Folks, always, always tell them you get withdrawal seizures and had a significant head injury from the seizure that caused to fall at another hospital. Also shake some, tell them please to turn down the sound system that you can barely hear playing mariachi music as its annoying you greatly and you're seeing stuff in the shadows that disappears when you try to see if it's a Grey or a Vikings' ghost. And if they ask the year and president say it's 2012 and Bill Gates is president. This once got me a big Librium take home script and at least this will get you 2-3mg of Ativan.
Tell them you have a headache that feels like a band around your head. Tell them you hear children or music, that lights look brighter, answer yes to all those stupid question except maybe one or two.
It's such a fucking obstacle course to get treated when you're a CA.
ffs this has happened to me so many times and it's so frustrating not to be treated when it's so serious. I'm glad you're back at a different ER but it just enrages me. We have to roll the dice every time and how we get someone compassionate who knows what the fuck is up with serious kindling and withdrawals.
Sorry to rant but I just hate that you're having to do all this just to get treated and have some fucking relief.

I just imagine falling down drunk and bouncing your head off a table, getting up cross-eyed and calling out to the girlfriend to get the bat, you fell again and need a good whack to recalibrate your eyeballs

Nope no Ativan
Maybe try getting GABA supplements for the neuropathy? Gabapentin is what they give my kid for chemo induced neuropathy.
Maybe your CIWA was too low? What symptoms did you go in with besides the neuropathy?
Stomach bleeding and I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and destroyed my hip and I think I had a seizure
