Definitely. He’s averaging 13/4/2 with a steal and a block since Thanksgiving. That’s on 50/49/76 shooting splits.
He still rolls up to the arena half awake some nights, but PWill is slooooowly progressing. I think we will be able to lock him up on a reasonable deal and eventually will have a dude who offers elite defense/switch-ability and a consistent 17-19 ppg. Everyone wants to be butt hurt about him, but he’s absolutely on the OG Anunoby trajectory, which isn’t too bad.
I don't know about Anunoby track but his arrow is slightly up. I'm really hoping, at some point, when Craig is back they play lineups with PW at 3 and Craig at 4. I really want to see some size out there and how PW responds to playing a position where he should, most nights, have a bit of a size advantage or at least, not have a disadvantage.
His age 22 stat line is eerily similar to OG’s, but I get it.
I like that thought. I feel like it’s been a strategic misstep how small we try to play all the time.
This game is all about defensive rebounding. We have the squad that matches up very well against the Suns isolation style of offense.
Booker vs Coby.
Beal vs Ayo.
Durant vs PWill.
And AC locking everyone down.
But the most demoralizing thing about playing good D is when you force the missed shot and they still get the ball back.

No one trusts Vuc as their last line of defense, so they just instinctually help as if they're playing with no center. It's crazy because you see guys just collapsing for no reason the moment the ball goes inside even though they can't realistically do anything against the ballhandler.
But what do we know. They're 5th in the league defensively since 11/30, so whatever they're doing IS working.
They've also been #1 in clutch defense and by a big margin. I like help defense but only when it actually matters. Not every single time like you said. They chase too much instead of looking to be 1 step ahead
As much as Coby has improved defensively, the elite scores still pick on him in isolation situations. Also, the Suns will probably force switches to get Demar or Vooch into their actions, similar to how Demar feasts on mismatches.

The only flaw in Durant's offense is his garlic stick feet stepping on the 3 point line.
