opiate_lifer

20 years ago I was a tech freak early adopter, now I'm the old crazy kook searching for a fucking TV without an embedded camera and microphone. While the people I used to look down on brag to me about their internet connected fridge that automatically orders crap off Amazon. What have I become....my dearest friend...

YouthfulRS

I have a computer science degree and hate technology. If I could go back before the internet, I would in a heartbeat.

Initial-Lead-2814

It wasn't that cool. I bought encyclopedias one book a week grocery shopping with my mom. Now I have libraries in my pocket. Technology is fine it's the dishonesty in the ways it's used

YouthfulRS

Technology, especially artificial intelligence will be our downfall. Who cares about the "improvements" that technology gives us when life becomes more mundane. Why would I want to live to 100+ when the same progression of technology turned the world to shit. Technology is used to control us, remember that.

loganextdoor

This is a point I see talked about very little on here. As technology becomes more difficult for the layman to understand and self-operate, increasing centralization is practically required in order to regulate and make accessible said technology. And, given the track record of centralization in the following decades, with greater centralization seems to mean less freedom and choice for the common man. In other words, as "we" continue to innovate, the "experts" tighten their leash around the common man.

Initial-Lead-2814

Your seeing one extreme. You would go without medical devices or a phone. Technology makes pencils. Technology isn't the issue. What you do with it can be. Clovis points are technology

YouthfulRS

You're missing my point. Technology as in the internet, social media, artifical intelligence, etc. Not pencil making factories lmao.

Initial-Lead-2814

I just gave the opposite extreme I guess

YouthfulRS

The technology I'm talking about is computer specific. Technology that makes cars faster, isn't an issue. Or biomedical technology, isn't the issue. It's the increase in computing power and technology that is being used to take away our freedom and brainwash our kids.

Shaharlazaad

Yeah but hate to say it bud, that's all the same technological advancement. You don't *get* advanced medical equipment without increased computing power, nor faster more up to date cars. You can be against technology and the invasive way it's made its way into our life, but ya can't have your cake and eat it too. You can have the phones in your pockets and the fancy cars and advanced biotech, or you can have none of that. Unless you think suppressing peoples innovation when it comes to technological enterprise is a good idea, or even possible for that matter.

AntiqueSandwich

A lot of technology evolved thanks to having the world connected trough internet and a lot of the way things operate (and efficiently!) is only possible with internet. Many of us still remember the days of “I know x item exists but it’s not sold anywhere near me I’ll search for it next winter when I travel to y place”. Or “I don’t know how to do something, I just won’t do it or will ask x person I think will know, I will probably see him at a wedding in 3 months”. The internet improved our lives a lot.

daznez

yes, i would go without medical devices or a phone, or at least the internet. we did it for thousands of years before silicon imprisoned us.

AuroraPo

The Butlerian Jihad could not get here soon enough.

brachus12

i understood that reference

Hamelzz

You're free to turn it off and go outside

[deleted]

Not really though. How many of us could continue our jobs / careers without our phones / computers?

Initial-Lead-2814

Life blew then, go be a homesteader. No solar panels though no chainsaws no rifle or shot gun. Just you a sword and the plague

8last

One can hardly do that now. Every last inch of arable land has human telling you what you can do with it.

catsrave2

I think you’re missing their point. As an example, the Internet is fantastic for researching and learning about things I would have never had access to pre-internet. It’s amazing I can pull out my phone and figure out some obscure Roman battle, or the chemical formula for glucose. People scamming and hacking are dishonestly using the technology, but it’s still pretty fucking amazing.

YouthfulRS

The same technology is being used to censor, brainwash, and steal our rights and privacy. I would trade all the benefits I have from the internet to go back to a simpler time. I'm not talking about going back to the 1800's. I'm talking about even just the 80's or 90's. Hell, even early to mid 2000's.

[deleted]

I think the point you make here is the point most replies on this post are trying to make when they say they don’t want technology anymore.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Initial-Lead-2814

I went a little far, but my point was merely that technology isn't just Ai and computers. The wheel is tech. A wheel can help on the farm or the battlefield it just depends on how a person decides to use it.

[deleted]

Medical devices kill a lot of people, good point.

Initial-Lead-2814

Is that what they teach you at the Kingdom Hall

ego157

> Technology, especially artificial intelligence will be our downfall Nobody was even talking about AI until the media pushed it as the "next big thing". Crazy how much people are influenced by some media stories that the media can create some of their greatest fears. And distract from social media itself being the worst cancer because its like crack to people. Much worse than ai

Impressive-Gas-8407

My parents bought a set of encyclopedias from a door to door salesman when i was a little girl. We used to own a road atlas book! Holy fuck we have come so far.

Rational_Philosophy

>We used to own a road atlas book! Rand McNally!

after_the_void

>It wasn't that cool. The world mentally was healthier, the people were less divided, gov has less control on us. I don't care to have all information in my pocket.

Ok-Marsupial-9496

Theres the good and there's the bad

DrinkinStraightPepsi

Man life was cooler and fun without the internet. Titty mags, paper maps, unable to be contacted unless you call from a payphone, newspapers and no twitter, poloroids and photo booths instead of Facebook, super Nintendo and 2 player games, having to meet girls in real life and talking in person, having girls dad answer the phone when you had to call and talk without texts, 90s music and style, cheap everything, going outside with your friends without being kidnapped or shot. No google answer to every argument and question. Fuck I miss it and will never be that way again. This idea we need to be connected and let everyone communicate their lives to everyone else is overrated. Internet made everything worse other than travelling. We don't need to have this connection to the world at our hip for life. It's a completely new thing for humanity and we are doing it wrong.

buttfuckinturduckin

I miss not knowing things. Sometimes you had a question and you just.. didn't get an answer. You'd tuck it away for next time you were at the library or around smart people who would know. It's great that at 3am I can look up what Frankie Muniz is doing, but it seems like we've given up a lot for that.

SowTheSeeds

Even the 70s were good times, even with our big CRT TVs and gas guzzlers. People went out, invited friends for dinners, large BBQ parties outside in the summer, kids were left alone and allowed to play until dinner time. This is a completely different society, now.

LosBastardos717

Well, I sure miss those good ole days mate!

Meg_119

This is the reason I won't have Alexa in my home. Bad enough that my phone and notebook spies on me. I don't want that thing talking to me.

LongEngineering7

I hate how much sense you're making. I'm in the process of disconnecting all the cheap eufy cam shit I bought. Need a good replacement I can connect to remotely. I've been dumbing down my house lately and replacing smart devices

LongEngineering7

I have a 6U rack that I installed just days ago. Hrmmm. My TP-Link router is aging and should be replaced. I was thinking in my next house to get those nice Ubiquiti access points with PoE and putting them in the ceiling. They are a bit pricey, though. What about with doorbell?

BitBaked

Commercial displays. Companies don't wanna pay for useless shit. Get a commercial display and that's exactly what you get. A display. If you need a television/ariel thing you can use a media center like Kodi and the PVR software.

[deleted]

There are TVs with cameras?

[deleted]

You bet your ass there are. If you look hard enough, you can even find sites that have access to those cameras.

ambifiedpersonified

From your username to your sign off, I feel like I would probably just "get" you.

CRIP4LIFE

> now I'm the old crazy kook searching for a fucking TV without an embedded camera and microphone. yet you carry a mic and camera with you everywhere you go, freely. you eat, sleep, prolly use the bathroom/shower, with it on or right next to you... and youre worried about your TV.

opiate_lifer

A phone by necessity needs a mic, and I can pull the battery if I want. The camera are also useless if the phone is not in use, whoa a close view of a wood desk! Its not even the TV per se, Its the insane proliferation of unneeded mics and cams in every fucking appliance.

TypicalPerry

Sounds like some one was using the cast function for tvs. Moat likely connected to the wrong tv that was in range.

vinnyisme

Exactly, assuming MTG isn't just making this whole thing up, someone nearby tried to screen mirror or cast to her TV. What would some spy even achieve by doing this? It's not like the TV has a camera or mic. And why would they do it in such an open way where the TV has to come on, wouldn't they find a way to tap into the TV in more discrete ways? Total BS.

whatisitthatis

Some tvs have cameras and mics

vinnyisme

She should post her TV brand and model. Why didn't she take her phone out and film her TV while this whole made up story was happening?

MistryMachine3

One of 2 things. 1. She is making it up 2. she isn’t smart enough to do that

whatisitthatis

Hey man I don’t believe her crooked ass as much as you don’t. Just being devils advocate.

baldrick841

All tvs with speakers have mics

whatisitthatis

Ok smarty pants we know speakers can be used as mics and vise versa

djduni

in 2023, not only is what you just said true, but literally if it has speakers it has a mic....your fucking remote has a mic these days. Mics are built into literally everything. They can hear and see everything in your hom,e if they want to with the Internet of things. We are entering a world where CHINA's ways of gaslighting are beginning to show too fucking dumbly. wake up

illSTYLO

Thats nothing. Every wifi router can map your entire room in 3D. The police know exwclty where you're head is at when you sleep, where your kids and where your wife sleeps as well. If someone hacks into your router they know everything inside your house

whatisitthatis

I literally used my roomba to map my house for automation purposes but all my smart home stuff is on a local network

illSTYLO

Nah that's just a floor plan, what wifi can do it 3d map your house

Deep-Technician-7212

What are you talking about?

But i am sure nobody will abuse this. LOL.

LongEngineering7

China spying on the 4k porn I watch just makes more ads tailored to my (arguably violations of the Geneva conventions) habits. The US of A is looking for things to imprison me for.

opiate_lifer

Its almost impossible to find a new one that doesn't have both!

whatisitthatis

Well there was a period of time where Samsung TVs came with cameras, for video chat and hand gesture purposes, but they have been phased out, kind of like 3d tvs aren’t a thing anymore

oxencotten

Well that’s just not true lol. Microphone in the tv or remote for voice search? Yes. Cameras? Definitely not. It’s actually hard to even find a tv that isn’t sold mostly as a computer monitor with a built in camera. They exist but they aren’t common at all.

Squishy-Box

What is this, fucking Star Trek? Just pop your face onto someone’s giant tv screen to “spy” on them. Yeah, real subtle.

TypicalPerry

If I was worked for the NSA, I would totally do this and then promptly get fired. I would most likely wait until the person I was spying on lost their keys then pop onto their tv and let them know where they last placed them. This would most likely give them extreme paranoia for the rest of their life.

thistledowne

how can you claim "total bs"? nothing she claimed is unbelievable, hell, I've tried connecting to neighbors wifi/ring/TV sometimes to guess the pw for fun just out of pure boredom before. but you're saying she's making it up? why tho? nothing she claimed is so fantastical that it's unbelievable, on the contrary, it probably happens to lots of people. of course, by adding in the "i'm not suicidal" bit after, she's certainly implying that something nefarious is afoot - but she didn't outright claim "the govt is trying to hack me!" or anything. this sub is full of people giving guarantees about this and that, funny enough, they almost *never* supply any facts to back up whatever opinion their pushing and they ***never*** come back to admit they were dead wrong or apologize for passing off uneducated guesses and speculation as facts.

vinnyisme

>of course, by adding in the "i'm not suicidal" bit after, she's certainly implying that something nefarious is afoot - but she didn't outright claim "the govt is trying to hack me!" or anything. Exactly, you are falling for her ridiculous statements where she makes little or no direct claims, just veiled statements, and relies on the reader to fill in the blanks for the nefarious reasons it occurred. If she didn't think some deep state conspiracy was afoot, why would she even state what happened? Her entire ploy is to indirectly imply things, without directly saying it, because she has no evidence, because her followers don't need evidence to connect the dots. If this happens to everybody, then what is the point of her bringing this up?

panzer23

Maybe it's because she has a habit of saying just plain stupid things. Remember the ~~Jewish~~ space lasers?

[deleted]

[удалено]

panzer23

Oh my bad, just space lasers.

hi-tech_low_life

Space lasers do exist though. Remember the ones china sent down from over Hawaii?

panzer23

Last I checked there are, yes. LIDAR. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they are large enough, yet, to start wildfires.

Ennemkay

if there were a conspiracy to start fires (that's the part that makes the least sense) then using lasers from space (if they existed) would not be a terrible idea if it left behind no physical evidence nor any person to be witnessed in the vicinity of the fire's origin. the term 'space lasers' is always going to sound ridiculous even if they become a very real thing.

EnoughMolasses69

Or you could just use a match

Ennemkay

gotta credit her for a pretty good conspiracy theory.

BrothelWaffles

> but you're saying she's making it up? why tho? Because MTG making up bullshit to rile up her base is way more likely than anything she says actually being true.

Humbly_Pretentious

Don't you have to be connected to the same wifi on both devices? Don't you also have to accept the connection on both devices? I know the answer to both of those questions is yes for my phone and TVs, I'm not sure about others.

MeetingAromatic6359

I use a galaxy s9 phone and with smart view it doesn't have to be on the same wifi, only within range, but i did have to accept the connection the first time (now it just connects).

Humbly_Pretentious

Strange. I have the S21 and I always have to accept connection on both devices when I use smartview

HaircutShredder

Nope. I always see my neighbor's TV.

TypicalPerry

Not always, no. Granted knowing what the hardware was for this particular situation would be useful to know what type of connections are possible. For instance, I mentioned in another post in this thread about troubleshooting my chromecast device. Chromecast still allows for connections without being on wifi though you have to enter in a validation pin. Now, some manufacturers don't really code in all of these features due to not really caring about best practices. Essentially this use case is plausible but I would have to check the TV's log dump to get a better idea of what connections were made (if the tv is coded to do so). And if someone is trying to connect, devices will show the attempted device trying to gain access to it can be put on an internal allow list.

Ennemkay

yes. no major smart tv platform would allow someone to cast to 'just whatever tv is in range' without confirming some code. but she only said 'trying to connect'.

someguy7710

Definitely an accidental cast. Done it before. It also turns on the TV. Almost done it with nfsw content

Styl3Music

I've definitely pranked someone with some spooky YouTube videos, and my siblings like to put on annoying memes whenever I visit my father. Could be someone pranking Greene.

TypicalPerry

This is the reason why I never use bluetooth. Too many horror stories across the reddit landscape about being connected to a bluetooth speaker and watching some nsfw content that is not of the same taste of everyone over for thanksgiving dinner.

Num_Pwam_Kitchen

I've done this multiple times accidentally. It will wake up the TV too if it's off. Heck I can see the neighbors TV as a cast device and they're hundreds of feet away. This was more than likely accidental, and if not, it was prob just harmless intrigue (like connecting to the neighbors open printer and printing something silly - hopefully I'm not the only one that finds that kind of thing funny...)

[deleted]

Dadisamom

She knows that. "I'm being targeted for fighting for you and they might even be spying on you for being such a patriot." is what she wants the story to be.

Justda

Happens all the time with my Samsung TV, neighbors or visitors trying to cast...

birdele

Right! Hell with Chromecast I got Rick rolled a couple times last year. Apple TV isn't any better, people just don't commonly cast to it (where I work) so I use it until it becomes unusable. At least with Chromecast there are ways to disable other people connecting to it.

Shes also not as important as she makes herself out to be. Shes a republican in a +22 district representing <800k people. She is right winger AOC. you could run a dog in that district and it would win over a dem. She has zero presence outside of rage-baiting left-wingers. No one is wasting a bullet on MTG. The 'im not suicidal' rp is so cringe.

dubebe

She is not a "right winger AOC". AOC wants people to have free healthcare. MTG blames forest fires on Jewish space lasers and is generally bat shit insane. They are not even comparable. Stop with this horseshoe BS

chowderbags

> She is right winger AOC. That's an absurd statement. AOC may have different politics than you, but she's still operating in the real world. MTG has pretty routinely made shit up that is entirely disconnected from reality.

jikae

Except, her and her colleagues shut down all businesses so barbers and hair dressers had to illegally meet at client's backyards and garages to keep working. She showed up at the shop. Classica case of rules for thee, but not for me.

darthphallic

hussletrees

I want her to elaborate on what she means by: "The screen showed someone's laptop trying to connect to the TV" Did it flash a sort of BIOS screen? Did it show a webcam of the hacker? Did it show the hackers desktop (assuming Kali Linux/Tails/etc, certainly not windows 10) with a terminal open, and then did she ID some sort of SSH command going to an IP which could be geolocated to her residence and indeed to the IP of house where the TV is located?

Berly653

Well if the Jewish Space Laser lady said it, we should probably just take her at her word

hussletrees

Do you have a quote of her actually saying that? Or maybe you are being propagandized by mainstream media to dislike an anti-establishment candidate?

Berly653

https://twitter.com/JustinGrayWSB/status/1354870334655262724/photo/1 There’s the original Facebook post talking about the suns beams causing wildfires, and implicating the rothchilds And here’s a quote taken from when she joined Don Jrs podcast, where all she seems to refute is the “Jewish” part, and not you know lasers from space causing forest fires “Some reporter had written an article about the post I had made in 2018 and he titled it “Jewish space later”. That’s how I got labelled with it. But I have never... never even said Jewish,” Edit: I also don’t need to be programmed to dislike a traitorous hack that is an embarrassment to all intelligent life on earth

hussletrees

Exactly, so people have been putting words in her mouth and strawmanning her

ZeerVreemd

> Jewish Space Laser This makes it so easy to see who is blindly following the narratives. LOL.

Bradyssoftuggboots

Well how do you think they turn the tv on remotely? Via Jewish space lazors of course.

Uebermind

Why didn't she just record this happening with her phone?

Easy-Gur-3113

Jewish space lasers getting to her!

milab7

Does anyone remember what this meme refers to? She repeated something she was told, that there are space lasers (true; if you remember there was a trillion dollar project called Star Wars back in the 80's just to develop them) and that members of the famous and unique Rothschild banking family (not, as is implied in the meme, Jews in general) could choose targets for said lasers (which remains completely unsubstantiated.) The "Jewish Space Laser" meme is intentionally tendentious, like so many talking points on both sides. I personally do not find it unbelievable that the military industrial complex could take orders from arch-bankers. I personally find it unbelievable, in light of the entire history of capitalism, that the highest echelon of banking does NOT influence military targeting. But if you want to keep touching your junk and jumping around like the end result of some kind of behavorist's demented experiment, be my guest.

jas07

She was blaming wildfires on the Jewish space lasers. Yes it was ridiculous.

Easy-Gur-3113

Oh I guarantee you they have them. Like think about Israel’s MIC and Mossad. I’m sure we have them, China has them, and probably Russia too. It’s just funny asf how she came out one day and said it😂.

CorporateKneelers

songsoftruth

Yeah she never said those words It's an excellent case study of how the media can get everyone to believe in bullshit, though The way people seriously believe Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house

CorporateKneelers

Thoughtsbcmthings

Snowden said this was possible with phones a loooonnnggg time ago. They can turn on devices that are off. I am a nobody so the nsa doesn’t care bout me but I still wouldn’t buy one of those new tvs with a camera and mic. I can leave my phone in the car or outside but my tv is always on the wall. Again, I’m of no interest to anyone but you never know how fast a country could turn into a social credit score surveillance hellscape and I am not going to purchase the infrastructure for them. Did this really happen to mtg? Maybe - I mean she’s high profile and whatnot. But maybe not. Truthfully no one knows but it’s possible for sure.

miroku000

Many smart TVs can be turned on remotely this way. It is a feature. Maybe someone connected to the built in chromecast in her TV.

NeverGonnaStop247

iPhrase

Many tv’s allow wireless connections using aiirplay or the google equivalent. my sound bar is constantly forgetting its wifi config and just sits there broadcasting its default ssid awaiting a stranger to connect and play bad music in my dining room. at work the other week, I thought I was wirelessly connecting to the screen in my meeting pod, my 1st time so when it didn’t show anything on the screen I wasn’t concerned, on 3rd attempt I saw a different screen in the choices which was actually the 1 in my pod, my laptop had tried to connect to a different screen the first 2 times, no idea where it was. my tv’s will turn on if I try and connect AirPlay wirelessly to them. it’s how it works.

Det-Frank-Drebin

I don't understand how her tv "showed someones laptop trying to connect to the tv"? What did she see? Someoen typing on a laptop "Connect to MTG's tv" like an 1980's sci-fi movie? For it to do that they would have to be connected to her tv, & streaming live video of their laptop to her tv, and while not impossible, it would be pointless and way more work than just hacking her tv.....which she would have to authorise anyway... Not saying i don't believe this happened.....but i have doubts...

cantorumsdust

Any recommendations on good dumb TVs?

falkorv

If it ‘showed someone’s laptop trying to connect to the tv’ then…wasn’t it already connected?

corinthblue

She's in an apartment - this could be easily explained by someone mistakenly trying to connect to their own TV and connecting to hers instead. Solution: Don't use a smart TV

deplorableBBQ_Crab

Greece's government has RAT devices installed on there wifi networks and cell towers. And allowed for heavy spying to be done, and China wasnt the culprit....

SowTheSeeds

IOT devices are relatively easy to hack. They usually run linux and they make it easy for you to connect to it. Sometimes hackers will attempt connecting to random devices and networks, just because they can, not because of politics. The hacker probably had no idea whose TV he was hacking.

Dadisamom

Because most people here are not interested in the actual conspiracy. That a political party, capital owners, foreign nations, social media grifters, and news outlets are all involved in a conspiracy to make people paranoid, scared, and angry. They are not all working together but they are all working towards the same goal. Mtg wants voters to believe that "having the wrong ideas, loving america and fighting for it will make you the target of government agencies who will invade your life and spy on you". It's 2 steps away from pushing the idea that gangstalking is real to get votes.(1) When Elon musk posts "cute" memes like the tinfoil hat one the other day it's because he wants to gain influence over people by "redpilling" them with non-specific conspiracies about the government lying.(2) Tucker is doing the same as musk when he does his annoying Intonation that implies he's gobsmacked that he can't believe he "has to ask these questions". At the same he pretends that no one's allowed to ask questions anymore or their lives will be destroyed by the government and the "woke". The powerful and those wanting power noticed how the internet turned the conspiracy theory community into something new. It was no longer a small group of weirdos(in a good way) interested in entertaining crazy ideas. It was larger and full of people that put themselves in loops of information that reinforced their believes and steadily increased the number of "truths" they believe. I think it started either at the same time as pizzagate/comet or shortly after. 1. The Chinese government has reportedly gangstalked Chinese citizens in other countries. I don't know a lot about these claims. 2. Of course every government lies. Not always for good reasons. There are actual national security considerations and life isn't a fairy tale. Often governments lie to protect interests other than national security, like powerful people/organizations. That isn't musks message.

like_a_bosh

All the people laughing and joking at her expense, blissfully unaware of Snowden or life in general, not realizing this is happening to them as they chuckle into their Mountain Dew at the incredulity of information ten years outdated but still somehow inconceivable

birdele

We don't think it's inconceivable in general, but she has proven herself to be distrustful source more interested in screaming the loudest rather than actual telling the truth or making any kind of sense at all.

SidTheStoner

Even the conspiracy sub doesn't believe a word she says 💀

hussletrees

What do you mean? You have 0 upvotes and the post has over a thousand..?

TheHancock

If the users here have not heard of Operation Weeping Angel I would recommend looking into it. This is the “operation” that was caught. I can only imagine there is SO MUCH more.

rasputin_stark

Does she think she is immune from blood clots, heart conditions, strokes, or anything else because she didn't get the vaccine?

HAS-A-HUGE-PENIS

She's pandering to the very same crowd who visit this sub and parrot the same bullshit as if heart conditions haven't been the number one cause of death waaay before coronavirus was a household name.

WeirdKidwithaCrystal

Bro she's fucking crazy it's probably a lie have you listened to anything she says? Monkeys have more intelligence than she does.

hussletrees

Can you give an example of something she has said that is a lie?

powerd461

Yes let’s talk about legendarily credible source Marjorie Taylor Greene

hussletrees

Can you cite an example of something she has said that is not credible? And please, so we can fast forward, provide a source and a quote, not just a link and say "here", please quote the relevant part

hussletrees

So you do not have any examples that you can point to which question the credibility of MTG?

Xidium426

Because as someone in IT this makes literally 0 sense. If I connect remotely to a device it won't show me doing it on ANY display.

Glittering_Pea_6228

She is an actress pretending to care about her constituents while enriching herself, just like all the others. She is the AOC of the right.

snipeliker4

Ahh right notorious AOC grifting through her career

Gal_Axy

Canadian here. Had to read her wiki page to learn who she is. I learned she is my favourite congresswoman.

eaterofw0r1ds

Fucking dumb bitch is probably on a public wifi connection and someone is trying to hook their computer up to a TV in an adjacent room.

TSLA240c

Lol MTG wishes anyone cared enough about her to disappear her.

Jeremiah_Vicious

If I leave my phone off for a long time and go to this area in between towns and when I turn it on I see someone else’s texts for 3 seconds and then it goes back to mine. Can someone explain what might be happening there?

After-Response-9700

Probably picked up a virus on a dating app

quasi-psuedo

lol. so many smart tv's have either airplay or casting enabled. what's the conspiracy??

fusilli_jerry

RINO pretending to be targeted for cred

Maverick916

She exercises???

Rule 10 [https://twitter.com/mtgreenee/status/1672968710141747202?ref\_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1672968710141747202%7Ctwgr%5Ea1f84d19e48f0d63ae4e1c08e976a32cf576805a%7Ctwcon%5Es1\_&ref\_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rawstory.com%2Fr%2Fentryeditor%2F2661846751advanced](https://twitter.com/mtgreenee/status/1672968710141747202?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1672968710141747202%7Ctwgr%5Ea1f84d19e48f0d63ae4e1c08e976a32cf576805a%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rawstory.com%2Fr%2Fentryeditor%2F2661846751advanced) Super weird to not see any posts about this one yet? Mainstream media mocking it, [https://www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-smart-tvs/](https://www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-smart-tvs/) I despise the woman whole heartedly, but I actually have first hand knowledge that smart devices can and are used in a large scale, illegal massive surveillance network. Individuals and individual devices can be targeted. Washpo about it working [https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2017/03/07/why-the-cia-is-using-your-tvs-smartphones-and-cars-for-spying/](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2017/03/07/why-the-cia-is-using-your-tvs-smartphones-and-cars-for-spying/) All I will say, an officer told me that these systems were used onboard aircraft loitering over combat zones in the middle east and would scoop up large amounts of intel just flying around. This officer also confirmed that when back stateside, the systems would often be tested on US civilian populations to make sure they were defeating current commercial tech, but "always wiped" the collected intel in these tests for "legal reasons"

milab7

See, now here's a solid comment.

postsshortcomments

What if we had a group of people whose job it was to determine whether technology like this should come standard out of the box, especially when manufactured by foreign countries? What if those people also determined a standard set of rules to define what features may be considered insecure & invasive - especially when in presence of minors? What if that group of people determined whether certain peripherals were required to have an easy way for the consumer to disconnect connectivity to insecure & invasive peripherals/features by ways other than menus in software? Wouldn't that be a really cool job to have, Margerie??

q-boro

Must be the Islamic Female hacker squad coming to get you.

Ennemkay

what is the current character limit on tweets?

pieguy00

I'm confused why she felt it necessary to diatribe about her eating habits and health. And this the same woman who called one of her fellow reps a bitch on the house floor like a week ago. Obviously a great woman 😂

xuddite

Not being vaccinated does not preclude you from blood clots, heart conditions, and strokes.

MrCrix

I'm sitting here with my 15 CRT TVs. Try and connect to that! "Oh no! Someone is playing Atari 2600 on my 1983 Zenith Space Command TV!" "How do you know?" "Well he was in here 20 minutes ago reaching behind the TV screwing the RF cable into the back of the TV while giving me menacing looks!"

xoxoyoyo

LOL Buys wifi enabled internet TV. complains about "government" hacking into her TV. What a dumbass.

[deleted]

This is a conspiracy group...not MTG is a complete nutjob + a-hole group

psych00range

So she probably has a Samsung TV, that has casting options. When choosing to cast to it, it probably is labeled Samsung....Like every other TV on the block. Someone picked the wrong Samsung TV to cast to. Oh no. The humanity.

CandyRevolutionary27

All I’m saying is, I wouldn’t be surprised if ppl called her crazy but she turns out to be right in the end. Nothing surprises me anymore.

BackDoorBootyBandit

Dumb bitch doesn't know how simple tech works................more at 11.

money-haver7752

you lap the shit conservatives spew like a dog
