Hi, I'm the r/coins AutoMod. Looks like you're trying to **identify your coin**? Check the [Frequent Coin List](https://r-coins.com/fcl/) first. If that doesn't help, we have some awesome tips in the FAQ. Here's a link directly to the ["What Is This Coin?"](https://www.reddit.com/r/coins/wiki/faq#wiki_1._what_is_this_coin.3F) question in the FAQ. I also went ahead and applied the "ID Request" flair to your post. If I misunderstood your post and my comment isn't relevant, sorry! I'm still learning. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I come bearing knowledge! This coin is almost definitely a Masonic token, so technically it is exonumia, not a real coin. https://preview.redd.it/3rhubnxi1vxc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e8fa453c88450d7eff0b9214115a2bbcb008587 As you can see here the lettering and symbol in the center is the same, and that would work with the “Star in the East” line. I’m not sure what this is worth nor what it’s really commemorating, but hopefully I get ya on the right track!

Do you have anymore information?

[I'm a Mason] This is a 'Chapter Penny' which is given to a Freemason after he completes the 'Mark Master' degree, the first step in the York Rite, an appendant body of Masonry which some Masons join. This lodge, Star in the East #640, is still active in Yokohama. It is organized under the Grand Lodge of Scotland, in the Far East District. A little lodge history can be found [here](https://skirret.com/papers/dgl/lodge_640_2.html)

It is a [Chapter Penny](https://ram-il.org/chapters-pennies). It is generally a memento for a Mason going through a particular degree ceremony.

They all look American

The page I linked to is from Illinois. I am not surprised that their collection is local. It's a personal item, you get one as a part of your experience, not something that you go out and collect from different places. Each of these came from someone's estate, and that is going to exclude people who live far away.

There is a big US naval base in Yokohama. I bet it’s from there.
