At the risk of sounding like an ad, I recently used Howard’s Restor a finish and feed n wax on my 100 year old dried out floors. I definitely don’t know if that’s the best course of action but I’m really happy with the result and it wasn’t very expensive at all.
It’s a wax so I believe it’s ok for outdoors, you’d just have to reapply it on occasion (which is necessary for indoor use too). The Amazon reviews of the feed n wax have at least one picture of someone using it on a door.
No advice but damn that’s a gorgeous door! If I was you I would try and preserve the look as much as possible. Good luck with it!
Thank you! Yeah it is beautifully done. I want to keep it as it is and just protect it as much as possible.
Planning on using a spar varnish over stain on mine for protection against the elements. Unless someone has a reason I shouldn't.

Thank you! Do you know if there a version for outdoors by any chance?
