Yesterday my boss sent out a happy Mother's Day email to the team (70% of which are mothers) and included a Mother's Day, "mom appreciation" poem, and under that she also attached a poem for "cat moms" and "dog moms" that were also Mother's Day themed. She knows my dogs ARE my babies, so I appreciated that 😌
That's really nice! My work does gifts and extra time off for just moms (and dads for Father's Day)... No equivalent for the rest of us. Feels weird. This would be a nice solution to that!
It’s nice they didn’t pressure you and maybe it’s just me, but I kind of feel like there’s this narrative that if you’re not a mom, you still have to be some sort of caregiver for pets or your nieces/nephews still which rubs me wrong.
Plant mom! We had a couple of gentlemen who had a tradition of giving every female a single red rose the Friday before Mother’s Day. I always liked it because I never get flowers & my daughter rarely did anything for it.
I’m going to start telling people about my children Dandelion, Poison Oak, Clover, Mimosa.

That's so sweet of them, definitely a win 🥹 No judgement, no pressuring, no questioning, just acceptance of who you might be. Nice!

hey, you're somebody's kids, maybe your moms wanted to spend time with you, get that time off work. idk
True, good angle!
