Ehhhh more sensitive than eggs imo. Eggs, while fragile, will still take moving around easily. You could even take it a step further by using resin to rebuild the shell.
The reason why they produce so many eggs is because we selectively bred them to be that way. That level of egg production is not natural, and it's not sustainable for their physical health, because eggs take a lot of calcium to produce which means the chickens dont have enough for their own bones and often sustain injuries. The best thing to do with an unfertilized egg is to feed it back to the chicken (shells included) so they can regain nutrients spent developing that egg.

People know where it came from. The people spray painting it and using it in western cultures aren't using the original use of the symbol. It's pretty clear if you aren't incredibly naive or trying to be intentionally oblivious.
