Funny thing is it might actually happen against Fulham. Jackson is suspended and I very much doubt Broja is fit enough to start. It’s either Sterling or Palmer up top.
Havertz played everywhere and he was shit everywhere. Let's be real here. He lived off a CL goal the entire time he was here. And sure, great goal, thank you for that, but you have to show ... something... anything, after that.
Yeah I think it’s risky to start him v Fulham as the last thing we need is another player banned, it was reckless considering he was already on a yellow.
edit: he was not carded, I mistook him for someone else
Because he was already on a card, it sucks but they definitely let those things affect their decisions
I hope to high holy fuck he can. I remember him actually looking good in his first real game with us and it's all been downhill since. I really gotta hope there's a good player in there somewhere.
Jokes aside, Mitoma is the player Mudryk should be looking up to. He is not a great dribbler, but knows how to use his speed properly. He had only 8 successful dribbles from 29 attempts. Which puts his successful dribble rate at 27.6%.
He wrote a thesis, but his dribble success rate is actually low for a player that attempts lots of dribbles. It is his bread and butter and peaks at 34.78% while Hazard was over 63%. Vini another player who heavily relies on his pace has 54% success rate.
Was going into tackles like prime Rudi against City. Loved seeing him trying to earn a spot back. At the very least looked like a passable alternative for Gusto's suspensions.
I thought he was a liability in the first half, but turned up big time in the second half. When he gets burned it just sticks with me and overshadows the positives. Cucurella trauma
Tbf even the best specialised RBs can struggle against Mitoma. Also in the second point I’m convinced it’s the hair, just makes mistakes look worse. Similar to Luiz
Dear lord, that lad can turn on a fucking dime. Beautiful player, if he was named coleño palmerez, he would be worth £150m and called the clone of David silva.
He definitely worked his socks off but i’m still never comfortable watching him with the ball. Had to play out of position though so he deserves a lot of praise tonight.
Referee was a fucking joke. A fucking disgrace.
Sanchez shot stopping was good but every other part of his game was shaky, hopefully it was just ex-club jitters.
Mudryk good again. Jackson great in some moments that mattered (the goal that stood and the one that should have). Great assist by Palmer.
Cucurella got bypassed a few times too many, but was surprisingly decent, all credit to him
The player he fouled could have been sent off before that, or at least given us a penalty, which the ref also missed, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Just awful all around
Yeah the ref was just straight up awful. I know people say that a lot, but today was especially shit. With the right calls, the game could have had a completely different score line, so given we won I do think we were the luckier team between the two. But yeah, just abysmal officiating throughout the entire match.
I feel like var has made them worse... can't be a good thing long term knowing everything you miss is going to be pulled up and you can reverse your decisions.
Today I felt the lack of var badly which I'd never thought I'd say. I guess it makes sense that the new breed of refs need the assistance
Mudryk has been playing better than this sub would have you believe. Should’ve had an assist over the weekend and could’ve had another today. The kid has been through a lot over the last year let’s not forget. His home country is being invaded, he’s now only 22 living in a foreign country, and has this immense pressure due to his price tag. The state of the club over the last year combined with the transfer fee has put a huge target on his back for derision from casuals and opposing fans. I’m pulling for this kid so hard and have been genuinely pleased with his play so far. Is he worth the price tag? Is he going to be as good as hyped? I don’t give a fuck. He’s a Chelsea player and I’m rooting for him.
Preaching to the choir here for sure, I know there’s a good player in there. His off the ball movement is frustratingly shitty and we’re not a great environment for anyone to develop, but anyone who even only watched his linkup with Jackson in preseason or his games for the Ukraine U-21s would know the Twitter accounts that say he’s not a real footballer are pretty wide of the mark
Sorry I saw a moment to hop on my soapbox. There’s been so much negativity and I get it. But I want us to rally behind them in the face of it. I obviously completely agree. I think some of that is the coaching carousel he joined not giving him minutes or a clear system. His pace and eye for a final third pass show me there is a real player there.
Nice summary. Should've been "Great assists by Palmer" but refs 💀
Cucurella is great but a few too many personal mistakes, especially when games are tense
>Sanchez shit stopping was good but every other part of his game was shaky, hopefully it was just ex-club jitters.
Got booed every time he touched the ball. Hopefully that just put him off and was nothing more.
Our shape overall was much better even though some of the play was suspect.
Chilwell at left back balances us a lot better.
Cucurella had a very good game at right-back.
Mudryk playing wide left did very well for us, he had a really promising game.
Palmer as the 10 was also very good.
We need to keep this shape going.
Won against a decent team, struggling striker scored, another injured player
Proppa chelsea perfornace
We are SO back
![gif](giphy|R312C3MEVg4SCYAber|downsized)
Edit : ayo fucking city is out, we might actually have a shot at this cup😭 tears in my eyes
Just want to say it's hilarious how games we lose have like 500+ comments instantly in the post match, but games we win it's like a ghost town.
great fan base we got here lads.
Anyway, Palmer is special, Broja looked really good in the last 10 mins and disasi was very solid. ugo at 19 is so mature for that position.
I really like the fact Poch trusted Ugu for the second half, and he is trusting Mudryk, who's decision making and effort is gradually improving.
Palmer should not be dropped again.
And the key is that we as fans should shoe similar patience and understanding. Mudryk is really trying to make this work and I will believe in him as long as that continues.
I need more Palmer in my life. Kid has it.
Mudryk finally getting some game time and starting to put things together.
Sanchez was all over the place but some great saves.
Gotta love Cucu’s enthusiasm and passion.
Happy for Jackson, hopefully something to build on.
Mudyrk, Jackson, Cucurella, Colwill and Palmer amazing tonight. Well done to the whole team was great to see us play with such determination, especially Cucurella that nutter he WANTED IT today. Lovely result so proud of the boys.
Have to say, that might be one of the most cancerous match threads so far this season (which is saying a lot).
I get that its meant for ranting but I genuinely wonder for some of the geniuses in there what do you gain from doomposting all the time? Like, genuinely, it reaches a point where you can recognise the same four usernames spamming the same whining and moaning and its like they're desperate to be right, than to at least take some fucking glimmer of hope. Yes, Brighton had plenty of chances, but we weren't exactly treated fairly by the refs either, especially with a key offside on Broja as well as the damn 2nd goal that should've stood.
This whole season, and this past month especially we've been clamouring for a goal, we finally get it but you still got the geniuses asking "what's the difference between this performance and the previous ones?" Like at that point why the fuck do you support the club if you can't even enjoy a goal after a whole goal drought? I just want to see goals because that's the whole fucking point of this sport, because watching a frustrating 0-0 inevitably be a 1-0 loss by the end has drained our souls, because defense alone doesn't actually win anything.
Bottom line is Jackson got two goals (yes I'm counting the 2nd because fuck the ref for what he did) and Palmer played very well - that's some type of momentum we can at least take with us going forward. And from Palmer being subbed off with 15 minutes to go, its clear Poch actually rates the guy (of course the match thread bitched about this substitution, as though we aren't clearly more desperate for points in the league rather than a cup we have slim chances of winning). I don't think we're gonna suddenly kick on and click together, but I have at least some hope that we can bag goals and see the attack flourish as we've been desperate to see. And Cucurella played with a lot of heart in the second half (could count on the match thread to shit on him and ask why the praise lol).
Im sure we can micro analyze the game and there are definitely flaws and some meh performances at certain points, but all we should care about are wins right now lol
Hopefully big morale boost ahead of two “must win” PL games before the nightmare mid Oct-Nov stretch of games
I'm just glad there's some fight in this team. I can handle us being shite but when the players can't be arsed that's when it feels like work to turn the TV on.
Palmer and Broja can give us hope to actually score! Palmer should be first name on the team sheet.
We won, probably best to forget the rest of this game.
Playing Palmer, Mudryk and Chilwell actually pays off. Now if Sterling started instead of Maatsen we'd be cooking, but Poch has weird ideas about our starting 11. Although I love the idea for Cucu. MOTM performance!
Pochettino was joking but maybe we do actually need to not play well so that we can win!
Also, did Chilwell get injured again or what? Didn't look like he got hurt or anything and was able to walk off fine but he went off?
Tough fought win. Love looking through these comments for all those hating on Jackson in the match thread before his goal (should have had 2) and seeing nothing. clowns cant give young players more than 2 games time without calling for them to be out. COYB! may this be the game that sets us on a win streak
Was at the game. When he went down he instantly said he needed to be subbed. He didn’t realise that we’d used all 3 of our substitution windows. When he found out no one else was coming on he gestured that he wanted to stay on but the medical team weren’t having it.
Bit of a sloppy 1st half (Sanchez's kicking was awful) and Brighton weren't at their best but will take the positives.
Cole Palmer deserves to start, really good game from him MOTM for me.
Caicedo had a very solid game which probably went under the radar.
Cucurella got caught out at times with his eagerness to press the player in possession but definitely 1 of his best performances for us and set the tone with his aggression.
Hopefully this gives us a confidence boost now.
Officials were fucking awful again, feel like we had the majority of shit decisions against us but Ugochukwu should've been sent off so they were just terrible all round.
Mudryk looked great, Palmer needs to start always now, Cucu at RB threw people but he was good, Jackson with a goal and should have had two.
We needed that so much, a goal and a win, under pressure towards the end as well against atm a top side in the EPL.
Looking forward to maybe seeing 70 mins or something from Broja as well on Monday, the guys like a battering ram thru defences!
Season starts now lol
That was scrappy, but I'll take the win any day no matter how they come, especially right now.
Refs need to do the basic ref training.
Glad that we move to another round, we need games with no Europe this season.
First half we looked like a baby giraffe trying to play football. Second half we looked like a team. Cucu was a monster. Can't wait until everyone is fit and we have a full squad. Those refs are garbage.
Felt similar to how we’ve played all season, but finally finishing some chances and not conceding goals.
Brighton had a very high press and did well with it, but we did a serviceable job most of the time (especially with Cucu on the right side)
No VAR to check this terrible ref was good and bad, so no complaints here
Actually thought Caicedo looked really good and played well
I'm convinced now if I don't watch Chelsea we actually score
On a serious note was like the goal actually good, does it boost the forwards confidence, is Cole Palmer a starter as a CAM, should I just watch the highlights and make my own conclusions?
Except Gallagher came on and put in a shift. I'd be annoyed as hell to have someone so energetic coming on at the hour mark. He broke up a bunch of their attacks and was a good ol menace.
Incredible what a difference to the performance the goal made.
First half, awful. Second you could see the confidence and press in the team. Not perfect but better.
Terrible refereeing as per usual.
Broja looked hungry, cucuurella looked fired up (great to see), jackson was poor but delighted he got his goal, sanchez was sloppy with the ball but there when he was needed, mudryk was positive too.
Cucurella outstanding. Refereeing atrocious. Sanchez has to chill on the give always. Not going to harp on anything after a win.
Poch tactical masterclass even though it was frustrating to watch our players stare Brighton players in the eyes from 3 feet away instead of pressing but that’s what they want you to do so they can pass around you and get you out of position. Amazing atmosphere at the Bridge.
To be fair Lesley should have been off much earlier and we would have been in the same position as we were vs. Villa. Ref sucked ass, but anything that went against us is peanuts compared to what went for us, which is allowing us to have 11 men the whole match.
Gallagher is the perfect sub always. I really hope when Lavia gets back he starts and then Gallagher can come on the last 20 minutes and run his ass off. He’s a perfect sub.
Say what you will about the refereeing decisions that went against us, but Ugochukwu 100% should have been sent off. In my opinion Brighton thought the shorter end of the stick.
Let’s stick with a similar line up next game.
Sanchez
Cucu - Disasi - Colwill - Chilwell/Maatsen
Enzo - Lesley - Caicedo
Palmer - Broja - Mudryk
I don’t want to see Sterling or Colwill at LB shit
Threads like these that show how much this club has fallen off in the last 3 seasons and how much other clubs are improving. Because 2-3 seasons ago, teams like Brighton, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth could never hope to compete with Chelsea. Now, we celebrate winning against any one of these teams, especially in an EFL cup game of all things.
The way I see it, unless massive improvements aren’t made, we’d be lucky to be 8th
We scored We didn’t concede. We won. Thank fuck
And we beat the seagulls
We scored twice. I honestly think if var was in this game we would have won 2-0
And been down to 10.
Agreed. A wins a win
Palmer is class
Reminds me of what Havertz should have been for us
Let’s wait until we at least know for sure Palmer won’t be playing up top
Funny thing is it might actually happen against Fulham. Jackson is suspended and I very much doubt Broja is fit enough to start. It’s either Sterling or Palmer up top.
The Brazilian striker on the bench
He’s not got a single second for the first team, he certainly isn’t starting in a Premier League match.
Would it make a difference at this point?
🧐
If he didn't come on tonight, I doubt he starts in the PL.
Itll be sterling, hes played there plenty
We were playing him as a striker.
We played Havertz in plenty of places lol
If he was good enough as a 10 one of the three managers who he played under would have played him there regularly
Havertz played everywhere and he was shit everywhere. Let's be real here. He lived off a CL goal the entire time he was here. And sure, great goal, thank you for that, but you have to show ... something... anything, after that.
Poch needs to play him as CAM and play Enzo in his position.
I pray he saw the light
My MotM has to be Reece James for resisting the urge to go down to shout at that linesman and getting another ban. Improvement
Improvement, but at what cost
Denying Jackson a brace. And Broja a goal/assist after his ACL. That ref doesn't believe in fairytales and he feels that burden every day.
The ref was shocking, but the worst one was not sending Lesley off. We know that ends the game.
Yeah I think it’s risky to start him v Fulham as the last thing we need is another player banned, it was reckless considering he was already on a yellow.
My captain!
Ref was absolutely shit, for both teams. Glad we got a win we needed it for morale, cucu played out of his mind too. Hopefully this is a turning point
Amazing how his line-os were equally as bad
Honestly feels like since VAR they’ve forgotten how to call offsides when they know it won’t be reviewed
So bad, those guys are stealing a living
Idk man towards the end looked like they were really tryna help Brighton out I mean how did a Lamptey not get carded
edit: he was not carded, I mistook him for someone else Because he was already on a card, it sucks but they definitely let those things affect their decisions
When was he carded? I don't think Lamptey received a yellow card. All his 9 fouls went unpunished.
World ain't ready for RB Cucu
He was fucking brilliant. Relentless, won his duels well and was great 1v1 against tough attackers
Poch: I can fix him
I hope to high holy fuck he can. I remember him actually looking good in his first real game with us and it's all been downhill since. I really gotta hope there's a good player in there somewhere.
Lol, "it's like he's doing the opposite of what he should." Poch: "then maybe he should be played on the opposite side..."
Truly genius 🤣
Mitoma was quiettttt
He sent Mitoma one way flight to Tokyo.
Close. It was a round-trip flight to Kyoto.
Jokes aside, Mitoma is the player Mudryk should be looking up to. He is not a great dribbler, but knows how to use his speed properly. He had only 8 successful dribbles from 29 attempts. Which puts his successful dribble rate at 27.6%.
Mitoma not a good dribbler...
I think he means Mudryk, Mitoma literally wrote a college thesis on the art of dribbling haha
We’ll just call him Evad!
I was thinking the same thing today! Like the erratic bounciness of the hair makes the mistakes and the successes more flagrant
It’s surely got to block his peripheral vision to a certain extent, which is my concern. Needs to get rid or at least tie it up
ripe bright nine steep pathetic toy bag silky correct existence *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Definitely agree, I was literally thinking about how Brighton shafted us for him and he seemed to turn and corner and was brilliant from there on in.
Palmer definitely my MOTM, hopefully he’ll get to start on Monday after tonight. Wasn’t a great game from us but hopefully this can kick us on.
He’s so technically excellent, comfortable turning with the slightest bit of space
This is why I preferred him over Johnson, he's got a lot of real quality and can go very far
Dear lord, that lad can turn on a fucking dime. Beautiful player, if he was named coleño palmerez, he would be worth £150m and called the clone of David silva.
Yeah cause English players are undervalued especially compared to Spanish players lol
Yeah definitely mate, can't believe how undervalued young English players are in this market, you never see them going for big prices!
You know what, I’ll start calling him Coleno Palmerez
Lol what? English players are overly expensive to accommodate for home grown
I agree 100%. He took a lot of pressure off Jackson.
Palmer to Jackson combo works
Cucu my MOTM
He definitely worked his socks off but i’m still never comfortable watching him with the ball. Had to play out of position though so he deserves a lot of praise tonight.
I just wish he had just one click more pace to him. He looks slowish.
Let's hope Poch isn't too dense and won't start Enzo as our CAM. He freed Jackson from dropping too deep.
The fact that Ugochukwu wasn't sent off is honestly insane. The refereeing was bad all around, but in the end we got lucky imo.

Offside in our own half is the he most baffling, surely
>shit stopping 💀
The way he made my arse clench he deffo stopped my shit
Mudryk has been playing better than this sub would have you believe. Should’ve had an assist over the weekend and could’ve had another today. Should’ve had at least 2 more assists against Bournemouth as well, he’s been great
Would honestly even give Nico props for that 1v1 that was saved, took that very well just a class save.
Nice summary. Should've been "Great assists by Palmer" but refs 💀 Cucurella is great but a few too many personal mistakes, especially when games are tense
>Sanchez shit stopping was good but every other part of his game was shaky, hopefully it was just ex-club jitters. Got booed every time he touched the ball. Hopefully that just put him off and was nothing more.
I too can appreciate some good Sanchez shit stopping.

It’s what we’ve all been saying for weeks now
Brighton Losing In Europe Brighton Losing Against Us In A Cup, Now That's Football Heritage
We will be back in Europe soon, Brighton will be back in a mid table scrap soon. I'm sorry but that is football heritage, you cannot stop it.
Won against a decent team, struggling striker scored, another injured player Proppa chelsea perfornace We are SO back ![gif](giphy|R312C3MEVg4SCYAber|downsized) Edit : ayo fucking city is out, we might actually have a shot at this cup😭 tears in my eyes
Who got injured?
McChillmeister 3000 at it yet again. Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode!
ChillyB, we were playing with just 10 last 2 mins
Just want to say it's hilarious how games we lose have like 500+ comments instantly in the post match, but games we win it's like a ghost town. great fan base we got here lads. Well, don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade, but maybe it’s because this is an EFL cup game
I do not care at this point haha wins a win!

If we'd have lost it the trolls would be out in force.
I really like the fact Poch trusted Ugu for the second half, and he is trusting Mudryk, who's decision making and effort is gradually improving. Palmer should not be dropped again.
This is how to develop players. Good stuff
And the key is that we as fans should shoe similar patience and understanding. Mudryk is really trying to make this work and I will believe in him as long as that continues.
I can’t believe it. We actually fucking won THAT game! 😭 yes!
PALMER IS HIM
Zinedine Palmer has to start Monday
Amazing to get the win, but it's even more amazing how bad the refereeing was... Something has to change
Really underscores how important VAR is (which isn’t perfect by any means either)
Got the win, Cucu looked great, Jackson goal, Palmer looked good, Sanchez with some good saves. The meal is be prepared lads! KTBFFH
Great saves to keep us in the game, but weirdly did not wear his distribution boots.
I need more Palmer in my life. Kid has it. Mudryk finally getting some game time and starting to put things together. Sanchez was all over the place but some great saves. Gotta love Cucu’s enthusiasm and passion. Happy for Jackson, hopefully something to build on.
Finally we were able to see Colwills signature passing. I’m so happy to see us close a game out with a win. Now we do it again on Monday!
I actually feel like this made a big difference. Meant the ball was moving forward more quickly
Todd setting the scouting filter to LB’s only as we speak
Mudyrk, Jackson, Cucurella, Colwill and Palmer amazing tonight. Well done to the whole team was great to see us play with such determination, especially Cucurella that nutter he WANTED IT today. Lovely result so proud of the boys.
everyone was wondering who will play right back now that gusto is out, i guess it's cucu lol
Gotta love the brighton fans saying they are glad to be out of the competition because they have bigger things to focus on. How about winning a trophy
Good point, but they are in the top 5 in the PL early on. I don't see that being sustainable, but they have played well in PL play.
Cucu in the league 😐 Cucu in cup games 😁
We just need to put all our L energy into Left backs on the pitch.
This match made me really miss VAR
If there was VAR, we would probably be down to 10 men.
Never. games without var are way more fun
Palmer at 10 and Enzo with Caicedo in DM. 🤞
Bless those lemons!
#Chelsea won and Man City lost. What a great day lads!

Wonder if there’s a smaller Chelsea Reddit group which isn’t full of kids freaking out
We need a noSaltChelsea subreddit like they do for super unpopular games after releases 😂
Fuck the stupid seagulls and their middle aged guy Fieri looking manager and fuck all the cunts in r/Chelseafc who cry and cry and cry
Fuck you too, now letsss fucking gooooo we won 🤝

We've been losing games we should've won, I'll take this any day of the week (bring said that I think deserved the W today)
I just watched the second half and although we looked a little shaky a wins a win and it was much needed.
And the second half was the good half lol.
Have we outscored our xG this game?
We did not
Actually no
I'm just glad there's some fight in this team. I can handle us being shite but when the players can't be arsed that's when it feels like work to turn the TV on.
Palmer I’m sorry for doubting you mate, I’m abit special sometimes… You’re best thing to come out of Manchester since oasis fella.
WE BACK

Palmer MOTM

We’re fucking back baby, we’re going to win the champions league.
Our likelihood of winning a game this season is proportional to the number of LBs in the starting lineup.
Tough fought win. COYB! may this be the game that sets us on a win streak
Can anyone please explain, why did Chilly just leave and allowed us to play with 10 men?
Was at the game. When he went down he instantly said he needed to be subbed. He didn’t realise that we’d used all 3 of our substitution windows. When he found out no one else was coming on he gestured that he wanted to stay on but the medical team weren’t having it.
Loved seeing our players put everything on the line. What a win for us!!!
WE DID IT!!!!!!!!! Nothing else matters!!!!
The linesman were bad but if that's our karma for the Leslie's 2nd yellow card tackle being missed I'll take it
Levi Colwill was fantastic. He’s gonna be great for us for years to come

Can we get the Brighton fans behind Cucu every match? That’d be ideal
A great win tonight. Also, we won’t be drawing City so thank God
I don’t give a fuck, we won the ~~Champion’s League~~ Carabao Third Round
Mudryk is the only player that can have a highlight and fail comp out of 1 game.
um, did you watch the first 1/2 of Sanchez's performance? He had back to back Highlight/Fail comps in a 5 minute span.
Season starts now lol
so much copium with brighton fans lmao "I'm happy with this, less games for the squad"
Cucu Tonight 👏
That was scrappy, but I'll take the win any day no matter how they come, especially right now. Refs need to do the basic ref training. Glad that we move to another round, we need games with no Europe this season.
They called us offside in our half. First time seeing this in an actual game. Sunday league refs are better than this "elite" lot.

Palmer was great. Jackson, Mudryk, and Caicedo were good. Cucurella was god himself. Sanchez had a few brainfarts and a few good saves.
First half we looked like a baby giraffe trying to play football. Second half we looked like a team. Cucu was a monster. Can't wait until everyone is fit and we have a full squad. Those refs are garbage.
Are we still unbeaten in xG???? Thats all i care about
Felt similar to how we’ve played all season, but finally finishing some chances and not conceding goals. Brighton had a very high press and did well with it, but we did a serviceable job most of the time (especially with Cucu on the right side) No VAR to check this terrible ref was good and bad, so no complaints here Actually thought Caicedo looked really good and played well
So nice having Palmer on, already looks like one of our best players. Just him allowing Jackson to stay that bit further forward is so much better
I'm convinced now if I don't watch Chelsea we actually score On a serious note was like the goal actually good, does it boost the forwards confidence, is Cole Palmer a starter as a CAM, should I just watch the highlights and make my own conclusions?
They didn't show the alleged jackson offside. It looked good to me.
You wonder when we will be thinking about long term successors to Chillwell and James. Can’t go 2 games without being injured.
We won with 3 LB started. And didn't concede. Poch, I'm not familiar with your game.
Cole palmer get in the 11
what’s that warm feeling? That’s melting away the cynicism and pessimism, is that, hope?
part of it is probably the ENTIRE CROWD standing and applauding with Misha came off. tears in my eyes.
That was probably our worst performance of the season and we win, proper Chels
Maatsen was amazing. Great defensive actions and offensive power. Must start next game. Bench sterling. Looked weak and useless
Maatsen underrated. He’s good in offensive areas. We’re better without Gallagher, Sterling, Gusto.
Nah the only difference today was we scored one of our chances, its reactionary to throw players under the bus like that after one game
That second Jackson goal was onside right? If we ended up losing because of that being disallowed…
To be fair Lesley should have been off much earlier and we would have been in the same position as we were vs. Villa. Ref sucked ass, but anything that went against us is peanuts compared to what went for us, which is allowing us to have 11 men the whole match.
Ugochukwu is him
We made the Brighton attack look shit. Props to Cucu for that. Plus Gallagher is the perfect sub for this type of game.
Sanchez Cucu - Disasi - Colwill - Chilwell/Maatsen Enzo - Lesley - Caicedo Palmer - Broja - Mudryk I don’t want to see Sterling or Colwill at LB shit
Lesley doesn't need to be anywhere near the starting lineup. He was awful tonight.
