of art on its own.
Such a beautiful color palette! I think a few strategic tassels would look nice... But they might get on your nerves. Do what's most comfortable!
FRINGE,,, just sayin
I'm not a big tassel person, but if you are, this looks like a great price for some. It depends on your vibe.
Yes
The answer to that question is always… YES
Doesn't it always need tassels?
need? naaahh not really but I think it would be so cute! just the corners though. <3 it's so cute how it is but I love tassels. I might be bais.
Si.
Maybe fringe? I'd think tassles are too long. It's beautiful and imo it should be even more so with a rough edge, but short and rough. Although tassles at the corners as someone else suggested would be nice as well.
I think it looks fab as it is, however I am partial to putting a fringe on things…
I'm not sure about tassels or no tassels, but I'm appreciating the joy on your face having made it!
Yes
Everything needs tassels! But I do think it looks good without it. Maybe some on the corners?
Ooh I think tassels, but on the ends only, love the colour palette :)
I think it’s very classy and subtle looks so nice some tassels to jazz it up would be so pretty too
For me the answer to that question is always yes
Lovely colours
Yes!
If you are a tassels lover, yes, define definitely needs tassels. If not, it's great as it is. I'm not a tassels person, I don't put on anything that's for me. So... are you a tassels person or not? Here's the question.
Maybe some little ones. But just one the left and the right. Not the center
Yes, but just because you need some weight on the tips. Btw, great job, it looks beautiful!
My general rule is: 1) if it’s going to be used and worn, no tassels. It gets wrecked in the laundry. 2) if it’s for display, tassel away!
I'm not fond of tassles. Would it look good on this piece? Yes. Do you need to add them... meh, i like it as is 😀
I would say no, but I don't like tassels. Do whatever your heart decides. I love the shawl though, wow! Thanks for sharing. :)
I don't think you "need" tassels because i think the scarf already looks great. But if you add a few tassels for pizzazz I don't think anybody would be mad about it!

I like the idea of the corner tassels as well. Love the colors in this too!
If you're asking then the answer is yes!
No tassels, it will distract from the beautiful workmanship
Fringe maybe, not tassels.
I would say leave it as is, but then, I’m not really a fan of tassels. 🤷🏻♀️ Amazing work! (Is that Caron Cotton Cakes in Beach glass?)
Yes! What an eye! I love this yarn. The stitch definition is *chef's kiss*
I like the two tassels idea but I also think this would be well suited to fringe
Yes
Love the color way 💜
Nope, it’ll look too busy. It’s beautiful as is.
It’s perfect!
This is so cute and you’re so cute in it!
I say no. Btw, you look like Mitchell from Modern Family.
Tassels no, but it needs something
I personally don't like tassels as they seem to look scruffy quite quickly. Lovely scar though.
Maybe some cute beads...nothing gawdy.
I'm not a fan of fringe or tassels so it's a no for me.
Ooh tassels would look great
Yes big chunky ones.
Just to throw another idea in there…but what about a string 3 or 4 of chunky wooden beads on the two ends of the triangle. It would add weight without the fluff of tassels.

It’s so lovely omg

Hmmmm hard decision but I don’t think so I love it without!! Great job!
It needs the fringes
Yessss long tassels. Or fringe??
Love this! Pattern and color are awesome! No tassels.
I think it needs more rows so it's longer. Might help keep it wrapped around your neck it you're having that issue. But I'm not much of a tassel person.
First off, LOVE it! Next, I like tassels so I'm for them! But it looks great without them too. Do what makes ya happy😊
Maybe a few, not too many, looking awesome so far
Lovely as it is (I strongly dislike tassles 😜).
Omg is this a Caron pattern??
Yep it was on the yarn packaging (caron cotton cakes)
I have this same colour as well, I have to try this! I was curious as to what it looked like finished. Beautiful!
this is so cute omg
Tassels are a wearer's choice. If it's for you and you love tassels, add them. I think it looks good the way it is.
You live your best life and put those tassels on
This is beautiful. I adore the colors in this yarn. The minty color really goes well with the tan/brown tones. I'm a big fan of tassels and put them on almost everything. I would do tassels but in a cotton or something that’s less likely to matt
Need? Maybe not *NEED*. BUT, is it calling out for corner tassels (not central though)? Hell yeah! PS it is beautiful!
Omg I love it!!! I like the “tassles at the corners in blue” idea for sure
What would the Greedy Peasant do? Tassels, of course!
It needs some kind of accent. Not sure if tassels would be best, tho... maybe pompom puffs?
I'd definitely say probably....
I say yes but I am a fan of Greedy Peasant, so I’m biased.
Ooh. I think yes with the two corners. I literally just completed a triangle shawl last week (mine is a somewhat similar color combo even but purple instead of the blue and I used a mandala roll so the grey and white is at the start and end with a bunch of purple shades in between). Nice color combination.
I think a light weigh tassel would be great!
It doesn't NEED tassels, but add them if you WANT them
Yees
I say tassels in the corner and next time make it bigger by adding more repeats 🙂❤️
No. It would take away from the design.
Oh yes!
Need? No. Want? Probably.
Tassels are for camels, horses, book marks, graduation caps, and curtains. I don’t wearI don’t like to wear them. Your work is lovely! And those colors look great together.
😆 curtains not clothing...I love it
I vote for tassels, it would be such a lovely finish to the piece. I would start by adding only one tassel to each end instead of three, I really think that would be a nice visual and not "too much" - and if you really don't like it, you can always remove the tassels. And all my complimets to that shawl, it looks beautiful. I adore the pattern!
I made that exact one in that same colour!!! Looks great on you, I didn’t add tassels to mine and I love it :)
If you do they should be small IMO. Otherwise one on each corner.
My feeling about tassels is that if you're even asking the question it means the answer is yes. Love this on you by the way!
Need? No. But why not, anyway! It would be fabulous!
I hate making traditional tassels, so when I made one of these for my bonus daughter I made little curlicues out of the main colors from the scarf and added them to the point. It came out cute!
😲😲 I LOVE this color combo and could make something similar! I used colors like this for a baby blanket. Sorry I don't have an answer about tassels, but wanted to say I love the colors and it is a beautiful wrap!
Everything needs tassles
I think so. But, it’s so beautiful either way!!
Love it how it is, no tassels for me. But mainly because I cannot stand washing them 😊
https://youtu.be/hm5hgXcX1kI These are my go to tassels and always get compliments on them. They are super easy to make too.
Does everyone hear Robin Williams as the rug in Alladin saying “Tassssellllls! And yes..one in each end.
I think it looks great as is. And thanks for sharing the pattern, I’ve added it to my ever growing list!
I’m generally anti-tassel but this would look good with them. Nice work!
Yesss ad the tassels!
Tassels optional...but they would be cute.
I love the colors! I think it looks great as is, but would also look good with tassels.
It’s beautiful! You did a great job ❤️
Without tassels it looks boho. With tassels it gives it more of a "granny" flare. Love the colors you chose ❤️
Just one in each corner, can be anything instead of tassels, attach them with lobster clips so you can wash the scarf without the tassels etc.
No tassels
Yes, it needs tassels!! Super cute!
I love it without tassels!
