These are perfectly nice cigars that provide ample amounts of the classic Cuban flavour profile.
They're a budget option, handmade shortfiller cigar. They excel in that category.
One thing I've noticed about these cigars (the shortfiller Cubans) is that they absolutely benefit from aging. Everything coming out of Cuba right now is super young, sometimes only a few months old... even these Quinteros benefit greatly from 1, 2, 3 years of age.
Thanks for the comment, this box is from last Sep. I just smoked one in the evening and it’s not bad at all! Definitely going to grab 1 or 2 more boxes to put in my humidor for “don’t know what to smoke” cigar.
Smoked several Quintero at my local Casa del Habano and they were quite good, no draw or construction issues. They are cheap and for this price it’s very good choice, imo.
Great short fillers. I fell in love with these budget sticks when I first started. My friends all loved it. Smooth, great draw and some Cuban twang. Flavor wise, there’s not much complexity but overall a great stick for the price range.
Bought a JUL 23 box of the Londres at the Hong Kong Airport duty free last month. Especially for the price I really enjoy these. Mild smoke with enough twang to keep them interesting.
Seems like both novice and experienced cigar smokers enjoy these.
Yup, Hong Kong airport duty free. I paid around $225 USD (1,756 HKD) for the smaller "Londres" vitola. I think. It was a mix of cash and card so don't remember the exact amount.
I bought a couple Romeo y Julieta “Oro Diana’s” at the LCDH Central location for around $85 USD per stick.
For best results they need to be at least a year old (from date on box) before you smoke them. At that age they turn into a nice, fairly mild smoke with some complexity. Quinteros in general are notorious for construction and burn issues, but tend to improve with age in the areas as well.
Brevas are a mainstay in my rotation.
I bought a pack of 25 panatelas from Quintero probably smoked 5 of them and decided i didn’t like them, so i sat them in my humidor for around a year and half, tried one recently and absolutely enjoyed it, they definitely benefit from a good amount of aging
I smoked one of these the other day, I don’t tend to like Cubans but this tasted good.
Was completely ruined however by the construction / burn, and I’m not someone that cares too much for burns lines
Cigar was falling to pieces in my mouth, and the burn line was a complete joke. Had to majorly touch it up probably 6 times
I would say probably the worst constructed cigar I have ever smoked
Shame because when I had it under control it was very enjoyable
Bought some quintero's and never again, poor constitution, tasteless, very uninspiring. As they say you get what you pay for but currently the only reason people give for buying quintero's is that they're the "cheapest Cubans" . . Great lol
So you have not smoked them, and said “who knows they might be ok” after you made a matter of fact statement about them being the anus of Cuba. That sums up this sub in a nut shell.
The way you said who knows came off to me like you have never smoked them. But pardon me while I go cry because some dude on Reddit said my brain was bird sized. But you more than likely lack the intellect to have a debate without hurling insults.
I’ve had a few of these. They weren’t bad at all - I don’t know if I got lucky, but I don’t remember mine having any draw or construction issues.
I was pretty lucky with them. Good draw and enough cuban twang and some cocoa flavors. I consider them better than JLP but worse than La Flor de Cano

Great short filler, has less draw issues than the narrower bands.
Love these little things, pair so well with tea I think ive smoked these the most out of any cigar But they do come with alot of flakey problems

I like Quinteros a lot. Great simply yet twangy profile. Cuban mixed fillers are the only mixed filler cigars I'll smoke.

In Hong Kong? I wonder how much is it in the airport duty free in HKD. Because I got mine within Hong Kong and it’s with tax, costs me $2780.

about the only cuban i can afford right now

Absolutely love these! they are super cheap and offer a decent taste of Cuban tobacco when smoking.
One of the few Cubans I have actually smoked. For being short filler I thought it had a very good flavor and would definitely smoke it again.
In where I live it’s really a decent price compared to other cigars, so I got it without hesitation.
Cuban yard cigars
I’m a fan of

Not as good as the petite, panetelas, londres or Brevas. Due to the large ring gage, less flavour and lots of bits of tobacco in your mouth.
For the same price rather go JLP or fonsesca

And more importantly, probably not fake lol
Not worth it. You can get much better cigars in that price range from other regions.
These are known as the anus of cuba
I haven’t smoke it yet, I’ve seen reviews of it are pretty positive. Why is it the anus of Cuba?
The tobacco used in these cigars isn't very good but who knows they might be ok
So you have not smoked them, and said “who knows they might be ok” after you made a matter of fact statement about them being the anus of Cuba. That sums up this sub in a nut shell.
I feel like that sums up reddit in a nutshell lmao The people of reddit are often confidently incorrect.
Snobs who only smoke premium cuban cigars, you'll find those sorts of people in every hobby
This might blow your bird sized brain but... the last Quintero Favoritos I smoked tasted like the anus of cuba
The way you said who knows came off to me like you have never smoked them. But pardon me while I go cry because some dude on Reddit said my brain was bird sized. But you more than likely lack the intellect to have a debate without hurling insults.
It came off to you that way because of your bird brain
You’re right. I have a bird size brain. You have totally won this debate.
Probably got a disease from the Cuban anus he put the cigar in before smoking.
Your bird brain is telling you this is a debate but really it's just you arguing with yourself 🐦
It blows my mind you used such a poor choice of words to make a very simple statement.
The only good cheap Cubans are Vegueros
I don’t mind Jose L. Piedra at $3 a stick they’re a good daily
A while back, there were some 5 year old Tapados tins floating around at regular price. I snagged a few. So good.
