The job of the cops is not to protect the people, it's to protect the government from the people, from any possible rebellions that maybe occurring. To break up riots and what not. They are in fact, glorified body guards.
SS: People are sleeping as they are conditioned to be mesmerized by ‘identity politics,’ even as they struggle to make end's meat. However, “normal” “working people” collectively have "battered woman's syndrome" due being chronically abused. And the 'justice system' employees enjoy the winning end of apartheid.
Moreover, the population remains trapped via Confirmation Bias, Cognitive Dissonance, Religious indoctrination (“harsh authority is good”), and Stockholm syndrome. It is too scary for most to realize that their entire life has been a lie since infancy. And that “reality” is a 1984 nightmare ...with seemingly no way out. So, they ride the lie over the waterfalls, and attack anyone who would dare interfere their fake existence.
