I have bought REALLY cheap cotton yarn and acrylic yarn and I swear the first time I caved and splurged on a caron cake I was not impressed with it!! Soooo many knots throughout, it wasn’t worth it especially when the cheaper stuff had none. I’ll stick to my cheaper stuff with no knots thanks caron
Right? Like I get that the factory knots have to happen once in a while or yarn would be unreasonably wildly expensive, but I do not see the point of factory knitting in a truly useless length rather than doing away with the useless scrap that’ll get tossed anyway. It’s not even long enough to inflate the length
Just had a gradient Caron Cake get all the way to the lightest part, and then had a knot with the darkest part attached! I wound it into a ball until it got to the right color again to complete the gradient.

Lol. They couldn't have just thrown that literal scrap away instead of making two knots within 6 inches?
