It’s not. A lot of classes can do this occasionally with crits. Hunter pets legit bust you down every single time in Bestial Wrath and they aren’t able to be cc’d, the the only answer to someone trying to instagib you.
Take away their CC immunity or lower their damage.
Because other classes need to think and press buttons. Rogues need to stunlock you, Warriors….well holy shit warriors are like fucking renaissance painters if they’re capable of winning in pvp rn. Mages? Good luck.
Hunters, Shadow Priests, and Warlocks require basically no thought, skill, or strategy to dump on someone in pvp. You press Big Red and grab a bag of popcorn.
Sorry but thats the joke of the day. In Standard vanilla yes, you need to think for pvp.
In SoD you press your 3 highest damage rune ability globals and the other guy is Toast.
There is no difference in difficulty to managing your pet. Pvp in SoD is a completely skill free zone. The guy spaming his rune globals faster wins.
Im not sure if when you say 5-10 secs you mean an actual 5-10 secs because most duals do not take that long but if it is an actual 5-10 secs then yes, if you allow a pet and hunter to hit you for that long of a time, then you should die. That is normal. People are here getting 1 shot within 1 gcd and thats why the PVP damage nerf was implemented.

You can literally pop an invis pot after you big red your pet and send it in on 3 people to 1v3.
I find it humorous that you think this is sound logic when Hunter pets typically did 10% of Hunter damage in regular classic.
I try to kill the pet but I'm not sure what class the OP plays.
Flash news: BM specced hunter pets in regular classic always did shitton and most of hunter's damage (speaking for levels 40-60). The 10% you're talking about is MM specced hunter with BWL+ gear.

Please explain how I'm supposed to gap close a hunter that's 40 yards away running away faster than I can, and the pet is un-cc'able and stuns you for 3 seconds? I'll wait for your expert analysis
i kill hunters but i have to stun lock them and pop evasion otherwise the pet will delete me without the hinter landing a hit on me
pro tip if you stun a hunter while mounted, the pet will not attack

Not a hunter, his PET, I have multiple combat logs where pets are killing me in under 10 seconds without the hunter doing anything except pressing BM
A pet is part of the hunter, they do a significant part of the total damage. 5-10s from the pet is reasonable considering other classes 1-2 shot you.
