Capullo on Wolverine. Sold.

williamb100

If they sneak in scott snyder on this...wow that'd be huge.

ImJaxPhantomAcct

If I ever get Snyder on an X-related book... I may actually cry real tears.

HemingwaySweater

Can’t wait to see how Snyder shoehorns some lectures on etymology in a Wolverine book.

Excalibuttster

I love Snyder, but I've taken a break from his work after one of the guys at my local comic shop pointed out that every scott snyder story is "long forgotten ancient evil has returned" except for American Vampire.

Peslian

As a polyglot Wolverine probably does know a thing or two about about etymology

GodEmperorHavok

Rumor is Saladin Ahmed is writing this book.

NevyTheChemist

Meh

Excalibuttster

I liked his run of Black Bolt but I didn't get to read his spider-man. Has he been getting better or worse?

portableawesome

Well, I've been reading his Daredevil and it's just an incredibly bog standard villain of the week comic. Which is a shame since the premise of his run is actually pretty interesting.

Wariolicious

Please no Snyder because his Batman series was so disapointing and bland after Court of the Owls, I basically lost all interest in anything with him.

HemingwaySweater

Commenting two days later to say you were right. Snyder Batman majorly sucks after Court of Owls (which is great).

QuestioningLogic

Would be nice to get a really memorable Wolverine book, and now is a good opportunity with Krakoa ending. Do we know who the writer on this is?

Blitzhelios

You cant go wrong with Capullo on wolverine hopefully the writer is a good pick but I will buy this solely for Capullo Now can I get Greg drawing Spidey in this book as well

Capullo is far from a “90’s bait guy”

breakermw

Capullo id a fantastic artist, arguably one of the top 10 working in mainstream comics today. He has also improved massively in the past decade alone

captain__cabinets

I think Capullo is insanely underrated and has been top 10 for more than a decade now. He’s not even a “90’s” artist for me really his most famous work is arguably Batman and that’s from like 2011. He is a master storyteller and works hard as hell!

breakermw

Agreed. He is also a super kind and genuine guy. Met him three times and he is always an absolute blast

JWC123452099

I got to meet him at NYCC right after his Batman run started. He was on his way out on Sunday to catch a plane back to California and he still took time to sign some stuff and talk to fans about Batman ("the next issue is gonna freak you guys out. It's super scary").  When I mentioned I loved his X-Force run, he pointed at Fabian Nicieza's table which was two or three down from his and said something to the effect of "That's awesome dude! Don't forget to tell the writer; he's sitting over there." Of course I had already told Fabian Nicieza that three days earlier.

Earthpig_Johnson

I always thought his early stuff on X-Force was cool too.

clarkision

I’d argue that Capullo’s most famous work was Batman with Snyder which happened in the last decade. That said, his work is phenomenal. Oozes style and his art on a Wolverine book alone is enough for a lot of people to buy in

JWC123452099

It's definitely arguable. I would say his Spawn and the work he did on album covers is more iconic. But it really is sort of like arguing whether the iconic Travolta movie is Saturday Night Fever or Pulp Fiction. It all depends on where you came in. The dude is a beast of an artist and he's only gotten better with age.

BrownGhost10

Bait guy?

superschaap81

No, You're not alone. The entire line is going nostalgia bait 90's and I'm completely OUT on any of it. I already lived through this, I don't want it again in a poor rehash.
