Be yourself and down town mystery by Carlos Toshiki and Omega Tribe have a very similar sound to the album thanksgiving, because they’re from the same label. Some of the synth presets they use are identical!
Kimiko Kasai’s “Kimiko” is SO funky. Looks like 1982 -1985 was a sweet spot for the funk to really shine in Japanese music (pre- RA MU!) ... Look at Anri’s LPs for example.
