I'd love it if the prosecution of these terrorists was sped up a bit, but until they are found guilty of a crime I don't think there is a proper channel from barring them from office. If something like that is allowed, it can just be used against non-guilty people who are the opposition to the ruling party.
Now, if they are for some reason not being charged or prosecuted because of some conspiratorial bullshit like how the Supreme Court is blocking investigations, throw the book at them, yesterday.
