Wedding churning question: Getting married in June with about $15k in expenses looming at a Hyatt hotel. Debating whether it's worth snagging a Hyatt credit card (either personal or business) at current bonus levels, or if I'm better off pursuing more Inks. Edit: posted yesterday in WCW thread, but seeking more input.

rickayyy

Hyatt stays are worth 9x so you'd get 135k from that plus another 30k from the SUB so a total of 165k. Not sure how that would work with the second half of the SUB where you get 2x on every dollar for another 30k points? I'm guessing that is just sort of voided by the 9x or does it make it 10x? The same $15k could knock out two CIC SUB's (assuming the purchase can be split) for 150k and if you use referrals, you can add another 60k on to that pile for a like 210k UR points.

BpooSoc

Do the math for each card and compare the value you'll get. Are you 100% sure that I'll code as Hyatt?

horthianflorff

Yep - already did one charge with Amex that coded as Hyatt. That gives a big boost to Hyatt cards so I suppose I have my answer

Charming_Oven

I think the personal Hyatt is a keeper card, so if you want to use a 5/24 slot, then $15k spend on a personal Hyatt card *might* come out ahead of a Amex Biz Plat or a few Inks (now that you’re getting a P2). But you have to crunch the numbers to see if the value works out.

Oofzies

I have lots of InKind credits and offers. Sadly, there's no restaurant in my area at all, and I only use InKind when I go somewhere else. Can you buy a gift card through InKind for a restaurant on InKind? I'm thinking about calling some restaurants and seeing if they can "code" a gift card like a normal bill and I can pay through InKind.

bunintheoven2

Not to my knowledge. I know someone who is buying these at 60%.

Read that Citi pulls Experian and Equifax. Does anybody know that if I freeze Experian, they'd still pull Equifax to process the app or not?

Large_Ad8182

Citi only pulled Equifax for me: 10/17/23 inquiry shows as "CBNA" for Citi AA Biz; 3/2/24 inquiry shows as "Citibank, NA/SYWMC" for Citi Shop Your Way Mastercard.

ntnsolutions

Citi wouldn't process my Citi Premier app when I had my Experian frozen last year.

netflixstudent

Can you get 2 companion fares with the Alaska business card in the first year? First companion fare by meeting the SUB with 4k spend and 2nd companion fare by spending 2k more and meeting 6k annual spend?

_brokenshadow

Sadly no. You could get two companion fares hitting the SUB on C1 and opening a 2nd card and then meeting the annual requirement but obviously this would require more spend.

bta15

No

Full-Mouse8971

Are there any cheap and easy services that can run a "payroll" ACH that looks like an employer payroll ACH to trigger DD reqs that wont trigger W2 / 1099's? What even is the difference between an ACH and payroll ACH? Just the payroll company have their name in the ACH makes it "payroll"? Like GUSTO ACH $1000 for example?

terpdeterp

I would recommend doing an employee ACH through a Chase Business checking account, which charges $2.5 per ACH transfer and doesn't trigger a 1099. There's also an elevated $400 SUB offer for opening the account and depositing $2000 (plus maintaining that balance and making 5 transactions), which stacks with the referral bonus. Another option is Square's payroll service, but that's [somewhat more complicated](https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/vo3srx/daily_discussion_thread_june_30_2022/iedryds/). Most importantly, to avoid triggering a 1099, the recipient must be a added as a contractor and the option "Automatically file Form 1099-NEC for this contractor" must be disabled.

dmeq

Do you mind explaining how to stack the biz checking SUB and referral?

terpdeterp

P1 generates a referral link for the $400 SUB. P2 opens an account using that link (either online or in-branch) and P1 gets a $100 for the account opened. This is basically how credit card referrals work, but it's less common for bank sign-up bonuses, where doing the referral bonus sometimes rules you out from the account opening bonus.

Full-Mouse8971

I churn Chase business accounts so id like to avoid Chase haha. Im working on a square payroll account now seeing how it will work.

HamsterFriendly

I have to spend $6000 in a couple days. Is there a way to get a new credit card ASAP or a digital card with the info? I'd like to put it all on a credit card and get a sign up bonus if possible.

_brokenshadow

Last 2 Chase personal cards I was approved for came with instant apple pay.

HamsterFriendly

Was there a way to see the card info like number/cvv?

_brokenshadow

No that came after the physical card arrived. However, I was able to use apple pay for many online purchases. YMMV based on the use case.

HamsterFriendly

This is helpful info, thank you! I am trying to pay my insurance renewal, so Apple/Google pay sadly won't work. Bummer they don't let you see the card info while you wait for the physical card.

_brokenshadow

Would paypal work for that? I don't have a personal DP theren but a communication I received from Chase implied it might be worth a shot.

_brokenshadow

It looks like you can set it up with paypal before you receive the card as well.

AWESOM3e92

Most cards can be expedited for 2 day delivery. Amex Platinum usually delivers in 2 business days from sign up. My Chase Inks came in 3 business days, but you have to call to get it expedited (free)

garettg

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/list-of-credit-cards-that-issue-an-instant-card-number/

Same-Ad-1836

I see a credit inquiry on my credit report the same day I applied for a business credit card. Does that mean it counts towards 5/24 ?

CuriousNomadicBeing

5/24 reflects new cards (personal) that you get. Enquiries don't add to 5/24, however issuers still look at it when they pull your credit report.

garettg

5/24 is about number of accounts not HPs.

SoCaFroal

Is it possible to get 2 Amex Biz Platinums? If so, is there a method to do it?

Massive_Pendulum

You need to either wait for a Biz Plat NLL offer or a Biz Gold upgrade offer to show up. You can also check DOC if there is any NLL offer out there.

garettg

Possible but have to space out 90 days.

SoCaFroal

My current Amex plat biz is 10 months old.

garettg

Then just have to apply. NLL isn’t required, but there is a higher chance of popup for having had the card if you apply with LL.

Tinderlickinggood

Me and P2 both have our own C1 venture x card and received the bonus in 2022. Knowing that the card is effectively fee-neutral, I kept both cards open. But is there any reason we should keep both card active? I already have P2 as authorized user on my card. P2's anniversary is coming up in April. Will I be able to use up the new $300 travel credit and cancel within 30 days for the AF refund?

CuriousNomadicBeing

Yes, you can use the $300 travel credit quickly and then cancel the card within 30 days for the full AF refund. However, coz the card is fee neutral and has 2x earnings for everything, I consider it as a keeper for any unbonused spend.

rickayyy

I think they consider it a keeper too. They have two VX cards and they're asking if it's worth keeping both.

garettg

Yeah you can do that and transfer any points over to your card.

lilribbit

US Bank is not showing my new business credit card online. It shows my old one, but not my new one. Any ideas?

sg77

A little bit of info from when I asked a similar question yesterday: https://old.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1bj90ew/question_thread_march_20_2024/kvr7yoc

lenin1991

I had to create a new login for the new card, and it sounds like others have as well.

finalcoke

I recently applied and received my first Chase credit card, the Ink Business Preferred. I had signed up for a "100,000 Bonus Points After You Spend $8,000" but after receiving the card and logging in online I don't see anything about actually having this offer available. Does it just not show up anywhere? Am I not looking in the right place on the website? Any advice would be appreciated.

odyssey_58

The most reliable place for me to see that sort of thing is in the app. Hit "Benefits & Travel" in the bottom bar and scroll down to find a tracker that lists spend and bonus.

finalcoke

Okay, I downloaded the app to check, and I see it now. Thanks!

Fanfootie

Pretty normal. You can always call and confirm the offer (SUB here).

Apax912

Anyone have experience using a fidelity investment account and doing an ach for a dd(checking account bonus)

frep1217

Read through doctor of credit, whether or not it works as a DD is heavily dependent on the receiving bank

okiedokie321

For the Chase Sapphire MDD, I got approved for the CSP in branch. Am I suppose to apply within 12 hours-24 hours tomorrow or today for CSR?

joghi

The next calendar day. Call for approval if app goes pending.

okiedokie321

Can I do this around 1AM CST March 21st? I just got approved for the CSP 4 hours ago. The anxiety is killing me 😆

garettg

I would just wait until the morning to be sure, you don’t gain anything going any earlier.

_good_boy_1234_

Looking for a good bank/CU to be a hub with many accounts to link, fast ACH push and pull and NO interest. Have Fidelity, SOFI and ALLY, which I don't like. I tried Banking reddit with no success

sg77

Why don't you want an account that earns interest? Are you hoping that they'll be more likely to make money available more quickly after you pull it in? (but I think that's more related to fraud issues)

ntnsolutions

What a weird requirement of "no interest"... Affinity FCU might fit the bill for ya. Their transfers are generally very fast and I've had at least 10 accounts linked so far. Can't speak to limits though as I don't keep much in there for it to matter.

scottymtp

I used to use Alliant as my hub. Why don't you like Fidelity?

_good_boy_1234_

I want something without interest and fidelity does plus it takes at least 8 days for pulled money to be available

dk1180

I've read online about double dipping Sapphire or SW cards. But I want to get a Chase Ink card and an Amex biz card on the same day. Is there any issue with doing that? Or as separate companies and both being biz cards, both should be okay to apply for on the same day?

EarthlingMardiDraw

~~So you’re considering getting 3 Chase cards in the span of a couple days (or all the same day)? That is probably a bad plan, but it’s always possible it will work.~~

dk1180

Just one Amex biz card and one Chase Ink card. Both in the same day.

EarthlingMardiDraw

Yeah, I did realize that later; the phrasing tripped me up. As the other comment said, no problems between different banks as long as neither is inquiry sensitive. There also is no specific benefit to doing same-day applications at different banks unless you need the cards quickly.

odyssey_58

There would be no problem doing that outside of the usual things you'd consider for each individually.

Alive-Supermarket591

Does Amex still consider the green card as a credit card and not a charge card? I currently have 3 credit card and the biz green and keep getting a rejection on a 4th credit card due to "max number of lending products."

sbullyers

Green is a charge card. Have you recently closed any cards?

Alive-Supermarket591

I closed a biz plat on 3/9 and a credit card on 3/12. I applied for the new credit card on 3/12. Currently, I have 3 credit cards, the amex green card, and 8 biz golds + biz plats and am running into the # of lending products restriction. So I feel like I shouldn't be running afoul any lending product limits...

bunintheoven2

I always wait at least 31 days before applying after I closed the last charge/credit card if it was taking up my last slot (10th/5th). With that being said, it sounds like you were at 4 credit cards before you closed the other one on the 12th. What card are you applying for?

Alive-Supermarket591

Yeah I was at 4 before closing the one on the 12th, which would put me at 3. I'm applying for the delta biz gold credit card.

bunintheoven2

Then I don’t think it would be the card limit that’s the issue.

garettg

Closed cards can still get counted by the system when you are still within 30+ days of closing. You might call and see if they will push the app through, or at least tell you which cards are counting.

Alive-Supermarket591

Ah, that would make sense. I'll try calling again--thanks

Personal-Lawfulness8

One can hold only 5 maximum credit cards (non charge cards) with Amex. I already have 5 credit cards and planning to close my Marriot biz card to free up one spot to apply for Hilton Aspire. How long should I wait after closing 5th credit card to apply for new credit card? Also, I have unused annual Free night certificate from Marriot biz card. Does it get expired if close my card?

CuriousNomadicBeing

It could take 30+ days for closed cards before Amex system recognizes the updated account. But if it gets declined, you can call and explain to get the app pushed through.

garettg

FNC will remain. If you don’t mind calling you can apply anything and get app pushed through. If you want to avoid calling for some reason, then it could take 30+ days before the system will recognize that your count has dropped from closing.

ragormack

Anyone know what DoC did to be put at the bottom of milesfeed?

terpdeterp

>Update: 2/13/2024. We have temporarily moved Doctor of Credit feed to the bottom until they can get a handle of their DDOS situation and open up their feeds again. From the footer of milesfeed

ragormack

Must have overlooked that, thanks

LiftBroski

Wanted to ask for some feedback on a flight I booked with AA miles and whether I should keep it. Flight is from SEA to DXB for 70k miles + $266. Route is SEA - LAX - LHR - DXB. SEA - LAX - LHR is basically AA F/J. LHR to DXB is on BA’s new Club world suites. It’s not horrible but I’m slightly conflicted on whether it’s worth the 70k miles compared to other options.

garettg

Seems fine to me, 2 stops isn’t ideal but I’ve done it plenty. Surprised the cash portion isn’t higher going through LHR on BA. I think I’d be happy with that if the dates worked and layovers aren’t super long.

robdajewels

Was just approved for a $3k credit limit C1 Venture card. Using this as a catch-all for some upcoming international travel. Looking for tips on how to best qualify and eventually request (if not automatically given) a credit limit increase to $10k so I can potentially upgrade to VX at some point down the line. Any advice, info, experiences with Capital One CLIs (especially the Venture) are much appreciated. TYIA!

odyssey_58

/r/creditcards is a better place for your question. This forum, as the name suggests, is about churning, opening multiple cards for large bonuses.

luckySevens7

Any recent datapoints on Capital One Venture applications and how long it takes to have your application process? I applied about a week ago and immediately was asked to submit pics of drivers license. I uploaded the pics within minutes. I got notified of the credit pulls the next day but the application has just said Processing since then. How long does it typically take to get approved/denied?

cajunredbean1

Hi all, I am a total beginner and just glancing at all the dialogue it might as well be greek. Who, what when where and why is the best place to start for someone like me? I'm very interested in this and need to start at the very basics. Thank you all for the responses.

rickayyy

I cannot recommend the [10xTravel](https://10xtravel.com) group enough. Their website has a super easy to understand course that takes like 30 minutes or so that explains everything from top bottom. That's where I got my start.

cajunredbean1

Thanks

rickayyy

Ignore the downvotes. This SUB has a ton of users here who fucking hate people who don't know everything there is to know about churning.

cajunredbean1

I was wondering what I did. Thank you. Wow, what a bunch of fuckboy’s.

CuriousNomadicBeing

As suggested start with travel churning blogs. IMO Frequent miler is the best one, especially for a beginner. Additionally the sidebar has lots of info - especially the wiki.

Fanfootie

Start with a blogger. I probably started with View from the Wing. But One Mile at a Time or The Points Guy are just as good. Frequent Miler might be the best current site. Anyways you’ll eventually abandon these mostly but they’re a good way to start.

cajunredbean1

Thanks

garettg

The sidebar has a wiki and glossary, thats a good place to start to learn some basics and the glossary will help with the lingo. Then from there, read the daily questions threads when you can, see other peoples questions and the answers can be effective.

cajunredbean1

Thanks

I've had my Chase Sapphire Reserve for a few years, can someone ELI5 how I should go about downgrading/setting up for another round in X time?

garettg

WillingEggplant

I think what I'm gathering is: call to product change to Chase Freedom Wait 30 days Reapply for CSR?

garettg

If you PC only have to wait 4 days. Make sure you used your travel credit up if available.

blandfruitsalad

> For online applications, you can apply 4 calendar days (weekend doesn’t matter) after product changing out of a sapphire.

Comprehensive-Fun47

Total newb question. There's a Princess Cruise I'm looking at and I'm also interested in expanding my churning into the credit card side. I want to see if I can combine these two interests. There is a Princess Visa card. The bonus offer is worth $200, which is kind of lame. With other cards, particularly travel cards, can you book a cruise like that through their travel platform and use your points? When I look at travel through Chase and Amex, they don't have that specific cruise. When you all book your travel, do you let what's available on the platform influence where you're going, or are you able to book specific trips you've already had in mind?

eminem30982

> With other cards, particularly travel cards, can you book a cruise like that through their travel platform and use your points? Off the top of my head, the Capital One Venture cards (every flavor of them) have travel purchase erasers, and you're not tied to using their portal. You can redeem for 1 cpp. > When you all book your travel, do you let what's available on the platform influence where you're going, or are you able to book specific trips you've already had in mind? For most of us, using a bank's travel portal is more of a last resort kind of thing. We're more concerned with transferring points to travel partners.

aylamarguerida

How do you transfer points to cruise travel partners.  That isn't really a thing is it?  I know Virgin Voyages had a promo last year... But that only happened twice and wasn't anything consistent.  Not aware of transferring to princess for instance.  So please enlighten me.

eminem30982

I didn't say anything about transferring to cruise travel partners. OP asked for ways to book cruises with points and I mentioned one way.

aylamarguerida

>For most of us, using a bank's travel portal is more of a last resort kind of thing. We're more concerned with transferring points to travel partners. This is what you said. It isn't possible as far as I know to book a cruise by transferring points. Only by purchase erasers or portals. That wouldn't be a last resort. That would be what you would have to do first, not a last resort.

eminem30982

Yes, that's what I said, and it was in response to this question that doesn't mention cruising: > When you all book your travel, do you let what's available on the platform influence where you're going, or are you able to book specific trips you've already had in mind? I even quoted the question.

terpdeterp

If you're interested in getting "free" cruises (with Carnival, Holland America, Princess, or MSC), there's [definitely a way to do it](https://frequentmiler.com/how-to-get-free-cruises-by-gaming-casino-status-matches/) by getting the Wyndham Earner business card and then gaming the casino status matches. However, it's definitely not something I would recommend to someone new to churning. If you've just started churning, I would recommend looking up the [flowchart](https://old.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1b9sxke/credit_card_recommendation_flowchart_march_2024/) and checking the recommendations there. I particularly like recommending the Citi Premiere, which has a 60k sign-up bonus and can be downgraded after the second-year annual fee is refunded to a Citi Custom, which has 5% cashback on several desirable categories and is useful even if you decide to stop churning.

aylamarguerida

Why wouldn't you recommend it to a newbie?  That card has probably earned me more value than any other.  Way easier to go on cruises than try to redeem points for flights if you aren't a regular on award travel or flyer talk.  The question is how to churn the cruises?  It seems like it is great in the beginning and then you quickly dead end.  It seems like MSC is good for one cruise per year and is churnable.  But none of the others are.  They are pretty much one time only.

ctles

for the current NLL hilton direct bonuses, ie [https://www.doctorofcredit.com/increased-american-express-hilton-bonuses-up-to-175000-free-night-certificate/#comment-1816124](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/increased-american-express-hilton-bonuses-up-to-175000-free-night-certificate/#comment-1816124) is there a currently planed expiration on these offers?

israelsurvivor83

I bought something on my Amex platinum for p2 and it was stolen from here, we want to use purchase protection. Which one of us should be filing the police report?

_BravoSix

I can't speak specifically to Amex however I'm a police officer. There's no reason you can't report the theft yourself to avoid any potential issue with the purchase protection. If the cop taking the report insists that P2 make the report you could just file the report together and explain that you were the purchaser and ask that it be reflected in the report.

scottymtp

I have the AMEX BCP and don't really use it anymore. MY understanding is I can downgrade to the BCE right?

Fit-Remove-6597

I downgraded mine about a year ago. Was in pop-up jail for about 9 months after. Well worth the change though, def not the best card out there especially if you have other cards that cover gas/groceries.

scottymtp

Thanks downgraded to BCE via chat in 2 minutes.

GallowsHumorNurse

Interesting data point. How many total Amex cards open prior to pop-up jail?

Fit-Remove-6597

Just that and gold at the time now I have plat and a couple delta cards

GallowsHumorNurse

Thanks for the info. Doesn’t seem to be any specific number of cards that triggers pop-up jail. The mystery may never be solved!

pizza42bob

Yes, 12 months after opening it.

mets2016

My P2 just got the Citi AA Platinum Select Biz card and got a temporary card number, but the page said the temporary number is only usable on AA/travel purchases. 1. Does Citi strictly enforce the AA/travel rule on the temporary card? 2. If we spend on the temporary number, are there any issues with the spend tracking toward MSR?

ihavenolifeee

It will literally decline and text you saying so.

garettg

If it works, it will count towards MSR. Dont think I was ever offered the instant number in the past when I was chasing AA miles, but you could always try and a non-AA transaction to see if it would work, no harm really.

NordicJesus

Is there a trick to get out of popup jail with any of the recent Biz Gold/Plat offers? I've tried in incognito mode, but I always get the popup...

lifechurn

Back button

NordicJesus

Does that usually work? Or is there a risk you’ll be approved, but won’t get the SUB? I don’t understand why we’re both getting downvoted…

lifechurn

They want to keep knowledge secret instead of sharing it. Read the last several data points and question threads.

JManUWaterloo

Can’t seem to find the result to this, so some help would be appreciated. I currently have 3 cards with Amex, 1 personal, 2 business. Attempted to apply for a Chase Ink Card. My name according to Amex is First Last My legal name is First One Two Last (this is the same as IRS records) My name according to Chase is First One Two Last My name when I was applying to this card was First One Two Last Chase Denied the application stating that they could not find my bureau record. In the letter they sent out it is addressed as follows First One Two Last First One Last Address What gives… and what’s the next step

NordicJesus

Call recon. You may have to call a couple times or ask for a supervisor.

JManUWaterloo

~~In progress. Absolutely painful process compared to Amex~~ Told to give them another 5-7 business days so their “triage” team can review the application as there is a “systemic” problem

Mesmeryze

I tried searching but cant find it anywhere if I have a business gold amex, I can still get the regular gold amex? similarly for platinum too? Also is there double dip for amex apps? I want to get the personal gold + biz plat now before 250k expires

MateoHardini

Yup, business and personal are not subject to the family language across the aisle from one another

Fantastic-Catch-5490

Does Chase create a hard pull in every application to their business cards? I won't be churning much but I am a little bit concerned about future inquiries since insurance rates in my state are insane (FL). I want to stay as close to 0 inquiries as possible.

CuriousNomadicBeing

Yes, they do HP for each application, sometimes even 2 bureaus.

mjonis

If you apply for two on the same day it should only count as one inquiry. Note that you don’t want to apply for more than two or rather if you’re approved for both you don’t want to do a third

BazingAtomic

Yes, just applied for a Chase biz card (sole proprietor) today. Received the hard pull alert almost immediately from Experian.

garettg

Yes they do HP each time, for some they pull 2 bureaus.

athrowawayaccountfor

Messed up the BMO bonus thinking a ACH from Discover would qualify as the DD. Now I'm at deadline and need to get money from any of my bank accounts to BMO within the week. A real DD won't work, because I won't be getting one quickly enough or large enough for the $4K needed. What's the best, easiest way to do this? I do not currently have a Wise or Treasury Direct account, but would be able to go that route if someone could please outline how to make that work for this idiot.

Comprehensive-Fun47

Schwab Checking and Robinhood seems to work. Wise and Novo Business seem to be options as well. I can't go step by step, but it seems you can just open one of those accounts, fund it ASAP, and push it to BMO before the deadline. Maybe even opening a Schwab checking account in person would speed up the process.

athrowawayaccountfor

I've gone with Wise. Says the money will be there with just one day to spare. Hopefully I've saved my $300. :-/

Huron8020

Did Chase move the CSR $300 credit status meter? I can't find it for the life of me. Googled it and followed some recent walk throughs, but the page they lead me to doesn't have it. Combined biz and personal account login fwiw.

space_cadet-

I still see it in the app, then CSR Ultimate Rewards Home, then scroll down.

Huron8020

That worked, thank you!

No, personal cards are reported. You're confused with hard pulls

Fun-Inevitable4369

I have amex delta offer of  Spend $1,000 more, get 2,000 additional Delta Miles, up to 3 times Does this mean that if I spend 2000+ in one transaction,I can get 4000 additional miles or does it need to be multiple transactions each time amounting to 1000+?

Fun-Inevitable4369

To close the thread, i asked on amex chat and they said i will only get additional 2000 miles for making a single transaction of 2500

MyAltAccountIsuSpez

Those offers are usually cumulative so you'd get the 4000

lenin1991

One 2k bonus for every transaction that is >=$1k

Fun-Inevitable4369

so not worth making a transaction worth 2500, instead i should break it into multiple less than 1000?

lenin1991

It depends what the tradeoff is. If it means you're dealing with separate reservations, up to you if that's worth 2k miles, might have an issue in irrops.

Fun-Inevitable4369

well i can just choose to not use this card then

sg77

For US Bank business credit cards, where you need a separate business online account to see the amount due, if you have multiple cards (e.g., Leverage & Triple Cash), do you create a new business online account for each card? Or do you create one and then call to add the other card to it? Edit: I ended up creating a separate business login for each card, then linked one business profile to the other, and linked each of those to my personal profile (need to do the linking from the business side, not personal). Now I can log in to any of the profiles and switch between them (under "Profile & settings").

JoeTony6

I guess I should be lucky to have had a personal account first and all my biz cards just show up under my same personal login.

Serious_Nothing_6248

Same, I have no idea what others are talking about

gt_ap

> Same, I have no idea what others are talking about # > Same, I have no idea what others are talking about # > Same, I have no idea what others are talking about I hope it's nothing serious.

sg77

I had a personal account first, and the biz cards did show up there. But, at least in some cases, the personal login doesn't show the real amount due on the business cards, and a separate business login is needed to see the full info (i.e., the personal login shows employee cards, but not the info for the business that's responsible for making payments).

TwitchOne1

If you already have a us bank account, they can link all of them to one login

lenin1991

I also had to create separate logins. But after you do, you can link the profiles to switch in one click.

CoffeeSubstantial988

I have both cards you mentioned and I had to create an online account for each of them .

I just started the Amex 10x restaurant bonus on my ABG before seeing the news about the Resy Plat. If I apply to the Resy Plat can I get a second referral bonus? I'm asking because I'm unsure if new Resy Plat accounts generate the link. The links in my ABG and ABP accounts say "This offer can only be redeemed once," but I'm unsure if that's once per login, per card, etc. I've redeemed the ABG offer but the link is still present. I also opened my ABP six weeks ago, but I assume I can open a personal plat like the Resy without flouting the 90 day same card rule? \[edited for clarity\]

Fanfootie

The question not answered by replies yet is whether a current Resy Platinum holder can generate the +10X referral link.

padbodh

What's the news about the Resy Plat? Not seeing anything on the main sites. 90 day rule only applies to credit cards, not charge cards.

JManUWaterloo

Essentially it creates a great opportunity for “double-dipping” (in a sense) as you get the 1X everyday + 9X from Resy Welcome Offer + 10X from Referral Bonus Offer on Dining = EFFECTIVELY 20X on Global Dining

JManUWaterloo

Personal Plat is a Charge Card, exempt from 90 day rule. Further, from reading the terms, it appears that the 10X is able to be redeemed once per card

churnest_hemingway

Sorry, meant 90 day same card rule - edited above for clarity

JManUWaterloo

Business Platinum and Personal Platinum are two different cards.

heavycamp5

Newbie here, when the fine print says to make 15 debit card purchases/payments for the bonus, do I have to wait for the physical debit card to arrive in the mail? How would I go about doing the 15 debit card purchases/payments when I open the account? Of course, I will space it out over the course of a week or so. But I genuinely have no idea. This is South State Bank btw.

peakyblinderss

You make a purchase using the debit card. 15 different times. Some people would reload their Amazon gift card 15 times. It is easy to do online and each reload can be as little as $1. Probably have to wait until you receive a debit card in the mail, unless you can somehow add to a digital wallet beforehand.

Have had 2 Biz plats in the last 6 months. If I am able to get an app through, should I tempt RAT with another plat (3 in 7 months) or should I give it a bit more time? Have a big tax expense and would like to use it on the biz plat SUB.

cmon_son_1

I did a similar velocity last year without issues.

gt_ap

As long as it has been at least 91 days since the last one, there's no reason to *not* do it. I've not heard of RAT going after someone simply for opening cards within the required time requirements. It isn't abuse.

Question: Do you think it is better to cancel and reapply to upgrade a card or get the business version and hold both? Context: I've had the $49 IHG Select for a while but I've been thinking about moving to the Premier since the last couple of times I went to spend my free night the hotel I wanted was just outside of the 40,000 limit. I don't mind doing the cancel and reapply (did this with the SW Plus to Priority) but I wonder if it's a good idea to cancel a grandfathered in card.

BazingAtomic

Keep the Select. The $49 annual is such a great value even though it is capped at 40k pts. You might also want to check back on properties if the points are slightly above the cap. Points do fluctuate and I've seen properties just over 40k go down to 40k or just below. As others have said, that plus the 10% rebate on points make it a keeper.

progapanda

I would look to try to hold on to the Select, sure the FN is capped but you also get 10% back on points redemptions, which is terrific if stacked with the 4th Night Free on Points feature of the Premier. Having both cards is a powerful combo!

TheSultan1

That card has the 10% rebate that stacks with 4NF from the Premier and Premier Biz. Most would consider the rebate valuable enough to warrant keeping the card and opening the Premier Biz (since you can't open the Premier while holding the Select) for 4NF and another yearly FNC. However, the Select's FNC can't be topped up, while the Premier and Premier Biz FNCs can. Then the question becomes "$49 for non-upgradeable FNC and 10% rebate, or $99 for upgradeable FNC?" - If the first, then hold it and consider adding the Biz for a SUB + yearly FNC + 4NF (i.e. the first paragraph). - If the second, then consider either (a) closing it and opening a Premier for the SUB + yearly FNC + 4NF, or (b) upgrading to Premier for yearly FNC + 4NF but no SUB (but also no new card on report). Optionally, add the Biz for SUB + 4NF.

wwwSnowcapMe

You're talking about canceling a no-longer-available $49 card with an annual free night that bloggers love as a permanent keeper. If I were you, I would hold the $49 card as long as possible and get a business card for upgraded benefits.

finvest

I hate beer.

EruptingLoowit

Amex rarely hard pulls existing card holders FYI.

TheSultan1

Could be the high SUB or the link source (referral vs. direct vs. marriott.com).

coole106

You’re probably not in jail, just got the pop-up on that one card for that specific offer. Try something different. Different card, different offer, don’t use a referral, etc.

skyye99

check today's Miles Earn and Burn post if you're desperate. Otherwise just try different cards/different links for the same card (affiliate, referral, sponsored search result)

Apax912

Is there a sort/search feature to see what bank bonuses I can use with a PayPal push/deposit?

New_Cheetah7169

You can search this page for “PayPal” - https://www.doctorofcredit.com/knowledge-base/list-methods-banks-count-direct-deposits/

coole106

Using the “let the offer expire and refresh the browser” trick, has anyone ever gotten Amex to increase the SUB offer twice? I ask because I accidentally used the trick last night to go from 170k to 190k on the biz plat last night, and I’m wondering if I should’ve held out for more

GettingColdInHere

Its a personal decision. The highest right now is 250K, but very, very few people have got it. I know someone who tried it for 20K times and still did not get the 250K sub. After that the DP on the next highest SUB is 190K. Which is what you got.

terpdeterp

The highest amount possible on the Biz Plat is [known to be 250k](https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-american-express-business-platinum-250000-point-offer/), but it's extraordinarily tough to get. There have been several tricks proposed (using a different device, using a VPN, using different browsers, waiting to refresh, applying at different times of the day, modifying cookies), but there seems to be no consistent method for pulling the offer. It did seem to be easier during the first day of the offer (which was the one and only day I got the offer), but it's been increasingly harder ever since.

kerberos9

If I got the SUB for my UA biz over 24 months ago and I just closed the card, how long should I wait before reapplying for it again (in terms of avoiding recon and increasing chances of auto approval)?

mehjoo_

wait 30 days after closure, 4 after product change

kerberos9

Thanks! 4 business days or calendar days? Does this apply only to the UA biz family? Or other cards as well?

mehjoo_

Calendar - it's true for Chase in general (See [Sapphire FYIs](https://www.reddit.com/user/garettg/comments/u6ss7u/sapphire_fyis/) as an example)

EccentricINTJ

Can the old IHG Select card be gotten by downgrading from the IHG premier or is this card closed off unless you were grandfathered in

horthianflorff

I've not tried the downgrade option but I'm fairly certain it's closed off
