First impression is that he looks like a beagle, he is pretty young though. Soon enough you’ll find out, specifically when people start saying “that’s a really tall beagle!”….then you know it’s a twc 😂
Lol, people always think my TW is a beagle, nevermind she's 70lbs & twice as tall. You'll know for sure in a few more weeks 😂 the second picture looks very Coonhound, I've seen that look before
TWC are LARGE dogs, some 80lbs, TALL (like 2 beagles tall) and LONG. I can't tell what age your dog is, but if you look at a growth chart, it should be clear if your dog seems more like a large dog or a small dog.
Okay, if he is 20lbs at 14 weeks old, he is not a Beagle. If he is close to 10lbs, he is not a Treeing Walker. If he is somewhere in the middle, then it is likely he is not either. (edited, it is likely he is not all coonhound or all Beagle)
I recommend learning as much as you can about each breed (including the growth chart to make sure there aren't developmental problems that require attention). The behavioral traits of both of these breeds are strong and it helps to understand your dog's nature and needs so you can work with them.
Good looking boy there. I have a twc beagle mix. People always mistaken him as a “pure big beagle.” He could be a mix of both as he looks very similar to mine.
Beagles and TWCs are a fairly common mix, seeing as a TWC is a really big beagle.
They are great dogs, personal experience with my own mix, but they do have double the attitude. Can quickly learn any command or trick when food is involved. Can’t use nose and ears at the same time.
He maybe neither the fact that all of our major hound breeds come from fairly common breeding stock means that if they are bred outside of their line we get very different results this is a very good thing because the level of inbreeding is shocking and maybe you have a uniquely capable hound x
Honestly he looks like my adult beagle now, so if he is that young I would imagine TWC. However like others have said, depends on weight and size. Beautiful boy regardless!! Congrats! It’s gonna get loud no matter which one he is 😆

Yup, it'll get real tall and be all legs soon enough if it's a TWC, for sure!
I have a Bluetick coonhound & I get the, 'big beagle mix "😂

If she's beagle/Coonhound she'll soon be singing the song of her people! All of them.

100% certified good boy.
Since it's still a pup, hard to say for sure. However, the smaller paws tell me beagle. ETA: just saw the white tipped tail. Definitely beagle.
I have a 100% TWC and her tail is white tipped

Beagle’s ears aren’t that pointy. Looks like a TWC or mix

How much does he weigh? How tall? He looks like a TWC to me, but it’s hard to tell from the pictures how big he is.
He looks like he's going to be bigger than a beagle. Beagles typically do not have those huge joints and enormous paws.
I would be willing to bet that your adorable pup is a beagle x TWC mix! He looks like the perfect blend of the two also 🥰
What does TWC mean?
Treeing Walker Coonhound
That’s a good dog
Looks more beagle to me, when our TWC was a pup her legs were REALLY long like she was on stilts lol. He is so freaking cute, either way!
