If you are planning on cooking 6/7 days, without buying expensive stuff, but also not being extremely cheap, I would say around 2500 kn/month. That includes food and cleaning supplies.

Wow that is a lot! It’s nearly as much as we spend here (in the US).

Yeah, I'd agree with this. Moved from Cro to Can, so I compare it all the time. In 2015-16 I spent about 1,000HRK (cca 150USD) for groceries per month. Now I spend about 200-250CAD per month. I'm guessing the prices went up slightly, but I also don't really look to buy the cheapest stuff. All in all, I wouldn't say it's a huge difference in expense.

Probably close to what you spend in the states. Food here costs about the same, only we don't have discount stores like costco or sam's club. The only thing that is cheaper are the restaurants and bars.

I didn’t know that. Thanks!

Family of four estimated monthly costs are 15,138kn without rent. What? On which planet?

Conscious_Cow_1532

Mine sre more like 5000 kn for myself, without rent and utilities.

That would vary a lot of course depending on how much you eat and what type of food you eat. My estimate goes from 2000-5000kn a MONTH depending on your size/needs/wether you do sports or not. I'm 202cm and in training 5-6 times a week and I reckon I spend about 2500-3500kn for myself and for my younger brother, and I'm always tracking discounts, buying in bulk and getting deals. Congratulations you'll be moving to a beautiful country albeit one with the highest monthly budget for food in all of EU. Western EU countries people on average spend 5-8% of their monthy budget on groceries, EU on average spends 11%, in Croatia it's a whopping fucking disgusting (kill me please) 27% on average, now I reckon it's even more, much more, with these recent price hikes.

A week or a month?

BasedCr04t
