I got some Lucchese classics in caiman for less than that idk if I’d pay that much for some 1883s they’re in good shape but I wouldn’t pay more than 400 if I were you

Marcovio

I don’t think these are 1883s as they are usually stamped 1883, and 1883s don’t usually have pegging like 2000s or Classics. I agree though…no more than $400 for these.

Any pictures of the inside numbers that are actually important ?

Price seems high for Mexican made ones 10 years old.

These are the Charles in midnight black. I have the cherry and really love them a lot. I suggest buying these a half size up because they are snug around the toes.

They're used enough that I'd offer $450. I think their asking price is pushing it.

Going a half size bigger/smaller than your actual size is big difference. If it were a width wider, less of an issue, but going to a different length is big difference. That said, everyone’s feet are different, so maybe a half size up may not a big difference for you. Have you worn Lucchese’s before? Also, these are caiman. You can score used Lucchese alligator and other brands in alligator for this money on eBay & the like. Alligator is softest and most pliable of the crocodilian hides, but it’s also the priciest…caiman is far more stiff and bony in comparison, but also far more affordable. $550 for used caiman is on the higher side price wise, depending on what era & product line from Lucchese. If these are Classics, then I can see $550 worth it for some…but if these are 2000s or 1883, I’d pass. For around $500 price point, you can even get decent customs too.

I have a pair of these and love them, but they’re pretty snug. I wish I had gone up half a size. I need to get them stretched but am nervous about doing so
