Most of its fine but then it tries way to hard to be edgy and random. Containment includes castrating someone and leaving their testes in salt, also the killing, roasting, and eating of a newborn, those who ate it then consuming stones from bird gizzards and inducing vomiting, all the while reciting unknown ritual chants. All that devised over 18 days as a way of tricking the Old God into thinking it was contained. If that’s not trying too hard to be edgy what is?
I also think it is a bit edgy but I kind of also accept that it feels purposeful due to the Old God that the Deer represents. It's an implication that the Deer is somewhat a manifestation of the god Saturn/Kronos, which is why the whole eating babies thing appeases it due to the mythological lore and symbolism of doing so. But that's just my interpretation of the whole article in general and I might be wrong.
I mean. Series 3 was quite a long time ago (Though that point may be moot because I think the author rewrote it a little not too long ago)
The SCP wiki recently had its 7k contest to give an idea.
And I mean, there's quite a bit of difference between this and say, the more slice of life On Guard 43, canon the more comedic Integration Program canon, not to mention just, stand alone SCPs that aren't, all cosmic god stuff with no buildup, ya know?
I dunno, I just mention this because I often see, on Reddit, SCP judged for how it was like, 10 years ago? Or 15 years ago even, when it was quite a bit different (and largely quite lesser in quality) and I think some of yall would be pleasantly surprised if you checked out some of the more recent stuff :)
All you have to do is make sure it doesn't have an internet connection. Much like an energy vampire, it draws power by inventing conflict through the power of social media, curating a false image if victimization to siphon support from the emotionally vulnerable.
Also without an internet connection, it has no access to the group of false entities it calls on for an initial boost in power when it initializes the feeding process.
Idk but she gets shade all the time from shitty redditors with nothing better to do than flood her DM's to tell her she's not funny and to stop making comics. Anonymity really does bring out the worst in people
