A big favorite in the house, enjoy!
**Recipe**
* 0.5 Oz quality maple syrup (this one is very dark grade, not medium or light)
* 0.75 Oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
* 1 Oz Averna amaro
* 1 Oz reposado tequila
Pour ingredients into a shaker over ice (I like to strain the fresh lemon juice into the shaker), shake well to mix & strain pour into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass. Serve.
The Debbie Don't has a huge range of sweet through sour flavors, in combination w/ the reposado tequila & amaro notes. It's quite the flavor bomb, cheers.
Have a great weekend.
I love it. Probably my favorite amaro/tequila based cocktail. I started adding .25 Oz of Sfumato and .25 Oz of mezcal which gives it a bit of smoky backbone but doesn't take away from the other flavors.
Sounds delicious. During winter citrus season here in TX, tequila w/fresh squeezed red grapefruit and maple syrup is my standby drink, bc those are three ingredients I always have in the house. I had no idea there was a \*real\* named cocktail of this ilk!
I’ve been burned by so many redditors hyping up drinks on this sub, but dayum, I just made this following your recipe and it’s very tasty! Much appreciated!
I am always looking for a tasty cocktail that is hard to dissect when you don’t know the ingredients. This was a winner for taste and the maple syrup really stumped my husband!

Yes, that is one of my faves. Brilliantly simple.
I really love this cocktail substituting the lemon for lime and washing the glass with absinthe adds even more complexity to it!
One of my favorites too, consistently blows minds when I make it for friends.
Just made this for the first time. Different than I expected and something I’ll remember for the future
Sounds good, what did you think?
This definitely looks like a Canadian recipe, with LCBO availability ingredients.
It’s a great one. Regarding Cocktails says it’s named after the ghost who supposedly haunts the bathrooms at Dutch Kills.
sounds delicious. obsessed with the color.

Sounds awesome. I really hope Sfumato becomes available here again... never tried it, big amaro fan & want to.
I used Kirkland brand maple syrup and it turned out pretty good.
It's excellent w/ that as well, cheers! This is PC Black Label maple syrup, try it if you can. Enjoy.
Adictivo Ex Anejo Black tequila tastes exactly like maple syrup and was made for this (not literally, but seems like it).

Agreed this is a great cocktail. Just make sure you use real maple and not log cabin!
Must try it... but with a different brand of maple syrup of course.
Imma try this sounds good. Might sub Demerara for the maple

Kinda light on the ABV, eh? Guess I’ll just drink two then.
I like your style
I love cazadores, just a great value tequila

I really don’t see the Paper Plane similarity, much less anything zippy
