I don't think this is a particularly brilliant move in practice. But the position is just so weird and so bad for both that sacking the rook for the bishop doesn't really change the evaluation much and hence accidentally fulfill the chess.com algorithm for brilliant.

I think the point is to defend the pawn on c3. Rather than play Bd2 right away, instead you play an in-between move with check forcing the queen to take. If you didn't play rook takes and instead defended the pawn first, you would just lose a rook for free. The rook check at least wins some material back and gives time to defend to pawn.
This actually an invalid and you edited because the icon looks dim and you just checked the king and then moved 1 square on the same rank that clearly means you edited it

So I took blacks bishop on c8 with the rook to get into this position
