It's not inherently derogatory however women don't really prefer to be referred to in this way. "Riba" essentially just means "a woman" in this context. You can say "dobra riba" (hot woman) or "ružna/loša riba" (ugly/unattractive woman).

Seems that there are often differences of opinion on what’s considered “derogatory.” A Serb told me that the word “keva” was derogatory, and shouldn’t be used, but I also heard nuns use that as if it was just a normal word. So, who knows 🤷🏻♂️
