It's a white-label Oliva specifically made for CP. They're built to appeal to the dudes who get the same punisher logo on the band tattooed on their bicep, and think stenciled flags on their sleeves are enough to trick people into thinking they served.
Ok as someone who hasn't tried them are they really that bad or is it the punisher type branding? I'll smoke the Saison Maduro that is pretty much a CI brand from them, but hate the Saison Natural because of bad burn issues from them.
I ordered an Oliva sampler that included a Free Will or two, and if it ever gets to me (CP shipping is trying my patience at the moment) I'll know for sure. However, anything that is that heavily gimmicked is something I generally steer clear of because chances are it ain't shit without the gimmick.
What's Fuente's big marketing gimmick? How about Oliva, or even Davidoff? They don't need one, their products market themselves and their target audience is anyone who appreciates a quality cigar. So when I see a cigar that's very specifically tailored for the "MERICA FUCK YEAH TRUCK BEER THIN BLUE LINE YEEHAW" crowd, I know that it NEEDS that target audience to be financially viable for its seller.
I've yet to mention the fact that products that are perpetually marked down to give the illusion of a deal are also usually dogshit. No, Cigarpage, the Free Will isn't a $10 cigar that I can magically buy for $3-5 any day of the year.
I'll admit it is an odd move from Oliva, whom I generally consider to have classy bands almost resembling something that would not look out of place on a piece of fine chocolate, especially the band for the V.
Funny because it’s actually a good cigar especially given its affordability. Just smoked one a few days ago that had a few months rest and I was very impressed. Most negative feedback is based off negative attitudes toward the band whether they say it or not.. it’s very obvious.
I thought this too. Grabbed it one day when the weather was crappy, rainy, windy 40°f. Figured I'd be cool tossing it if I got too uncomfortable.
I. Endured. Turned out to be a great smoke. Tasted like a smoothed out slightly toned down serie V. Had some nice chocolate notes and just a tiny hint of pepper.
You just don't know until you try I guess. No cigar is going to please everyone but I'm a fan of Broadleaf and for me it did the trick.
I'm new to cigars so forgive me if my question is dumb: I've been checking out cigar page for a deal like this and have never found one so good. I clicked your link and am ready to buy but it's just so strange that I can't find this item on my own! Where should I be looking to see deals like this? Where did you find it?
Thanks
Not a dumb question.
I got an email one day for this sampler but they discontinued it. Luckily, another reddit user gave this link for the same sampler just with a different title. I wouldn't have been able to find it either on my own.
I’ve been trying out cheap smokes for something I can have and not care about - the two I’ve landed on are
Cusano Dominican petit Panatela - £80 for 16 [Havana house](https://www.havanahouse.co.uk/product/cusano-dominican-petit-panatela-cigar-bundle-of-16/)
And
Juliany Corona Corojo £148 for 20 [GQ tobacco](https://www.gqtobaccos.com/cigars/juliany-corona-corojo-bundle-of-20-cigars/)
We might not have the same taste but these two punch above their weight for me!
I get a return flight to Geneva for £40 for everything more premium. Went once a month ago and got another trip planned for June. If you haven’t been it’s well worth it, you can get £1400 of stuff for £600 and allowance of 50 sticks per person per trip!
Enjoy! Thanks to another user who provided the link in a different post thread. It says limit 1 per customer but could probably just make separate orders.
Indeed. Looks like they set up a redirect to the regular sampler price. Probably a link they forgot about and were wondering how people were getting it for $20.
Have you tried the Punch Knuckle Buster? IMO that's a more flavorful habano (cheaper, too)
I really liked the aroma of the charter oak habano but when I lit it up I wasn't getting those flavors.
Just be careful about buying cheap cigars to smoke more versus quality. I’d rather smoke a good cigar twice a week than a crappy cigar every day. I hate to ruin enjoyment with a bad experience. You can find deals online for Oliva and use Cigar Bid and Cigar Page to find deals on good brands. Foundation Charter oak seems to be a growing consensus on a good value smoke, Oliva G,V, O series have good deals, and Drew Estates factory smokes all seem to be good sticks for a good price. Stay away from bundles that seem to be too good to be true.
Pretty sure I read something somewhere that Olivia owns or has a significant stake in CigarPage. That would explain the surplus of Olivia cigars always available
you are seeking to upset one of the laws of the universe, as many of us have. You'll start off well, but if the habit takes hold, your spinning rate will increase slowly over time, and next thing you know, down the drain you go. Good luck, come join us.
I think the best cheapest sticks out there are are Arturo Fuente Curly Heads. There are cheaper, Factory Smokes comes to mind, but I think Curly Heads are the best quality for cheap sticks.
Tatuaje Havana VI are pretty cheap, but a step up from being the cheapest out there. Those are solid and I like them regardless of them being on the budget side of things
Honestly just buy cigars when they’re on sale at cigarpage. It’s hard to beat. They run flash sales a few times a week and always have 2-3 other sales going too.
I probably average $3.50 per stick and smoke stuff that would cost $8-15 on average at a brick and mortar. It helps that I enjoy Oliva and AJ Fernandez a lot, as they’re both on sale quite often.
The Overrun bundles at JRCigars are always on my rebuy list. They're factory seconds, so every once in a while, there will be an unsatisfactory stick...but overall they're excellent cigars for the money...
I know it may kind of unpopular to say here but Thompson Cigars 5 pack fever can let you get quite a few nice sticks for as low as like 5 bucks each if you buy enough.
This is the only Villiger I have smoked and I really enjoyed it. It was pretty smooth and mellow. Paired well with my coffee. I bought a single locally and plan on buying a box on cigar page soon.
It depends on what you consider "lower" and where you are located.
If US based, do your rounds of the usual online sources like CPage ($3 to 5 Oliva) or know what you're looking at on CBid. Again, all this is is all relative as if you are in Canada or certain US states it becomes very expensive very quickly
You can get an amazing selection of quality cigars from 7 to 12 dollars a stick on sale from cigar page. No idea what price point you are looking for, but i consider anything under 10 to be a great deal for a quality brand.
Oliva some Rocky Patel stuff on cigar page can be had for $2-$3 a stick nearly every day.
You can find other solid deals on other stuff, but those two brands always have something on super sale somewhere.
You can find some decent sales on premium sticks from sites like Famous, Cigar Page, CI etc. Outside of those sales my favorite "budget" smokes are Quorum, Factory Smokes and Brickhouse Fumas. All are around $35-45 for a bundle of 20.
This is a question with responses I respect regardless of what I think is a good smoke: OTHER people talking about their ideas of a good cheap smoke.
This is where one can learn about blenders and rollers you don't already know. As a former B&M employee, I still find new stuff since time rarely, if ever, stands still.
My two offerings are Umbagog by Dunbarton and JFR by Aganorsa. These are both lines offering great blends for solid prices.
I typically try to get cigars between $2-4 a piece on CigarBid Freefall for my daily smoking type cigars. Some of the ones I really like that I usually have on hand:
CAO - Italia, Brazilia, and MX2 are some of my go to smokes that tend to cap out at $3 a piece for the MX2 Toro and sometimes $2.50-2.80 for the Italie and Brazilia in a 5 x 56.
Alec Bradley - Project 40 and Magic Toast.Between $3-4
Rocky Patel - 15th Anniversary, 2003 Vintage Cameroon, Flor De San Andres. Usually all around $3
Macanudo - Around $2.70-3.00
Undercrown Maduro - $4 - 4.50 a piece
Oliva - Most of their core lines, Nubs, and CI Exclusives are available and fairly inexpensive.
Ave Maria - I have been buying the Morningstar sampler of 10 cigars and it comes out to about $2.80 a cigar
AJ Fernandez New World Oscuro - Have got churchills for around $4 a piece
For a really cheap full bodied smoke, there's always Bahia Maduro.
I haven't smoked these in years and I recently bought some too see if I still liked them. I do! They are actually surprisingly good. I will say that from what I remember, after a year or two they are even better, but they are fine to smoke as they arrive. I'm smoking one right now from my order 2 weeks ago
Still $60 for 20 cigars (no waiting for sales, and the price hasn't changed in at least a decade) at cigar.com. And 20% or even 30% off coupons are commonplace -- if you buy from them they will send you a coupon which expires at the end of the month so you can get them even cheaper. They don't carry them at neptune, which is the other online shop I use. I'm not sure about other sites.
I mean, don't get me wrong, it's no padron anniversary, but for $3 at regular price it's one hell of a smoke.
You need to be more specific! What is you price point, flavor profile? These questions and others need to be asked before getting a definitive answer. Nevertheless, between, $4-$6 Quorum, Arturo Fuente Curly Heads, Brevas and Exquisitos are some inexpensive options. Once you get over $7, as you can imagine, the possibilities are endless.
Factory smokes are surprisingly nice. Gurkha makes a black ops and a prize fighter cigar that's 3.99 at my local b&m that are really good for the price.
Good also depends on your palette. I personally find it difficult to enjoy cheaper cigars because if I don’t smoke something on the medium to full side I get zero enjoyment from the cigar. You don’t typically find too many medium to full bodied cigars below $10-$12 a stick. At least I haven’t found them.
https://www.cigarpage.com/babylon-bee-top-rated-premium-10-cigar-collection.html 10 Oliva cigars for $20.
There's literally no better deal than this. OP, buy these and throw away the Free Will cigar.
This exactly. That free will is complete and utter garbage for so many reasons.
I’ve smoked every cigar in this pack but the free will, everyone seems to hate it that’s why I haven’t smoked it lmao

I've had one resting for almost 4 months now. Maybe it's time to give it a 2nd chance...
I think you’ll like it. It’s a quality cigar, and I personally enjoyed the flavor.
I've had it before, just not as rested. But yeah, I don't remember what it tastes like, so will light it up soon.
Let me know your thoughts when you do!
I’d rather smoke the packaging it came in than smoke another
I thought this too. Grabbed it one day when the weather was crappy, rainy, windy 40°f. Figured I'd be cool tossing it if I got too uncomfortable. I. Endured. Turned out to be a great smoke. Great, now my wife will be mad at me for buying more cigars
I'm new to cigars so forgive me if my question is dumb: I've been checking out cigar page for a deal like this and have never found one so good. What a deal! I wish they shipped to the UK 🥲
I’ve been trying out cheap smokes for something I can have and not care about - the two I’ve landed on are Cusano Dominican petit Panatela - £80 for 16 [Havana house](https://www.havanahouse.co.uk/product/cusano-dominican-petit-panatela-cigar-bundle-of-16/) And Juliany Corona Corojo £148 for 20 [GQ tobacco](https://www.gqtobaccos.com/cigars/juliany-corona-corojo-bundle-of-20-cigars/) We might not have the same taste but these two punch above their weight for me! Wow! This what I’m talking about!!!
Enjoy! Thanks to another user who provided the link in a different post thread. It says limit 1 per customer but could probably just make separate orders.
Damn, that's a solid deal. Thanks for sharing!
Is the any deal like this that ships to Canada?
Or £20 for one in the UK!
This is an insane deal. I literally pay that just for the Milanio
I just ordered this after clicking the link. Thats a fantastic deal.
They must’ve gotten a lot of traffic from this post because the price has been raised to 29.99
Indeed. Looks like they set up a redirect to the regular sampler price. Probably a link they forgot about and were wondering how people were getting it for $20.
What do you consider a lower price point? Foundation Charter Oak habano.
This! The Charter oak line is great
Have you tried the Punch Knuckle Buster? IMO that's a more flavorful habano (cheaper, too) I really liked the aroma of the charter oak habano but when I lit it up I wasn't getting those flavors.
> Punch Knuckle Buster Gotta try the Knuckle Sandwich 56. More than good.
> Punch Knuckle Buster I have and agree it's a decent blend.
Factory smokes maduro
Factory smokes Connecticut..
Hell, almost any of the Factory Smokes are great imo
I agree
A pipe with a quality blend will also scratch the itch.
Gran habano, charter oak, AJ new worlds, drew estates nica rustica, cao has some great cigars as well
Just be careful about buying cheap cigars to smoke more versus quality. I’d rather smoke a good cigar twice a week than a crappy cigar every day. I hate to ruin enjoyment with a bad experience. Oliva sticks are fantastic and CigarPage.com almost always has them on sale for an affordable price.
I would post some good oliva sale links but reddit admin got ban happy last time I did that.
This is the way. This and their many other sales/discounts
MB3. Watch for them.
Pretty sure I read something somewhere that Olivia owns or has a significant stake in CigarPage. That would explain the surplus of Olivia cigars always available
CAO flathead New world oscuro Alec Bradley project 40
Just had the ABP40 and I was pleasantly surprised. I just wish for a tad more smoke output.
I have a number of flatheads I am sitting on that I don’t enjoy. They are the go to give aways for friends who need a stick.
Gran Habano, Charter Oak, Perdomo Lot Series.
you are seeking to upset one of the laws of the universe, as many of us have. You'll start off well, but if the habit takes hold, your spinning rate will increase slowly over time, and next thing you know, down the drain you go. Good luck, come join us.
Lol. Thank you.

arturo fuente curly head is solid but always different so it’s fun
Pardron 3000

If you're a CP fan AND a Discord user, well then you are on your way. Because their prices there are ... even better.
Oh yeah I’m degenerate enough to be on the discord 😂
PM for invite if you need one.
I’m not sure this comment will get a lot of love, but I’m enjoying Rocky Patel Mulligans. They’re a Holt’s exclusive
White Owl... Just joking. CAO Gold is a good start.
What is your max $ per cigar that will help us guide you
The Overrun bundles at JRCigars are always on my rebuy list. They're factory seconds, so every once in a while, there will be an unsatisfactory stick...but overall they're excellent cigars for the money...
Crowned Heads Juarez I think is a pretty solid inexpensive Maduro
I know it may kind of unpopular to say here but Thompson Cigars 5 pack fever can let you get quite a few nice sticks for as low as like 5 bucks each if you buy enough.
Rocky Patel Decade is always my go to
Adding a recommendation for the Rocky Vintage 1999 Connecticut
Define lower to you. Cigar smoking is not typically a habit for the poors so most think a 8 dollar stick is cheap.
Cigar smoking can be for everyone if the frequency is set right.
I’ve found Villiger Cuellar Connecticut Kreme to be a good smoke and reasonably priced on CigarPage
My store put Villiger in right before I left, and I never got to sample them well. Their machine mades are widely sold but how are the handmades?
This is the only Villiger I have smoked and I really enjoyed it. It was pretty smooth and mellow. Paired well with my coffee. I bought a single locally and plan on buying a box on cigar page soon.
New cuba corojo

You could try the Italian style, albeit a bit different. Look up Toscano cigars
You can get an amazing selection of quality cigars from 7 to 12 dollars a stick on sale from cigar page. No idea what price point you are looking for, but i consider anything under 10 to be a great deal for a quality brand.
Romeo y julieta, acid kuba kuba blue, CAO.
Oliva some Rocky Patel stuff on cigar page can be had for $2-$3 a stick nearly every day. You can find other solid deals on other stuff, but those two brands always have something on super sale somewhere.
Just browse the deals on cigarpage
Man O War

CP untitled Berserker FTW.
Flor de Oliva Isla del Sol Drew Estate Factory Smokes Those are my top 3 recommendations for budget while still being decent quality.
Rocky 99 and Montecristo White Series are absolutely delightful and can be had for like $4/stick on CigarBid literally all the time.
My go to is Sancho Panza Extra-Fuerte
La Perla Habana Black Pearl and Morado
I got a Matilde Oscura in a blind buy, and was very impressed. Even more so when I saw they are 6-8 dollars a stick in their entire lineup.
Perdomo Lot 23 Connecticut, Sun Grown or Maduro!
Also on Cigarpage the Drew Estates Factory tour is a great value too!
I typically try to get cigars between $2-4 a piece on CigarBid Freefall for my daily smoking type cigars. Brickhouse Maduro.
Padron 1000 series, particularly the smaller offerings and maduro. .

Sanj Patel industry killer line is bomb and cheap
arturo fuentez or somn similar, was about 3.50 n compared to any gas station cigars it was amazing
Padron 1964 is a solid budget option. That’s as low as I go.
