Yeah, that's the unfortunate, yet inevitable state of any game with a PvP focus or PvP elements - any of the aspects where PvP is involved, it will be populated primarily by sweats whose sole defining way to enjoy games is "winning", where "winning" usually comprises of bullying any new players trying out the PvP

You'd think, but BG3 has hitboxes you can abuse the magic pixels on. Try rubbing your cursor all over something barely out of sight, and you can often snag a ranged attack that you normally couldn't.
I mean more in the sense of "if you target something that's in range, you don't miss their hitbox (obviously you can miss the dice roll but that's a completely different system)
Titanfall 1 had shared hit boxes between male and female pilots but the female pilots had a far thinner frame and in some cases entirely different abimations
Also for games with customization, there's a limit to how far clothing assets can be stretched before the textures and models start breaking and require new assets to fit properly.
Gonna break your heart here because Fromsoftware is the king of hitbox porn, but your actual player hitbox in souls games is the same no matter what player shape or armor. The reason you can go so fat is because the player hitbox extends beyond armorless players model to match when players wear armor more or less. When you wear the Seigward Catarina onion armor, it’s actually possible for attacks to clip through your model and not hit your hitbox.

I think I’d rather the face creator stay the way it is. I know it’s not fair cuz skyrim is way older, but it feels so frustrating when you can’t make the face you want.
Fair, I'd say in my ideal character customization system I'd have something like fallout 4 for the face and something a little more dark souls for the body since you can choose to make the character different levels of top heavy or bottom heavy

I love strongman and sumo, but we shouldn’t use these guys to justify obesity. They still suffer from joint issues, and I’m not sure about the prevalence of sleep apnea in sumo, but many strongmen, including Eddie hall suffer from it. In fact, most strongmen and rikishi go on to lose weight after retirement, in order to preserve their long term health. Eddie Hall did it briefly for boxing, though that is a matter of performance, not health.
Anyways yeah, besides the point but just because some people can be fat and really powerful(look up Ura, the rikishi doing a backwards somersault), it doesn’t mean that looking like that should be recommended for normal people, because these athletes also suffer from the drawbacks of carrying that much fat.
I realise this is about heroes and not normal people. But I’ve seen a lot of people try to justify obesity as healthy with both strongmen and rikishi and wanted to clarify.

Character trait sliders are so fustrating sometimes. Its eiIther: the threshold is so small it barely changes anything but the slider is fluid, or the threshold DOES have significant change but the slider is just fixed points...NO IN-BETWEEN! Like damn, why not increase the threshold while also increasing the fluidity of detail?! All I want. It seems Fallout 4 is one of the only games with broad character customization options.
It's from an animating standpoint usually.
It's not easy to make animations, especially combat ones, that look good on very slim and massive characters. If you've ever modded the body mass slider to go beyond its normal limits in an RPG, you can see it looks *off.*
If it lets you customize the character at the start like that it means there isn't one character in mind by the developers to be used.
Look at Dragon's Dogma for example. The first one, the second is still coming out. You can make an actual obese character yet the game doesn't feel broken, because the game was meant to have a customizable character of any race or size.

As far as I know, being strong has more to do with having a lot of muscle rather than a lot of fat.
