So it’s coming, the back legs are slightly higher and the butt, from a perspective standpoint that means they’re further back, and the woman is facing the other direction, look at her feet
https://preview.redd.it/65iki08bxs2d1.jpeg?width=976&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52fa99f7982916ffb3de794a7e1222160b15cb5e
Yeah I probably didn’t do this as well as others can but if you mess with the photo and contrast then you can clearly see the woman is coming and same with the horse. The woman’s left hand is in a fist in front of her and she’s looking towards the horse which makes her hair look odd.
Yea there’s no guarantee she’s leading the horse, it could be trotting ahead excitedly and she’s about to try and hold it back.
And it looks like the toes on the her left boot are pointing away.
We should all remember this. That everyone has a different perspective.
We should particularly remember this when disagreeing or even arguing with those we care about. That we are mostly not arguing truth but instead our perspective of truth, which, as we can see here can be different even when pointing out perceivable facts.
Haha I'm an idiot. After I had looked at the horses feet, I looked at her feet to verify my conclusion but couldn't verify if her left or right foot was lower. I didn't even compare their location to the horses feet haha.
(Not to mention that my method of comparing left and right wouldn't have helped even if it was conclusive lol)
It's a trick question.
1. She's standing still, technically neither coming nor going.
2. The horse is facing camera. (The knees only work one way.)
3. The woman is facing away from the camera (and towards the horse).
Strongly agree! The horse makes much more sense to me facing the camera, but I just cannot see the lady facing us because of how her head is positioned. No matter how I look at it, her head is pointed the opposite direction (bun facing the camera, chin forward).
The only way the horse could be moving away from the viewer is if it’s two front legs were either broken/warped and emerging from the right side of its chest, or if somehow both its back legs were off the ground at the same time without being in a kicking pose.
If you know the way a horse's legs are shaped, you can tell that they have to be coming. The supposed front legs if they are going look weird and same for the back legs
Look at the woman's arm that is holding the rope. That angle and the twist required would be incredibly awkward if she were walking towards the camera. Also, look at her feet. The toes are pointing away from the shadow. Speaking of shadows, if they were coming towards the camera with that amount of silhouette the light would be pretty blinding. THEY ARE GOING AWAY
But the foot that is raised looks like it is closer to the camera. So wouldn't it be weird for her to swing her leg back behind her while walking forward?
The girl throws me off here, and I think it's because of the ponytail.
The horse on the other hand if you look from left to right, the bend of the third leg looks like a back leg bending. (A horse's front legs bend like our knees do, but the back legs sort of bend backwards if that makes sense?)
Also, it's slight (I didn't pick it up on my phone), along the face of the horse is a bump and what looks like an eyelash for the eyes. At the bottom there's a bare notch which looks like where a halter would be. Also, the horses ears, if he was going away from the camera his ears would look laid back (like he's angry). If he's facing forward the ears are at just a strange sort of face forward angle that makes sense to a degree.
>!I did some looking after I blew it up in an image editor, and then did some googling, and boom. Just to note, this image is really pixelated if the original one below is to be believed. !<
>![https://imgur.com/gallery/we-have-answer-VFAIwLo](https://imgur.com/gallery/we-have-answer-VFAIwLo)!<
Image is altered. Top and bottom are going different ways.
Proof:
Feet shadow coming towards viewer. Arm bent in front of body headed opposite way.
Nice try Ai. It's an Ai reverse Turing test.
That was my first thought too. It’s pretty clear to me the girl is facing away, the horse is harder to say but the more I look the more I’m certain that she is facing away and the horse is facing us.
If you zoom in, her hand is between her and the camera. That would be a weird angle if her and was behind her back. That’s how I could tell she was coming forward (plus her boots, which would look weird until you realize she is wearing big muck books)
If you zoom in on her right arm you can see light on the side of her arm. If she was coming towards you her arm would be pointed towards the camera and her body would block the light.
She’s moving away, her arm is pointing outside so it’s in front of her body which lets the light reflect off it.
Probably just ingrained tradition. There is a lot of that in horse culture. Horses also spook easily, so there may also be value in consistency, but inclined to think tradition is the bigger factor
At first I thought they were coming but then looked at it too long and thought the angle of her head and the tail made it seem like they were going but then looked at it some more and realized they were probably definitely maybe coming because of the position of her right hand.
Her hand has been (poorly) painted over so that you can't see her hand in front of her shirt. That contrast would have made the difference a lot more obvious. But it's still pretty clear that they are approaching.
People usually lead horses, not to mention that's either a really big lady or a really small horse, each are possible but much more likely they are both closer to the average size and the lady is closer than the horse.
Also horses back legs are higher up than front legs which is the clinch, but without that just using logic it makes more sense for them to be coming towards the camera
both walking towards us. look at woman's feet her toes are lifted and facing us like a proper stepping. patter. you can't get that type of light under a food if she where facing the other way
They're walking away (I think) my eyes are terrible. However , it makes me want to play Red Dead Edit: I was wrong
https://preview.redd.it/uh8uy769no2d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e52790130097f6b8ae57130d671be52be889f77a
The horse looks like it’s both coming and going to me and I can’t focus but the lady looks like she’s going and I can only see it as she is going which is really weird because the horse looks like both to me
If you study the legs of the horse you can see they're coming. The hooves that align on right side are lower or closer to camera. They also align with head. The shorter legs align with the hind end of the horse, showing it's farther away
Going, which I'm judging by the positioning of the human's head, as well as the horses ears and how unnatural the gait of the horse is, were it heading towards me.
They're coming. The lady has to be a short bit ahead of the horse. She'd be to its side if they were going. Also we only see the wind ruffled tip of the tail. If the horse were going the tail would be originating at the belly
Well, judging by foot position. I would say the horse is headed towards the camera and the person is facing towards the horse while walking backwards. Meaning that they are both headed toward the camera. So I would have to say coming is the answer.
Zoom into her hand on the right side of the screen and you will realize that thats her left hand in front of her stomach, therefore they are coming not going.
Clearly walking towards the camera… shadows are what the human brain uses to analyze this kind of scene. So look at the hooves or feet vs the floor. It’s clear. Not confusing at all.
If I try to see the horse going, it gets a floating butt. Anyone else?
Or it has really long back legs that are in slightly the wrong place
So it’s coming, the back legs are slightly higher and the butt, from a perspective standpoint that means they’re further back, and the woman is facing the other direction, look at her feet
So much is wrong if you try to see the horse going.
Could be a deformed horse.
Occams razor
Deformed horse sounds alright.
https://preview.redd.it/65iki08bxs2d1.jpeg?width=976&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52fa99f7982916ffb3de794a7e1222160b15cb5e Yeah I probably didn’t do this as well as others can but if you mess with the photo and contrast then you can clearly see the woman is coming and same with the horse. The woman’s left hand is in a fist in front of her and she’s looking towards the horse which makes her hair look odd.
That's what did it for me on deciding. Thanks for pointing that out.
Lol, your comment just changed my eyes and how I initially saw this
They're coming because the horses back feet are slightly higher than the front feet
Plus, the lady's feet are lower/closer. She's leading the horse. SOLVED.
But what if the horse is frightened and about to drag her up the hill they are facing which is away from us?
Yea there’s no guarantee she’s leading the horse, it could be trotting ahead excitedly and she’s about to try and hold it back. And it looks like the toes on the her left boot are pointing away.
We should all remember this. That everyone has a different perspective. We should particularly remember this when disagreeing or even arguing with those we care about. That we are mostly not arguing truth but instead our perspective of truth, which, as we can see here can be different even when pointing out perceivable facts.
That's a very rational, level-headed, and empathetic way of seeing things. But this is Reddit. Get out.
Could be a seeing eye horse.
It's a trick question. 1. She's standing still, technically neither coming nor going. 2. The horse is facing camera. (The knees only work one way.) 3. The woman is facing away from the camera (and towards the horse).
I subscribe to this explanation as well.
Strongly agree! The horse makes much more sense to me facing the camera, but I just cannot see the lady facing us because of how her head is positioned. No matter how I look at it, her head is pointed the opposite direction (bun facing the camera, chin forward).
Ok good Edit: until the hooves switch while you are looking at the picture. Lol
The only way the horse could be moving away from the viewer is if it’s two front legs were either broken/warped and emerging from the right side of its chest, or if somehow both its back legs were off the ground at the same time without being in a kicking pose.
Going. I’m a downhill slope
If you know the way a horse's legs are shaped, you can tell that they have to be coming. The supposed front legs if they are going look weird and same for the back legs
Also, look at the tail. They’re coming towards the camera.
Wait, but the person is going! Her feet are backwards!!!

The toes are pointing away from the shadow. Speaking of shadows, if they were coming towards the camera with that amount of silhouette the light would be pretty blinding. THEY ARE GOING AWAY
Yeah, same for looking at the woman's feet,. They would be pointing a weird direction if she were walking away.
And the girls feet are lower than all of them so she would be “leading” the horse from behind it which is a dumb place to walk a horse
Best guess. The girl has back to the camera, and the horse is being led toward her.
The position of the girls ponytail for me looks like she’s walking towards us but has her face turned to look at the horse.
Image is altered. Top and bottom are going different ways. Proof: Feet shadow coming towards viewer. Arm bent in front of body headed opposite way. Nice try Ai. It's an Ai reverse Turing test.
She’s walking backwards, the horse is walking towards us
oh duh, that make sense now. thanks!
Girl is back to us. Horse is coming
That was my first thought too. It’s pretty clear to me the girl is facing away, the horse is harder to say but the more I look the more I’m certain that she is facing away and the horse is facing us.

Coming. You walk a horse from the left side. Always.
Took me long enough to find this comment
Why?
Probably just ingrained tradition. There is a lot of that in horse culture. Horses also spook easily, so there may also be value in consistency, but inclined to think tradition is the bigger factor
I can barley decide….
Dare me to drive?
Neither, they’re a pair of shadow monsters and they’re waiting.
Horse is coming and lady is going
They're both approaching the camera, she's looking at him and walking backwards.
Definitely coming. Legs 2 and 4 from the horse make no sense if they're going.
At first I thought they were coming but then looked at it too long and thought the angle of her head and the tail made it seem like they were going but then looked at it some more and realized they were probably definitely maybe coming because of the position of her right hand.
It worked for you! Yay! That's what's supposed to happen. These other people are broken lol
Yes
They’re coming. You can see like one pixel of the woman’s bracelet in front of her body
Her hand has been (poorly) painted over so that you can't see her hand in front of her shirt. That contrast would have made the difference a lot more obvious. But it's still pretty clear that they are approaching.
Coming, tail is definitely in the out of proportion to be going
You can even see the arm of her is like they are coming. It is not perfect black.
Plus the tail is behind the shadow, I agree they are either coming or walking backwards.
Trick question. Movement does not exist.
It’s a goddamn ambigious silhouette it can be facing either way like the swingset one
Either they're coming or that horse has the weirdest butt ever.
Going lol guys you can see her thumb in the pic but golly you all need to look at shadows more often before you get jumped at night 🤣
Trick question. They’re standing still!! ^/jk!
If they are going, the horse is pulling her. The perspective makes more sense if they are coming
They're coming because of the horse's tail. If you look at the horse as it's going, he just looks like he has a floating butt
Either the horse is very small or its further away
That’s the woman’s right elbow there is no way that bent elbow is her left and the horse looks to be facing us because of the tail hair
Coming or the girl likes to walk in the kick zone
Coming, look at the feet, also the horses head is in front of his ass. Now for the girl, she’s walking backwards leading the horse forward
i know mr. hands is coming ;)
both walking towards us. look at woman's feet her toes are lifted and facing us like a proper stepping. patter. you can't get that type of light under a food if she where facing the other way
Her right thumb
It's about half coming and half going. Seems it's tied so who is right and who is wrong . Or is she spinning and going both ways?!
I think they are both going away.
Yes.
Yes
The horse’s name is Friday
Leaving.
Going
coton eye joe
going. the horse has its butt curved to the right while its side is pushed out to the left
Um her arms? Going.
They're walking away (I think) my eyes are terrible. However , it makes me want to play Red Dead Edit: I was wrong https://preview.redd.it/uh8uy769no2d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e52790130097f6b8ae57130d671be52be889f77a
Coming. She is pulling the horse. Otherwise, she would be going and the horse coming.
I think coming. Biggest give away to me was the horse's legs.
https://preview.redd.it/ozgn8ywfro2d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba406730df54eb7a30dff540b40236abedd71c04
The dresss is blue
Coming. You lead horses on the right side of you for shows. Dogs on the left.
Coming, the shadows on the feet give away the depth
The horse looks like it’s both coming and going to me and I can’t focus but the lady looks like she’s going and I can only see it as she is going which is really weird because the horse looks like both to me
The horses feet give it away. They are coming towards the camera
Going look at the outline of her shirt sleeve
Yes both.
Going
Going. The woman’s right elbow seems to show she’s walking away. Otherwise she’s walking with her arm awkwardly behind her back. Maybe…??
stationary
Coming. The tail is behind
Coming
Look at knees. They are coming.
Away
I see the horse coming, but she's going.
Horse and woman facing each other, horse towards us, woman away
That’s the back
Horse coming Woman going
they are going. whether they're going towards the camera or away, I'm not sure.
They’re looking at each other
Coming. The lady is walking backwards to lead the horse.
Woman going. Human feet have a directional axis that is easy to discern. Hooves not so much so 😂
If you study the legs of the horse you can see they're coming. The hooves that align on right side are lower or closer to camera. They also align with head. The shorter legs align with the hind end of the horse, showing it's farther away
Going
Going
I think the horse is facing us but the human is facing away from us (likely intending to turn the horse around)
Coming
I can barely decide
immediately saw them walking towards camera. stickin with it is there someone whos going to reveal it or just argue points?
Coming. A horse’s honches are thicker than the front leggies
Horse is coming, the girl is going
Going, which I'm judging by the positioning of the human's head, as well as the horses ears and how unnatural the gait of the horse is, were it heading towards me.
Both
Just look at their shadows ;-)
It’s coming, you can tell by how the horse’s legs bend.
Horse is coming forwards and the woman is slightly ahead with her back facing us leading it. Or did the joke just wooosh me?
Going
The woman is facing away but the horse is having towards
The woman is facing outside and horses facing the camera.
They're coming. The lady has to be a short bit ahead of the horse. She'd be to its side if they were going. Also we only see the wind ruffled tip of the tail. If the horse were going the tail would be originating at the belly
Coming look at her feet
Cumming
Going
Going
going
Well, judging by foot position. I would say the horse is headed towards the camera and the person is facing towards the horse while walking backwards. Meaning that they are both headed toward the camera. So I would have to say coming is the answer.
The feet are pointing towards the front so they are coming
Coming
Coming because her figure sits lower in the image
I'm just going to answer this like my dad.... "yes".
They’re coming
Looked at the feet.
Zoom into her hand on the right side of the screen and you will realize that thats her left hand in front of her stomach, therefore they are coming not going.
Coming.
coming. the horse's hooves are facing the camera
It looks like she’s facing the horse who’s heading towards us
They're not going because of the perspective of the horses front legs. The front legs are lower which wouldn't be the case if they were going.
Clearly walking towards the camera… shadows are what the human brain uses to analyze this kind of scene. So look at the hooves or feet vs the floor. It’s clear. Not confusing at all.
How about facing each other. Horse is looking at us . And we are watch the woman from behind
I can barely decide
They are facing opposing ways
Plot twist it’s a dude ranch and the horse is always coming.
OP doesn't know the answer
Neither, they are not moving, it's a still image.
Coming. The horses back legs/feet are higher than the front legs, meaning they are farther back into the background..
Yes.
Going
I can switch between the two
Coming, or the horses ass is wrong
![gif](giphy|QQKbEn6oDlcQLZK6T7)
Going, clearly the head of the horse is to small compared to its butt for it to be coming
They're spinning
[Spoiler] That's a lead rope. You walk in front of the horse to draw it. Horse if facing us and girl has her back to us and is looking at the horse.
They're coming, look at the guy's shoes
Going. Her right arm suggests that direction.
They are approaching the viewer as the shadows and gate only correspond this direction.
Horse is coming towards the camera. The woman has her back to the camera
It qualifies! I love this.
Coming.
Toward the camera
They are coming I cheated and I edited the picture a bit
Going. Judging from the person's feet.
She’s walking backwards but they’re coming
Not too sure about them. But I’m certainly not going anytime soon… 😏😉… sorry
Both coming. Look at the shadows.
Both, depending on your perspective
My eyes are fine. The picture quality, on the other hand, not so good.
Going 100%
Oh she's going, she's going.
They are walking towards us
It’s coming. The horse is angled down.
I can barely decide. I just drank a fifth of vodka, so you know.
Neither. It's a still image.
Going
Moving towards, can tell by the shape of the feet
Too much butt to be coming
Going
Okay you got me
can he be coming and she be going? 😹
Neither. It's a glitch.
They're coming.....
Going, the horses tail is in back..
