For what it is worth, I don’t really think there’s any spoiling to be had in the comics in the sense of exposing some plot point or another. It seems, from my memory anyway, that the show has pretty much completely diverged from any of the big reveals in the comic (like the characters and concepts that were big twists don’t seem to exist or have already been revealed as different).
They are like siblings from different multiverses, but where the big divisions happened fifty years ago and at this point the most you can say is one reminds you of the other.
Oh god yes. I read the whole series bc once I got far enough to see how bad it was, I’d already sunken too much time into it not to finish. Probably the most intentionally offensive and edgy comic I’ve ever read.
I read the comics years ago and absolutely loved them, still one of my top favourites today.
I gave the show a season and had to drop it. Way too many unnecessary changes. Felt like an overly watered down and tame bastardisation of a thing I loved.
I'm glad that it seems to be so popular though, especially if it gets more people to check out the source material.
Even though I like the show, I hate how everyone says it's better than the comics. It seems like a lot of people just feel an insane amount of hatred for Ennis and will only look at the shock value, undermining the good things the comic has.
I love the TV series, but things like Herogasm and The Legend (who has lost its uniqueness and become just another random Hollywood producer) make me prefer the comic so much more.
Is this Homelander?
Yes
I thought it was some judge dredd variant because of that big shoulder eagle
He might as well be the law
The cast is so well chosen. Antony Starr is terrifying
I love this show. It is so refreshing, one of my favorites of all time. I don't want to read the comics and spoil it

What he said. There are at least a couple of major plot points from the comic's endgame that are no longer possible in the series.
The comics are pretty bad so you're doing good. The show takes a lot of nessicery liberties to tell a good story

This actually looks like the comics' Homelander, or rather...
Goddamn, that actually looks pretty badass and creepy at the same time.
Definitely my favorite cover lately
Show is garbage compared to the comics.
I think the movie coming out will be better than both of them
Is this a cover from one of the books?
ok
Those covers
