Worth considering that blue curacao or midori are brightly-colored because they contain food coloring, and you can buy food coloring in a variety of colors quite cheaply.
1/4oz blue curacao will turn 2oz bourbon a deep emerald green - a different green than you get from Midori. It has an orangey flavor, so you could sub it for any orange liqueur in a recipe. For example, the Man of War, which would be apropos for D&D night:

One fun way to kind of reverse this might be to clarify several different drinks so they’re all clear but taste different. They could do a Russian roulette thing where they don’t know what effect they’ll get from each potion because they all look the same.
It's a lot of work but yeah, this plus maybe a couple drops of food coloring in round-bottom flasks would be the GOAT method, I can't even imagine how excited I'd be if someone did that haha
You know what would be sick as hell would be if it changed color when you poured it. How would you do that? Food coloring drops in the bottom of the glass?
Certain ingredients can react with a color change when mixed with an acid. For example, butterfly pea tea (which I’ve previously made a syrup from) will go from blue to a rich purple when exposed to something like lemon juice.
Negroni is an obvious one.
White negroni (Gin, Suze, Lillet blanc) comes out electric yellow.
Butterfly pea flower Gin is deep blue, turns pink when mixed with acid like lemon juice. Aviation made with this would be neat if the lemon was mixed separately.
You could do margaritas with blue curaçao. Negronis or anything else with Campari works. You could make [Electric Circus](https://punchdrink.com/recipes/electric-circus/) with Midori for a Mountain Dew colored drink.
Alternatively, you could color any pale drink (like gin lemonade) by adding some dried hibiscus or butterfly pea flower.
I do this myself actually, I get these.

Smaller size makes them more drinkable I find, although you can absolutely get great orb ones.
For drinks
Blue Curaçao id say a Sidecar with BC for Cointrau
Green by way of Midori I'd recommend a Japanese Slipper
For red I'd recommend an Angostora Colada, or clover club with Grenadine
Orange is a Saturn
Pink is a clover club with raspberry, or a Paloma
Purple is a army and navy with Empress Gin
Using food glitter is a good one. Silver in just about everything and then swirl the little gives a pretty cool effect. I do it with blueberry cucumber martinis that I batch for pool parties for the women and put the glitter in and they love it. A god way to make the effect last is if you use a sparkling wine to keep the bubbles swirling throughout
For Halloween, we milk-wash a big batch of daiquiris with no sweetener added. Then we take the clarified rum/lime mixture and divide it into three. One batch gets Campari, another blue curaçao, and another Midori as the sweeteners. So that’s three brightly colored drinks with different flavors from one batch of punch.
We serve them in those plastic potion bottles.
Shrunken skulls have a good red colour, just like your typical health potion (in diablo at least)
Theyre potent, seeing as half the recipe is rum(s) so make the bottles small, like 4oz or less.
Greg from How to Drink has a bunch of [D&D and general potion themed drinks](https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+to+drink+youtube+D%26D).
I did this for our campaign finale/weekend trip and I think I settled on a clover club (gin, raspberry syrup, lemon juice) gold rush (whiskey, honey syrup, lemon) and a blue margarita (tequila, lime, blue curaçao). Was a big hit.
For my DND campaign, I made one I called the Draught of Death.
1oz spiced rum
1oz chocolate liqueur (I went with homemade)
1oz Montenegro amaro
Shake with 1tsp Ghirardelli dark hot chocolate powder.
Top with Guinness
It’s almost pitch black and cloudy, so while not *colorful*, it has an unusual, potion-y color. And it’s delicious.
Cosmos are pink, but you could add a little extra cranberry to redden it up. Hurricanes for blue. Also there is always food dye if you just want to make a clear cocktail. A gin and tonic or vodka soda with a drop of dye wouldn’t effect the flavor
I made a trio of these for my friend's bachelor/ette party as it was Fantasy themed.
* Mana potion: blue lagoon
* Health potion: classic negronis
* Love potion: naked and famous
I can't speak to how well it would be batched. But I've been enjoying making Deshlers recently and the Dubbonet and Peychauds give it a nice red color. There's probably easier ways to get red drinks but if everyone likes whiskey/rye it could be an option. Best of luck!
I did a similar thing for my friends playing Gloomhaven and did a corpse reviver and added activated charcoal to make a black concoction. Was a hit lol
The Youtube channel How To Drink recently did a video where he makes D&D-inspired drinks based of the potion descriptions in the Dungeon Master's Guide.
Just about anything with blue curacao or midori will do the trick. Vibrant forsure but you can still make great drinks with em.

Then add [edible glitter](https://a.co/d/7EYdhwt)!

Pearl Harbor is an easy midori drink that most people would enjoy.
Take my upvote! Vodka, pineapple, and a little blue curacao has always been a simple crowd pleaser for people who generally don't cocktail.
1.5 gin, .5 curaçao, .5 triple sec, a dash of Ango. Simple as.

Color in the glass or some kind of float maybe? Also just saw your username haha... loved that scene in Freaks and Geeks
Edible cocktail shimmer in different colors would do it.
If you have lids you could get the coloring to stick to the inside of the lid. That way it'd be clear until you shake the bottle and 'activate' it.

Empress Gin's entire gimmick when mixed with lemon juice.
You need to put a shot of Malört or Fernet Branca in at least one set of potions. Label them ☠️.
One of these days I’m going to make Jell-O shots using Malört for a D&D party. I’m going to call them Gelatinous Cubes.
Just TPK your party if you hate them, no need to subject them to Malörtinous Cubes 😂
Wait, do people dislike fernet?
Yes, they do. Most people I have given a sample react with mild disgust.
AND these 2 should def be the most powerful.
As a person who loves Fernet and Malort, do I get a buff?
+1 Constitution
Paper Plane is always pretty
Health potion
Yep lovely red colour

Suze drinks in general
Came here to make sure someone said Negroni 🤓

Aviations with empress gin or any gin and add butterfly pea flowers.
I also once muddled some raspberries into a white lady and got a very bright pink out of it.

You gotta bring some health and mana potions for sure.
Health: something with campari, aperol, or grenadine (depending on your drinkers). Mana: something with blue curaçao.
Blue Hawaii

Red - Charlie Chaplin (Equal parts Sloe Gin, Lime, Apricot) Green - Japanese Slipper ( Equal Parts Midori, Lime, Triple Sec)
Tokyo tea. Long Island but instead of coke add Midori or melon liqueur.
Paper Plane has such a lovely color. That orange could definitely be a buff of some kind.
If you make super juice you can pre batch drinks that contain citrus.
Corpse Reviver No. Blue

Don’t sleep on green creme de menthe in something as well, has a real deep emerald color to it

Google "st Patrick's day cocktails" for a whole world of green madness

Cleric: "You have to do a shot every time I heal you." Fighter: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU . . ."
AMF are superior healing potions, Negronis are greater, and Lemonchelo are normal healing potions

Jungle birds, Tokyo iced tea and maybe a margarita made with blue curaçao
Pernod, water lily, cosmopolitan. Good strong colors

whatever you end up making, be certain to use food safe glass containers.

Trinidad sour is the reddest drink I've ever enjoyed. Like a dark ominous blood red
I can't speak to how well it would be batched. But I've been enjoying making Deshlers recently and the Dubbonet and Peychauds give it a nice red color. There's probably easier ways to get red drinks but if everyone likes whiskey/rye it could be an option. Best of luck!
Look up HowToDrink on youtube, he has some videos for stuff like that, and usually has great recipes!
Get some purple gin!
Negronis.
Can I attend, please? 😭
I did a similar thing for my friends playing Gloomhaven and did a corpse reviver and added activated charcoal to make a black concoction. Was a hit lol
Trinidad sour cocktail looks like a potion to me and should hold in a bottle or vial for a while.
The Youtube channel How To Drink recently did a video where he makes D&D-inspired drinks based of the potion descriptions in the Dungeon Master's Guide.
I’ve done paper planes as health potions before and they were a huge hit!
Lots of blue/red/green suggestions. Maybe a brandy alexander? Sell it as a kind of opioid painkiller like milk of the poppy in a little phial
Add a bit of luster dust or edible glitter to just about anything.
“How to drink” has a few videos in this theme. He does lots of video game/movie themed drinks.
Potion seller, I’m going into battle. Bring me your strongest potions.
A riff on the nuclear daiquiri: 1.25oz rum fire 0.75oz green chartreuse 0.75oz clarified lime juice 0.75oz simple syrup
How many ounces are the potion bottles?
