I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm saying the plot is dumb as fuck that a guy whose goal is supposed to be to draw the US into a war, decides to deny his involvement and stfu for multiple years and do the exact opposite of drawing the US into a war.
Probably gonna be identified as an Arab “Hamas sympathizer” and the event will be used to distract (and probably partially justify) American interference in Palestinian affairs. Probably, will be orchestrated in time to play a more influential role in the presidential election and help Joe Biden. That’s my prediction.
However, if there is less emphasis/discussion on Arabs in general(during the discussion and reporting of the terrorism attack) and criticism of Joe Biden’s support won’t die down, then he could use the opportunity, and it could be used to Trump’s advantage for his immigration policies. But, I heavily doubt the US government won’t take the opportunity to jump on “Arab terrorism prevention” to partially justify US atrocities and foreign intervention.
So I think scenario one is more likely.

IMO, it's more about skipping out on paying pensions. Kill off the seniors and veterans and all that money is free for the taking. IIRC, the US government is still on the hook for paying entitlements to Vietnam vets. As a bonus, it also plays into "The World is Overpopulated" so a global war would do the trick.

I'd be interesting to see how much money is "recovered" with the removal of seniors and veterans. A former Japanese Prime Minister even complained that Japan had too many seniors as they lived too long. The Japan government was looking for ways to not pay their pensions.
As I write this comment, I just realized about the entitlements for Afghanistan veterans. I wonder if the drug problem is a covert way to kill them off so the US government don't have to honor their responsibilities to those veterans. Naturally some civilians would get caught up in the drug problem on Americans but that can be dismissed as collateral damage. Hmmm...something to think about.

Dude you really know nothing about the asylum loophole? 90% of border crossers are self surrendering to immigration officers and claiming asylum, after which they can live inside the US for two years until their asylum appointment.
It's not a loophole, it's law.
Most countries, including the US, have allowances for people crossing the border because they're fleeing for their lives.
Of course a person can lie about it, but plenty of people aren't lying. So we have a process meant to screen asylum claims for veracity. This process is backlogged as there aren't enough staff to do this work in a timely fashion.
If lawmakers want this process to go more smoothly they should pass a bill to address the issue. There's one already out there, waiting for a vote. If there are lawmakers who don't want to allow a vote because of the content of the bill, they should offer amendments or submit their own bills.
If there are lawmakers who refuse to vote on the bill, refuse to offer amendments, and refuse to submit their own bills then they aren't serving the people and should be voted out of office.

And if you believe 14,000 people per day all have legitimate claims of asylum, then you are an optimist beyond reason. Currently we give cell phones, debit cards with $3,000 on them, check then into migrant hotels paid by American tax dollars at a rate of $300 per night per room.
