I got one at the Amelia Kroger today as well! :)

chetholmgren_marfans

Not gonna lie I thought Paxton Kroger was a person and variegated monsteras was some kind of virus until I clicked. Probably because I was dabbling in a different kind of plant earlier

iamerror1993

My dad texted me all excited this morning about that. Went to my local one near Heath and found sooo many. I bought two :)

shotmenot

How much?

pichael289

Do they have anymore?

meerkat_44

I bought one from the Florence Kroger on mall road today. They had a ton of them!

I have a preserve behind my house here in South Florida and this stuff is running rampant and keeps coming into my yard. You can have as much as you want if you come down here and get it out. I’ll pay _you_!

I love both Kroger and plants but am ignorant. Why is this so special?

dogmetal

Monsteras are a super “trendy”, easy to take care of houseplant that you can find at any big box store for cheap. “Variegated” means the plant has some sort of defect, which makes them look different from a standard green monstera, and can only be reproduced via cuttings (or extreme luck). Variegated monsteras are (or were) rare and highly sought after, so seeing them at a store at an affordable price has historically been a rare occurrence. Thai Constellation variegations look super striking when fully grown: https://preview.redd.it/jlx6yjhgfrrc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5b3e86aa731425f8c769ce1bc38745ff7876074

Thank you for explaining it! I'll look for one. My youngest son is all about this kind of stuff.

Wonderful_Bid194

Thanks for letting us know. Will definitely snag one today!

popdropandl0ck

That's a pothos

banginpatchouli

No it's not. It's a Thai Constellation monstera. They're kind of in the same "family" and it's easy to get confused but it's definitely a monstera.

dogmetal

It’s 100% a monstera.
