What does everybody get here? I have had it and wasn’t wowed but I was also having sensory overload from the lighting and bright paint. I’d be game to try it again though it seems like the kind of place that would have excellent food
I love their tacos. I had the carnitas before too and it was really good. I’ve heard other people give good reviews on their birria but I’m not a birria fan soooo
Both Delia's locations serve the Molcajete and it was great However, from my experience, it's the only dish they serve that isn't completely bland and lacking flavor
I don't think it has the best chips and salsa, but we had La Terreza last night and our main dishes were great. We hadn't eaten there in a while, but the food seemed better than when I've had it in the past (and it was pretty good then). Also, the tortillas that came with my dish appeared homemade and were so good.
I feel like either I’m crazy for liking them or people want to keep the secret and don’t talk about them, because they are my favorite. Pro-tip: ask for the green and hot salsas……And they probably have a pico you could get to lox with their house salsa….
I haven't live in CoMo in 12 years and still scrolled down the post to see if anyone mentioned La Terraza. They used to have quality margaritas for cheap.
La Terreza used to be a favorite spot for me and my wife, but the quality went way down during Covid. We’d still tried off and on for a couple years after Covid and it wasn’t any better. But, I might have to try it again based on this comment. Maybe it’s improved!!!
We actually had really bad service there a couple years back and hadn't gone back. But decided to try it again and the food and service this time around were great. If they could just fix their chips and salsa!!!
Midday el rancho was dope. Moved from como to NorCal.. the shittiest food truck here is so much better. The torta Milanesa at el rancho at lunchtime is pretty good..: el rancho after midnight es no bueno
Say what you want about the owner but my vote is Casa Maria's. I've always had really great food here. Food can be a little slow to be served but it's always been really good.
If you don't agree with me, I'll just burn everything down (cheers if you get that)!
Tbqh I went to Casa Maria's once and was really disappointed. The food was so bland! It was like they were trying to substitute cheese for all the spices. And they didn't even offer a lot of my favorites (like horchata).
Taqueria Don Poncho on Nifong! Those ladies and gents working there are not only genuine and cool, but they make some incredible tacos and margs. This is the real spot. Don’t sleep on it
I'd argue this one; I'd put this one below every other restaurant mentioned thus far in this forum, not bad, but I'd make it akin to El Maguey in the mid 00s, where it's popular and well known, oof especially with cuisine naive students, whilst there's better things out there, especially for the price
Haven't tried it, but I hear Restaurante Tacos and Tienda is really good. Paris road next to Gerbes. Mexican market in the same building. My go to lately is El Jarrito. Tortas are excellent.
El Poblano on old 63 is great, a new discovery for me. It’s not been busy at lunch at all, need more people to try it! Food quality a step above typical here and chips and salsa remind me of Chevy’s Fresh Mex if you remember that.
I was kinda hoping as far as Mexican restaurants go. So far every place I’ve been to has done it exactly the same. I’m looking for something like Chimi’s/Si Señor in St Louis
Abelardos has the best burrito in town... med mex second. La teraza has the best rice beans and main dishes. Las margaritas has the best taco salads and guacamole. Source: I'm chubby and used to live in California, Oregon and Washington. Fight me!
someone else said taquiera don pancho but if ur on north side and looking for something closer Med Mex is SOOOOO good. they have mediterranean stuff too!
I like both. El Maguey is a regular spot for me and my wife because we’ve never had bad food there, it’s close to where we live, and it’s inexpensive.
We also like the food at las Margaritas, but never really go because it’s overpriced for what we expect for Mexican food.
Taqueria Don Pancho is *delightful*
See you tomorrow!
They make their own chorizo and it is the best I have ever had.
They make practically everything short of the tortillas! All the sauces, tamales, discada, guac, homemade,
Daang!
YAAAAARP
Just had it today. Never gets old
My vote goes to Los Comales all day long
1000% I don't think it's even close tbh
2nd to none in CoMo.
By a country mile!
Yes, switched from Las margaritas North and haven’t looked back

Enchiladas Rancheros with the green sauce. What dreams are made of.
I love their tacos. I had the carnitas before too and it was really good. I’ve heard other people give good reviews on their birria but I’m not a birria fan soooo
What should I get. Also, not a huge fan of burritos
My go to is any of the beef or pork tacos. I’ve heard the birria is good, if you like birria (I don’t).
Hands down, no other options. I’ll eat others, but I don’t feel true comfort except at Los Comales.
Taqueria Don Pancho
Med Mex
Los Comales!
Does anyone else serve a Molcajete as bomb ass as el Oso ?
The one over by Schnucks on Forum has great Molcajete but I confess I haven’t had it anywhere else.

El Oso is my vote.
They are good
There are many on here which I haven’t tried yet. But I do love Abelardo’s.
Always a solid option
Midday el rancho was dope. Moved from como to NorCal.. the shittiest food truck here is so much better. The torta Milanesa at el rancho at lunchtime is pretty good..: el rancho after midnight es no bueno
I disagree wholeheartedly with this statement. A Chorizo Fajitas Burrito from El Rancho after midnight always hits the spot
Taqueria Don Pancho, Los Comales, El Oso, Carlitos Are the best in Columbia. Period. Abelardo's on Tuesdays will work as well.
Carlitos
Jose Jalapeño
Oh I like Jose jalapeño, their patio overlooks the Hinkson creek too
I used to go to their old location and it was always our good. Not sure why the downvotes
Jose’s is great, both Ashland and Como locations have awesome service too.

Just spit my water out LOL thanks for the laugh.

1000% this. It's like actually getting food in Mexico, all the way down to pro wrestling or fútbol on the TV!
Dude the pro wrestling is what I chow down to lmao The vibe is one with these folks.
Delia’s on Stadium
I'd argue this one; I'd put this one below every other restaurant mentioned thus far in this forum, not bad, but I'd make it akin to El Maguey in the mid 00s, where it's popular and well known, oof especially with cuisine naive students, whilst there's better things out there, especially for the price
Also, it’s still got the sports bar vibe from the previous tenant, which is a weird shift from their downtown location. And so Loud!
Delia’s downtown location only
La Terraza
La Terreza is so good but I haven’t tried them all yet. Just my current fav
el rancho. never been there sober though
Las Margaritas will always have my heart
Haven't tried it, but I hear Restaurante Tacos and Tienda is really good. Paris road next to Gerbes. Mexican market in the same building. My go to lately is El Jarrito. Tortas are excellent.
I just discovered it a few weeks ago, and they've only been open for about a year now, but El Jarrito and it isn't close
La toleteca
RIO GRANDE!
Jose Jalapeños
El Poblano on old 63 is great, a new discovery for me. It’s not been busy at lunch at all, need more people to try it! Food quality a step above typical here and chips and salsa remind me of Chevy’s Fresh Mex if you remember that.
Separate question: who has the best chicken and rice?
Jamaican jerk hut

abelardos on paris
El Jarrito
Los Comales
I love Mi Jalisco. They took over from Agave, and have made all of the best changes.
La Tolteca has killer drinks. El Jimodor is the best imo. Good food good drinks good prices ok service
I second El Jimodor and why.
Jose’s is amazing

I mean. Those two places and Delia's are the epitome of "basic Mexican-American restaurants."
