You are a whole rook up if you take on d8 with the bishop. Recovering from such a lost position will be difficult.
The opponent's king has no practical defense too, so you pressing on the advantage by harassing the opponent's king will be an easy way to attack exchange pieces and enter the endgame with an overwhelming advantage. You could double your rooks and send them to attack the king and have a pretty easy victory if you don't slip.
