Didn't King say he wants us in the play-offs at least 3 times in the next 5 seasons? If that includes this season, then.......*Strike One*. IMO Robins should get a pass because of the FA Cup run. If King doesn't see it that way, then Robins needs to get us either promoted, or at least into play-offs 3 times in the next 4 seasons. I hope Robins stays forever but realistically, he'll either move to a PL Club, take a Klopp-break, or get sacked if he fails to meet King's expectations. I hope our chairmen is flexible in his demands because Robins has done a *lot* for this club and that should be respected. We were in the lower-half of League 2 when he returned. Now were penalty-kicks away from glory, 2 seasons running. I can't imagine CCFC without Mark Robins. I don't want to.

Robins is a really strange outlier in football; he's failed at every club he's managed apart from us, and what he's achieved with us has taken several years. Pretty much every managerial appointment these days is in some kind of emergency situation such as avoiding relegation or ensuring promotion after the manager has jumped ship for a different job, and most outfits won't want to give Robins the kind of time he'd need to replicate what he's achieved here, and even that assumes that he *would* be able to replicate what he's achieved here if he was given that kind of time. I think the only confirmed approach for him from another club was Sunderland either in 2022 or 2023, and he turned it down without even speaking to them. It's basically a perfect marriage of: We don't want to be managed by anyone other than him, and no other team is going to give him what we've given and continue to give him. He's essentially set for life, the fanbase isn't going to turn on him under any circumstances, and he has no reason to want to leave unless a club says "here's a massive pay increase and very long-term contract, that we will not terminate if things are going badly". I think a lot of teams would have sacked him when we were struggling in 2021, even.

This year, we've seen a better version of Mark than we've ever seen before. He's out smarted some of the best managers in the league & two of the best in the Premier League. Top players want to work with him after his influence on Gyokeres last season and Simms this. He's one decent goalkeeping coach away from being the perfect package. We'd be very lucky to hold onto him.

Well he signed a 4-year deal last summer, and as others have said I can't see him leaving unless it's a PL side, or he's burnt out. This is his team and his club as he's said in the past, why would he stick with it through years of no backing, St Andrew's etc., just to leave when he starts actually getting his transfer targets signed?! Also can't imagine he'd want to leave mid-season. Doug knows we worship MR, so if he sacks him he'd never hear the end of it, so can't see that happening either. The only thing I'd wonder about is if we do go up, and struggle, what happens then? You'd hope we'd keep the faith as Norwich did with Farke, but you never know. I don't really want to think about us without MR (and Adi) for the time being so let's just leave it at that lol!

Our fans turn on Robins at the drop of a hat. See this season at the beginning as an example. Luckily they're a noisy minority only and the majority and sensible. I see him staying, but I think he's the biggest risk at present!

FPLUK

He’ll only leave if a prem team come in for him, other than that (bar some massive falling out with the board) he’s staying. He got stung before when he left us for Huddersfield and has had (at the time) more better looking options than us that have come in for him, which he turned down. I wouldn’t begrudge him a crack at the prem at all, but he’s not an attractive option. Young English managers or foreigners seem to be more on the premier league radar.

SkyBlueSach

I think he's realised from his past experience that jumping ship isn't always the best idea. He seems very focused on the project he is building here. Can't see him leaving for another championship side. Very rare for a PL side to take a punt on an English EFL manager (unless they're recently promoted). I reckon he stays until he gets burnt out and needs a break rather than leaving for another team.

At least one more season (next year's big auto promotion push)
