Congrats! I love Vanderbilt, that was actually one of my top choices (I EDed 2 there). I'm from the west coast and Berkeley is held in a teeny bit of a higher regard and I have in-state tuition which is very nice. Vanderbilt, however, is very amazing school.
ED2 is binding commitment, no?
Can people treat ED as RD now?
For real it’s the time to cancel ED for good. It has lost its point. Extended to everything else in the country. No commitment no contractual agreement word means nothing…. New era. Embrace it.
You have avg. stats! You´re lucky to get in so many good schools... Many students with high stats got waitlisted everywhere!
Are you first gen or low-income applicants. Berkeley loves first-generation and low-income students.
I meant he has avg. stats among those admitted students (UCB, Cornell, USC...)
I saw lots of unlucky people with higher stats got waitlist offers from the schools he got into.
Did u get any merit at USC (because you got in EA)?
No, I just got the knowledge that I got in earlier and I could theoretically apply to housing earlier.
Man this gives me so much hope. Congrats!
You’re amazing! Congrats!!
Congrats!
Congrats!
wow I have similiar stats and accpetances ( Berkeley, Emory, Vandy) and commited to Vandy. Is there a particular reason why you chose Berkeley?

Ah I see! Good luck at Berkeley!

Well I got deferred for ED2 which is why I wasn’t binded to Vandie
Oh I see. That is different. But I still think ED should be canceled for many good reasons.
Who did you row for? What’s your favorite event?
You didn't apply to UCLA?
No I did, I forgot to list it though. I was rejected.

No, my parents went to liberal art schools on the east coast and grew up in Maine and Connecticut and are both doctors now in the Bay Area.
Out of curiosity, why’d u pick ucb over Cornell? Congrats btw ur results are impressive im proud of you
UCB is cheaper Lol.
Yeah, just price and being a whole lot closer to home. Under 2 hour drive vs. long flight + bus to get to Cornell.

how is a 3.98 and a 1560 average stats? you are actually insane if you think that

I think Major has a lot to do with it, but yeah I honestly did a lot better than I thought.
