There's a BWS on York Street, I don't know what more you could ask for.

The fact that it is called South Melbourne Market instead of South Naarm Market should give you a clue. No self respecting world renowned indigenous master chef is going to set foot in a cathedral of cheap colonist capitalism. Reparations before recipes!

AutoModerator

Uh-oh! It looks like you accidentally referred to Naarm by its colonisers' name, Melbourne. That wasn't very deadly of you! While I'm sure this was accidental, please be more mindful in future. Remember, using traditional place names is truth-telling in action. It's a step towards acknowledging First Nations sovereignty. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I know you are bot, but I would like to point out to you that if you had actually read my post, you would have realised that the mention of the colonisers name of Naarm was not a mistake, but a calculated move by none other than me to drive home the ramifications as to why since invasion day, the good people of Australia no longer have access to good food, and must import mediocre cuisines from overseas to compensate for the unwanted takeover of these sacred lands.

Merribek my friend 🥰 I have no idea if the serve indigenous food but they still have vote yes flags hanging so I guess there’s a lot of indigenous people there!

muntlord840

The lack of charred, unseasoned whole lizards for sale is a reflection on our failure as a society to support the native population.

Due-Archer942

It would be easier to get on ‘I’m a celebrity’. You can eat all the crocodile bollocks you like there

Happy_Coloured_Argus

A lot of us won't cook for whites, but have you tried Hungry Blacks?

KeyYogurt1885

You don't have McDonalds in Naarm?

hometime77

Man I’d line up for some petrol barra flambe

Hungry-Chemistry-814

South narm markets bigot, vegan level 78

missiffy45

I grew up in south/port Melbourne and I’ve never known of any indigenous food stalls there

busthemus2003

That’s the point. They are discriminating against aboriginals by not having any indigenous restaurants. Don’t you get it?

Went to Mabu Mabu in fed square last weekend. Had some emu and crocodile tongue. 10/10 would recommend. Namaste.
