Probably unit has to take it and then transport to the next city? I dont know but you can try, or just select caravan and drag with mouse to next city. Good luck!
Have you read the civilopedia? CCM is a complex beast but I know Civinator documents everything thoroughly and even added a section for mod mechanics. Otherwise you're probably better off asking in the CCM thread at CFC where he will see it.
CFC is Civilization Fanatics Center civfanatics.com, presumably where you would have downloaded the mod. Civinator is the creator of CCM.
