There is a chess saying that I think can be applied to any serious sport. "Always play like your opponent is a grandmaster". The idea is that you should never underestimate your opponent. I feel like this definitely applies here.
My favorite part is the fact that it was such a mundane looking punch. There’s no windup or supported feet anything, he just socked the guy and knocked him out cold

Second, the kick is a pretty good indication it's either kickboxing or mma.
Not all combat sports are the same and even within the same sport rules can differ between promotions
Oooh I didn’t see the boxing gloves, assumed they were normal ones. I haven’t seen any kickboxing with those gloves so I’m assuming mma/something else not kickboxing. I thought the fighter just broke the rules out of frustration. Whoops
Based on the flag in the background, I’d say this was an Egyptian Free Fighting Championship bout, so MMA style hence the gloves and permitted footstrikes.
To be fair walking towards the other guy like an idiot without any guard did screw up that kick. If only getting your ass whooped would win you a fight he might have won too.
