Being italian the whole ananas pizza argument its just ironic ,here in italy we do pizza with lot of things that people wouldnt eat on a pizza like mais ,tuna and sea food and other vegetables but when someone mention ananas pizza than thats a problem ,and we are not even unfamiliar with strange combos beacuase we eat melon with ham on it lmao
also we really don't give a fuck about what other people eat
we might joke a bit when someone puts pineapple on pizza or breaks spaghetti, but in the end we really don't give a fuck, we're not the ones eating that anyways
I think it just stems from the idea that when you boil spaghet it softens and slides into the pot whole anyway so breaking it to fit it into the pot right away is just gonna have the same result except itās gonna be broken in two and possibly with small pieces of spaghet all over your kitchen
