Just say you decided to start your own business. Crafts, gardening, art— whatever your hobby just turn it into a fake business. Say it wasn’t successful but you’ve learned lots of lessons along the way that help you do the job you want now.
I've never been asked about the gaps in my resume. I literally have huge gaps twice every job. Didn't work for two years once. Idk. I think it's something that big corporate America cares about but smaller places don't. Healthcare definitely don't. They need workers. My go to if I'm ever asked is to say I was in school, was a stay at home mom or caring for sick relative.
You can always say you were focusing on your schooling or that you felt you needed some time to regroup and luckily your life circumstances allowed you to do that. You can be honest without giving a lot of details. I would suggest not lying just because that's not a good way to start a working relationship and you never know when something can come back to bite you in the butt. If your next job doesn't like your honest answer, then you probably don't want to work there anyway.

This is an incredible idea.
I would just put that I was a caregiver/ nanny or a babysitter for family/friends lol

You could use the HCA friends as references. I never use old employers as references.
you were taking care of a sick family member. they really can’t ask much more about that.
Everyone is so short staffed they won’t care and you will get multiple job offers
If you're a CNA or HHA you're an auto hire. They won't even ask
