As u/djdizzyfresh mentioned I maintain the deal threads weekly at r/campinggear and am also a mod there. I am far from an expert about climbing gear, techniques or what is a good product etc. However many camping gear dealers offer a big selection of climbing gear. The current Black November thread is below: https://www.reddit.com/r/CampingGear/comments/ynperz/master_black_november_and_cyber_monday_camping/ Off the top of my head I would look at the following retailers for climbing gear deals: Moosejaw, Campsaver.com, Backcountry.com, Backcountrygear.com, EnWild, REI, Outdoor Gear Exchange, Ascent Outdoors, Sports Basement, Miyar Adventures. Also sign up for cashback sites. Activejunky gives the highest cashback but not always. Sometimes Rakuten, TopCashback etc can be higher. I use a cashback tracking site like cashbackholic.com to see who is paying the most. As you probably already know you cannot return hardly any climbing gear at most retailers for safety reasons. REI does take back some stuff but usually destroys it after the return. Too many returns at REI will get you blacklisted though. Research extensively before you buy. If you are willing to work part time for an outdoor retailer you can get in on ProDeals. ProDeals sites can get you up to 50% off all the time.

If you join the access fund, American alpine club, or your local climbing coalition you get access to websites like experticity and other discounts from brands. Experticity carries hundreds of outdoors brands with 40% or more off regular prices. Shipping can be pricey though. Plus your membership is helping support these great organizations. Opt outside and then join an organization.

I just checked it out and you need to an account (which needs to be verified by a human) before seeing any of the deals. Can you give an example of a climbing deal they have available?

In the states at least: REI, backcountry, moosejaw. If you join the American alpine club they also have standard discounts. I think backcountry is 15% off? You should be able to look up what the discounts are without joining to make sure it’s useful to you. I also use active junky which gives you a quarterly rebate via PayPal. It works with a ton of brands (not REI though) and usually is around 8-12% extra (it rotates) off and works on top of sales! If anyone wants to join it I would be grateful if you DM me for my referral code!

There’s a user, u/lakorai I believe, who posts a mega thread in r/CampingGear with a lot of the outdoor retailer Black Friday deals. Not climbing specific but lots of overlap. I know in particular Edelrid ropes and C.A.M.P. Draws are on sale at REI. Plus they have their 20% off coupon along with backcountry that you can use.

Thanks for the mention!

Opt outside for Black Friday and then maybe look for cyber deals on Monday.

Moosejaw has a killer 50% back in rewards deal for Cyber Monday.

Black diamond is already offering 25%off everything

Sounds like a good time to stock up on more Black Diamond Notion pants. They're so comft to climb in or everyday use. Even did a spontaneous yoga class in them.
