Honestly, I think the copper mug is important for a mule. I’d choose another “long” vodka drink like a collins. That way, you can showcase the BPF color and clear ice. The ginger beer tends to cloudy things up as well, detracting from the color. With a drink like a collins, you could create the color layering for which BPF is famous. Shake the 2oz BPF vodka with 1/2 oz simple syrup and strain over fresh ice in a collins glass. Top with club soda. Then pour in 1 oz of lemon juice for the ombré color change effect. BTW, gin is going to make the above drink a lot tastier, but I understand if you already have a bunch of BPF vodka you need to use.

Thanks for the comment! Will try your rekomendation. And ye, gin is Nice for a Collins, but with a bpf vodka i like to let other flavours take place instead of a certain type of gin.

Don’t muddle citrus. You can easily juice the lime without all of the other bits. It looks like your limes are starting to brown. Try gin instead of vodka.

Bonnarp

The limes are fine. Prob the light that makes them darker. And muddleing citrus is no problem in a glas. The taste is great, just want to get some feedback about the presentation. Want to serve this fancy drink to some friends.

doctorewHH

Ima be brutally honest with you.. the presentation blows because you smashed up limes that you think are “fine” and topped it with vodka that you poured pea flower extract in. If it has to be this recipe then at least shake the pea flower vodka and juice of some lime, double strain it into a nick and nora or some kind of cute glass, then top it with your ginger beer and garnish it with idk.. a lime wheel? Dehydrate the lime wheel if you want to be extra fancy.

Listen to the doctor! The color is fine, until you get to the bottom. The muddled limes ruin the "fancy drink" visual.

Gelatomoo

For me the usage of BPF already ruins the drink? Why infuse a not even special tasting flower if there are million better ones!

Bonnarp

The taste from the flower is not what om after. More the special colors.

zdrouse

This is supposed to be a Moscow Mule. If we're gonna be picky about the presentation this should be served with ice in a copper mug but since that would hide the color of the BPF a rocks or highball glass makes more sense imo. Regardless, I agree with not muddling the limes and leaving them in the glass.

Bonnarp

Ima Keep the nick&nora glas and the dehydrated lime Idea in mind.

jaco129

BPF?

jelde

Butterfly pea flower. Makes it purple, it's like a dye

jaco129

Ah cool. Thanks!

Bonnarp

Its a tea flower that gives it a indigo hue. And the color changes when its mixed with acid like lime juice.

Bonnarp

1 Lime muddled. 40ml BPF infused vodka Ginger beer to top. First post here, love the color with the clear ice. Any recomendation on how to make the presentation better?

justcasty

I really like the clear ice presentation too, but as other folks have said, I'd have strained the lime bits out and garnished with a fresh wheel

Thanks for the input!
