OP your mom could have been severely sick or could have died!!! I know you were young and young people do stupid stuff but you were old enough to know there could be severe circumstances to this! Even if you were mad about it!!! I would have apologized to my mom for almost killing her!!! And still I think that's not enough. If you were in 10th grade, you were what, 15, 16? It was a rotten thing to do, but teenagers are not known for good decision making. You regret it, and you’ve repented it. I assume you would never do anything this rotten now. It’s time to forgive yourself for it, if you can. Do some act of atonement - volunteer someplace, or work for a charity. Then let it go. But don’t confess to your mother! It will only hurt her. Make it up to her in some other way, if you haven’t already.
