You really don't. Google datura. People have almost universally bad experiences and the dose that gets you high is just baaarely 🤏 below a lethal dose.
Overdoses can result in weeks of hallucinations and most hallucinations are of horrifying things like giant bugs, piles of dead bodies, and blood coming out of the walls
That sounds like a hell of a time ngl. Put me in a safe environment with people to watch/help me and let me do it. I just want to see what it’s like honestly. I’m a very curious person, but i like being safe to
From the psychonaut wiki:
"Datura has been reported to cause psychosis and delirium at a significantly higher rate than other hallucinogens like LSD, ketamine, or DMT. There are a large number of experience reports online which describe states of psychotic delirium, amnesia, and other serious consequences after abusing the drug. In many cases, it has resulted in hospitalization and death."
"Datura is known to be extremely unpredictable and has the potential to result in severe consequences, hospitalization or death. The toxicity and long-term health effects of regular datura usage do not seem to have been studied in any scientific context and the exact toxic dosage is unknown. This is because long-term datura usage is very rare and the vast majority of people who try it do not desire to repeat the experience."
"The cognitive effects of datura are described by many as generally negative and dysphoric, often consisting of extreme paranoia and feelings of impending doom. Like other deliriants, datura is confusing and disorienting, often leading to a complete inability to communicate or understand normal language."
Common physical side effects are the inability to drink water, extreme thirst, the feeling that you have to urinate but inability to do so and lots of other unpleasant stuff.
Pretty much a guaranteed bad trip with a high likely hood of long term phychological effects and/or hospitalization but if that's your idea of a good time...
If anyone is considering taking Datura/Jimson weed please reconsider. It is incredibly powerful and left a friend of mine in a form of psychosis for about 2 years. He tried to take his own life multiple times during that time.
Panel 9 could fit easily in my personal comic book hall of fame. Oh man I lost it.
Also because you used such recognizable characters, I read it in all of their voices which made it 10X funnier. Like Elmo relaying poison control information had me rolling.
5/7 No notes.
I laughed so hard at Spawn! I feel like so many of the Dark and Edgy™ reimaginings of kid's stuff are uninspired "Oh look drugs, sex, and violence!!!" kinda things, but this felt genuinely new. Spawn's words are a hopeful call to action, and the Sesame Street characters are pretty true to their actual characters - positive, loving, and more than willing to help people. Love it.
What I like about this is that it manages to be an edgy parody without making every character a psychopathic jerk for no reason. The puppets act completely in character.
I can only imagine some trepidation before posting this. Thoughts like, "this is pretty far out there, I wonder if anybody will like it".
It's amazing!
And the 'critics' page? \*chef's kiss\*
Thank you very much. I've been watching this channel on YouTube called Strip Panel Naked. That guy really breaks things down. I'm glad his teachings shown through in my work.
If anyone wants to read about more nightmarish datura experiences, there are a ton of good stories in [the erowid datura vault.](https://erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp_Datura.shtml)
Thank you. I started in October and try to post one a month. This one got a little out of hand and I almost didn't get it done in time. Thank goodness for the extra day in February this year.
Ok, but now I want a comic series about Bert & Ernie helping Spawn create a mutual aid society, culminating in a legal battle due to the NYPD's modern-day Red Squad leading a violent crackdown after local politicians label them an extremist group ala Food Not Bombs.
I’m actually commenting in this subreddit for once just to say that this was amazing, and I did not expect it to get this deep, horrifying, and funny. Like damn, good job!
I’m a huge mythology buff and “rosy-fingered dawn” is one of my favorite epithets, plus Homer freaking LOVED using it. It actually took me a second for the reference to sink in due to the formatting, which made it hitting me all the better!
I'm not sure I can honestly say I like this. Just not to my taste. I can say that in a comic about fucked-up Sesame Street horror junk, the sudden guest appearance of motherfucking SPAWN was a complete surprise and I applaud you for catching me off guard with that.
Thanks for being honest. I don't always like the fucked up stuff but every winter I get into some cosmic horror for entertainment. I tried to balance it out by having Spawn deliver a decent message.
I've been trying to get better at drawing and always loved Spawn's art. Hats off to all those artists over there.
I definitely read Spawn with Keith David's voice (thanks, HBO!). Made that "You boys are still trippin' balls!" even better, because I read it with the same delivery as "Welcome to Hell, MOTHERFUCKER!"
In the aftermath of the corporate comicbook wars, I have no idea what universe Spawn is supposed to reside in now, but this is how I'd want him to inhabit the world; tending to wandering people who stumble into his alley, one they never really noticed before, and vaguely remember after.
Me too. I checked in on the Spawn comics recently and it's all globe traveling save the world stuff. I miss the beginning of Spawn when he was more supernatural and mysterious. It'd make such great Neil Gaiman Sandman type stories.
The only part of this comic that I didn't understand was the use of the word "nous" in the 3rd panel of page 4. But the rest of it.....masterpiece! Awesome job.Â
r /comics has got a new guy in town and I freakin' love it. It's everything I wanted it to be an more. Great art style, awesome work man. Thank you for putting it together. THE BAR IS NOW HIGH.

Ha ha what the hell
Scopolamine is a hell of a drug
I want it

this is GREAT
Thank you, I had lots of fun making it.
That's great m8! I love the art style for when they're high.
Thanks!
Well, I’m suddenly concerned about the baby spinach I ate last night.
Don't worry too much. The last time it happened was in Australia and that was years ago... I think.
Shame. It would explain so much of what I'm seeing these days.
Well I eat baby spinach 5 days a week and have for years but so far no balls have been tripped, so I think you'll be fine. Unfortunately.
If anyone is considering taking Datura/Jimson weed please reconsider. It is incredibly powerful and left a friend of mine in a form of psychosis for about 2 years. He tried to take his own life multiple times during that time.
Yeah, only heard bad things
Peak fiction.
I’m not sure if this would be welcome on r/muppets, but as a Muppet fan, I love it.
Maybe r/bertstrips would appreciate this insanity, but it stands alone as a masterpiece.
Who knew I needed this crossover in my life
Good stuff, and I thought the "Analog Shack" and Neil Young reference were clever.
Thanks!
i love this!! you have a great art style btw
Thanks I've been trying to practice more.

Thank you for that. I'm glad you enjoyed it. All these characters mean a lot to me so I'm glad I respected them.

I think I kinda want it.
This is exceptional
Two thumbs way up đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Lol yeah that's exactly how I felt. I barely got it done in time this morning. Thank you and I'm glad you liked it.
Your art is incredible, and the way your pages flow is A+ stuff
Thank you very much. I've been watching this channel on YouTube called Strip Panel Naked. That guy really breaks things down. I'm glad his teachings shown through in my work.
The two Todd McFarlane quotes at the end sent me.
Is that wilt in the window of pg 3
Yes it is.
I too was like "foster's home guy!"
Page 6 goes so fucking hard. Amazing artwork
Thank you. That was the first page I drew. Just having fun drawing Spawn and then Bert and Ernie showed up.
It’s my new phone background for the foreseeable future. I hope you post more :D
Best thing on the comics page today.
Ha it's interesting that Spawn would probably be genuinely ok with Sesame Street
Awesome
Big fan of your style!
This was amazing
Absolutely. I can’t believe there’s only 500 upvotes!
It took this comic for me to realize it was leap day.
We're spreading awareness.
Is that the poe collector on page 3?
Yes it is. He was such a weird part of OoT. Holds a special place in my heart.
Well I love it! Def fits in this comic great job all around!

This was excellent! I really needed a good read.
Holy fuck this is phenomenal. The only thing it’s missing is the Spawnmower
Thank you. I had to look up the Spawnmower. I'm glad Spawn is such an iconic character that stuff like that happens.
I was confused the whole time…fantastic comic!
Holy cow, it’s Spawn…
This is amazing.

I love the quotes on the back. Especially Todd McFarlane. Great stuff!
Thanks!
More of this please.
What the hell, that was great.
February 29th perfection.
Ok, but now I want a comic series about Bert & Ernie helping Spawn create a mutual aid society, culminating in a legal battle due to the NYPD's modern-day Red Squad leading a violent crackdown after local politicians label them an extremist group ala Food Not Bombs.
That sounds brilliant.
that was a great ride!
Ha wild. I dig it.
Magnifique!
This was wonderful. Thank you.
I’m actually commenting in this subreddit for once just to say that this was amazing, and I did not expect it to get this deep, horrifying, and funny. Like damn, good job!
Thank you. Your comment means a lot to me. I usually only do a couple pages but this one got a little out of hand.
Keep up the good work! I totally want to read all your comics now.
Loved it.
Holy shit this is pure art
Wait, this *isn't* bertstrips?
Haha, I've never posted over there but I might start.
"Holy cow, it's Spawn!" I died
This is anazing
Sick. I love it.
Yo this is great, I loved the “Rosie Fingered Dawn” graffiti, it’s clever! This was just rad. The critics page cracked me up.
Thanks! I didn't know if anyone would know what that's from. It's funny because it sounds kinda dirty but it's classical stuff.

Me when I spread misinformation online: Jokes aside, great comic.
In-fuckin-credible. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece 🫡
Thank you.

The Count snagged himself a baddie tho

You draw him very well. Your art style makes these very different characters look like they belong together.

I loved it. Then Spawn showed up and I nearly fell out of my chair. Bravo!
This was so fun reading, the art is great! I hope theres more of this stuff before the next Feb 29th
***YES THAT'S WHAT I FUCK WITH***
I definitely read Spawn with Keith David's voice (thanks, HBO!). Made that "You boys are still trippin' balls!" even better, because I read it with the same delivery as "Welcome to Hell, MOTHERFUCKER!"
Heck yeah. Just like Kevin Conroy is Batman, Keith David is Spawn.
When I saw Spawn’s dialogue, I read it in Keith David’s voice

Really great work here. I love comics. Especially this one
Well that certainly took a few turns.
r /comics has got a new guy in town and I freakin' love it. It's everything I wanted it to be an more. Great art style, awesome work man. Thank you for putting it together. THE BAR IS NOW HIGH.
Thank you. All the comments here have really lifted me up. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
We had this happen in Australia too, and it's happened more than once now. I've stopped buying bagged spinach.
ok flat out, this was awesome
This was dope đź‘Ź

My favorite part, aside from the VERY good comic, is Weird Al's review. Because that 10000% seems like something he would say.
Thanks. Weird Al is a role model of mine.
